Dealing with Ego backlash
Dealing with Ego backlash@AlwaysBeNice There's a good reason they were quickly banned in the late 60's. People's minds were being opened too easily, and that doesn't bode well for the status quo and the egos in power.
But also ordinary people abuse them too easily, misunderstanding the truth being shown.

Video games, social media, depression, girls?
Video games, social media, depression, girls?@Uncover Our culture these days is very toxic, materialistic, and dysfunctional. Video games contribute a lot to that. They ruin your ability to be do consciousness work quite badly. When your mind is addicted to mental stimulation, like video games, how can you sit and contemplate life? How can you meditate? How can you do yoga? How can you self-reflect? It will be too boring. Your mind will be craving easy entertainment like crack.
I would suggest you apply mindfulness to your video game habit and notice how ultimately unfulfilling it is. The pleasure is hollow. There's no real satisfaction to be had there. Even the very best video game gets boring and lame after a week or two. And then what are you left with? Boredom and suffering.
Start to notice this larger meta-pattern. That will help you to ween yourself off games. You are 22 years old. It's time to grow up. You should be focused 100% on building your life, your career, your skillset, your relationships, and developing your consciousness. The time for games is over.
Life IS the ultimate game! Master IT. The joys of mastering life are beyond anything any video game can offer you. But it's a mature kind of joy. Not the sugary joy of video games.
Try starting a daily meditation practice. Notice how difficult it will be for you.
As far as girls go, you need to expose yourself to massive experience with girls to fix that problem. Look into pickup, but be careful not to buy too much into the dogma. The key for you is to be going out every weekend and talking to lots of girls. That will auto-correct many issues as far as dating goes. Stop looking for 1 girl and start learning how to attract all girls in general.

Law of attraction - bentinho Massaro
Law of attraction - bentinho Massaro@egoless The mind is a creativity engine. It can tap into infinite creativity to shape reality in amazing ways.
The mind is not merely to be transcended. It must be purified, trained, fed, and harnessed to do great work. Then you have the best of both worlds.
You have a supercomputer between your ears yet what do you use it for? Watching stupid cat videos and criticizing others? Rather a waste, no?

What does it mean that Enlightenment has infinite depth?
What does it mean that Enlightenment has infinite depth?@Alien You answered your own question.
If enlightenment is raw reality, and reality is infinite, well... there you have it. You can keep exploring it forever.

Western Psychology
Western PsychologyOr to put it this way. No knowledge is inherently detrimental. There is dogma everywhere.
Right now you are perhaps blindly believing the dogma of enlightenment and spirituality. It is good to have some counter.
The more knowledge you have, the more you realize that reality is not black and white. There are infinite perspectives, and you will never know nothing for certain at all. Nobody really does. Then you are ready to accept.

Surely My LP Is Just My Mind Deceiving Me????
Surely My LP Is Just My Mind Deceiving Me????You can't. That's the point.
Knowledge is a nontrivial thing. Investigation is required to separate the fake from the genuine. You cannot know a priori.
So maybe rather than being so insistent that all your knowledge be 100% correct, you loosen that requirement and bask a bit with the uncertainty, and the possibility that some of the things governing you could be wrong/deceptions. And be okay with that.
The goal isn't perfection (that's a self-deception mechanism) but gradual improvement.
This work of personal development is all about working with imperfect information. You have to get good with handling doubt and uncertainty. You have to be comfortable navigating with imperfect maps. Trust that things will gel over time as you do the work and follow the right principles. LP is one of those right principles. How can you know it's right? Well, technically you can't know. But you can feel or intuit it. And there is always the option of dropping it later on if you find it too limiting.

