Well, like you said they’re teachings so therefore they can’t be or can be me. Thanks for the warning though -

My fear is that if I awaken to the Truth, I will cease to experience any and all possible feelings anymore and will just be like an emotionless witness to everything, even to my own experiences. For example, if I’m with people and it seems like it’s a happy time, I’ll actually just be watching that whole play happen with no emotions or feelings about it. Is this just a myth the mind is playing? Im sure many newbies fear this as well so that’s why I ask, too. -

Self-inquiry is effective with a quiet mind if I’m not mistaken. Say a serious seeker has OCD or other severe mental disorders that causes the mind to think non-stop, how is it possible for them do self-inquiry sufficiently? Luckily I am on medication that does help reduce that mental noise, but I’m sure there are those that are less fortunate. Do you still recommend self-inquiry to them or would they benefit from other methods? Or is this path a hopeless cause for them? -
The deeper and more consistent I get into this consciousness work, the more insights and memories I seem to be getting. One facet that intrigues me the most is having a spontaneous, vivid flashback from when I was a child during a meditation session. This phenomena has happened a few times during different sessions. The flashback is only for a split second, but it’s as if I am reliving that exact moment again and it feels very real. The best way I can describe it is like how someone could show you a random photograph that you were in from years ago - a photograph that’s an insignificant memory and that you don’t care about. The flashback takes it a step further, though, in that you actually relive that moment for a second and are actually in it. That’s what makes it seemingly significant all of a sudden. As an example I was meditating yesterday; maybe 15 minutes into it I had a split second flashback from when I was at a friend’s birthday party - around the age of 7 (I’m 23 now). I suppose I was happy during that moment which is why I relived it all of a sudden..? I just could never imagine in my normal state of consciousness that it’s possible to relive or recall an exact moment like that ever again, but insights like this open me more and more to what is and what’s not possible. Have you experienced anything similar to this? What do you make of it? I can’t even remember what I did yesterday, lol.

@Nahm ?? Your advice is such a breathe of fresh air compared to how we normally hear about how success should work. Thank you. -

Well if you want some reassurance, the pursuit made my life a hella a lot better. I’m not enlightened, so what, I’m happy, functional, and my intentions are more clear. I think the problem with this work is people want to awaken on the condition that... ________ Thats fine. You won’t fail in the end. Even if you get worse your intuition will guide you. You won’t turn in a psychopath if you do this work with honesty and an open heart. -

Contemplate this part of the statement you’ve made deeply if you can. -

Name me at least one thing in your life that that has fulfilled you at all times unconditionally. -

Haha, expect more of them in the form of ego backlash. It’s part of the process -

To whom is it obvious to? -

No problem! I also did want to clarify one more point. There’s no need to condemn the ego. That will actually be counterproductive. This is why Love is talked about so much on this forum. That which can Love unconditionally, that is You! -

That’s great! You are taking back your life. You aren’t confining yourself to the stigma around it. It’s so easy for the mind to focus on the negatives because doubt is one of the top things people are afraid of. -

When I first heard Leo say this, it did frighten me. This is especially the case since I deal with anxiety and depression. Ultimately, this is nothing to be concerned or confused about, and here’s why. All my life I’ve been searching for a feeling of belonging and approval. All those times have failed, because I was not being my true self. I created an ego that always felt incomplete, always needed a sense of security from “others”, always had to please them (and my ego at the same time ). I had to constantly search for that feeling of completeness from the external world. The more I couldn’t find that, the more my life went downhill. It’s impossible for the ego to ever be fully satisfied. It needs a feeling of separation and a neediness to be in control of what’s happening for it to thrive. The ego works in very sneaky ways; it’s a trickster and will confuse you far more than the statement of “you are alone in the universe”. What changed my life, so to speak, is having a few glimpses of being “alone”. That’s when I realized that what I’ve been searching for was here all along. To fully understand what Leo means by “you are alone in the universe”, you must surrender to the Truth (which is You!). Not some of your ego, not 99.999% of it, but the entire damn thing! There’s no mental answer that will satisfy this question. All questions about “you are alone in the universe” will drop into nothingness. Until then, keep on searching until you are complete and there’s no doubt that you are alone in the universe. Being alone is actually freedom, not confinement. (Btw I’m not saying that I’m enlightened at all, but it is certainly possible to get a glimpse of what he’s talking about. This on its own will motivate and inspire you.) -

I’ve personally dealt with this myself a few months ago to various degrees. It’s literally a feeling of “death” staring right at you. Obviously I’m typing and responding to this, so I’m still here. I personally deal with anxiety. In my usual everyday life I tend to avoid stuff that is unpredictable as a coping mechanism. In recent times, though, I’ve pushed myself gradually to go out into the world and do things that I otherwise would have avoided altogether. This is what I’ve found will help, and if you seek therapy they will also help guide you facing those irrational fears and not running away from it. So there need not to run away from your fears, but instead learn to embrace it. You don’t need to push yourself too hard and too fast, but gradually you’ll discover that the fears you experience are only imagined. -

Even this statement is not sufficient to explain consciousness/reality/God. Every statement and no statement is and is not -
Who doesn’t want to have an organized workspace? Whether it be at your house, your office, car, or even just your room, I believe that having an organized and healthy area, especially in the places you spend most of your time can save you from a lot of stress and motivate you. This can go hand in hand with lifestyle minimalism... just take a look inside an Apple store for example. Here’s a channel I discovered a few years ago (and highly recommend) called “Clean My Space”. The idea of learning how to clean may seem silly, but building these simple, everyday habits can be life transforming to your overall lifestyle https://www.youtube.com/user/cleanmyspace You may also be inspired by the host of the channel, Melissa Maker. She’s an entrepreneur and started her own cleaning company in 2006. She explains her story here.

In terms of credibility and consistency I would say yes. Also if you are scientifically minded and analytical, he is for sure one of the best sources of information on there.

I recommend this video if you feel stuck on your journey and to see a different perspective