Surely My LP Is Just My Mind Deceiving Me????
Surely My LP Is Just My Mind Deceiving Me????@Seed See, there you go again! You've managed to use the self-deception video to deceive yourself.
Life purpose is a CONSCIOUS CONSTRUCTION.
You are alive so you can participate in the glory of creation.
The question is, what do you most authentically want to create?
Don't think of "the authentic self" as a deception. The authentic self is what you're left with after all the self-deceptions have been exposed. That's the Infinite Self. And the Infinite Self has unique strengths, weaknesses, desires, and motives. It isn't just here to eat, shit, and fuck. It's here for a higher calling.
Life purpose is not about feeding the ego. Life purpose is about purifying yourself of ego so that Infinite Intelligence can work through you, using your body and mind as a vehicle of infinite creation.
Enlightenment doesn't rob you of life purpose. Enlightenment supercharges it. The reason life purpose is so rare and difficult is precisely because the ego/mind is so wrapped up in itself. To be effective at life purpose, you must become selfless. Life purpose is about what you will create and gift to the world. It takes a very mature and conscious mind to devote yourself to living life beyond your self.
You are a vehicle of God's creative power. The only question is, how conscious and connected are you to that? And what will you create?
You cannot avoid creation. You will either create something conscious and wonderful, or something unconscious and evil. By choosing to do nothing, you will in-effect create misery and evil.
Love, truth, health, consciousness, creativity, beauty, discovery, ecology, community, passion.... these are not delusion. These are the values of a purified mind. Your job is to sacrifice yourself for the above.
Or don't. Most don't.

Wanting: Good Or Bad?
Wanting: Good Or Bad?Hi, Nima, nice to meet you.
I can only offer an observation based upon years of observation that is now coming into my conscious awareness; there is a universal flow of consciousness. We can see it through observable replicable pattern; The Global Consciousness Project is one example of an experimenter in progress with scientific controls to collect more data about observable collective consciousness patterns. For example there was a global shift of consciousness just prior to 9/11 which was measurable and quantifiable.
My personal direct experience is, that once rightly aligned with "what is," one can see "what is" very clearly and everything appears to happen based upon one's core emotive creative space; synced with the inner creative space of others. Literally the power of one's self talk dictates one's reality. Either this is true or? My observations are factual but my causation and correlation is askew?
Considering I hear of this awareness described by the spiritual and the non spiritual, (IE; Sam Harris) I tend to think my observation is true. It also seems that the more aware one is, the more subtle the patterns reflection becomes if this makes sense? You literally see your inner state reflected back at you through the manifestation of your inner self talk state in your outward life.
I would love some other feedback about this question, I think its an awesome question. My guess is wishful thinking is the successive approximation towards manifestation of something from nothing. Does wishful thinking lead to an idea? Does the idea lead to wishful thinking which then becomes desire which transforms into action? It would be interesting to discern the sequence of the pattern for replication.

Which one of us is crazy?
Which one of us is crazy?@smd "Crazy" is a subjective, conceptual label. Its important to know this. Because right now it sounds like your in a sort of "what's the meaning of life?" sort of half-ass philosophy, bull shitting everywhere.
Its important to know what you mean by "crazy" because otherwise your just going to say philosophical sounding stuff, and wonder. In reality, what @YaNanNallari said is pretty much true.
What you really mean by crazy (at least that I picked up on) is that he's strategically bad. And you think that he's crazy because strategically his first idea seems like a bad idea, but then you wonder, if this is actually a more 'right' and strategically better way?
If you want the truth to your question, its that his idea, and your idea are both strategically bad. Or both "crazy" what you need to realize and change about your mindset is that relationships don't provide everlasting happiness, relationships are 'material' Which aren't 'bad', but don't provide the happiness you want
Instead adopt an self-actualized mindset, realize how relationships are fucking people over in life. People believe in them to much.

How possible is a career revolving around spirituality
How possible is a career revolving around spiritualityYour life purpose should also grow you spiritually. A true life purpose does this. A true life purpose make you realize, make you grow, make you feel love not only for yourself and what you're doing, but also for others. When you feel the beauty of it and the true, divine power, you also feel and know it will have the same effect on others, if done "correctly", with the help of the infinite, higher self. Life purpose inevitably is directed towards others.
You have spirituality when everything you do comes from something deep, infinite, something higher than illusion.
A career or business involving a true spiritual connection is 100% viable, because it is directed towards others, towards everything. Again, it has power if done "correctly".
It is also hard to be always in a deep connection with your lp (because of our own superficiality), that's why sometimes we may not be optimistic.

Reality grants everything
Reality grants everythingEverything happens as it must happen. Reality is absolutely infinite, meaning everything that could happen, will happen at some point (in consciousness). That's what Leo tried to get across to you with his analogy of the infinte block of sand in which everything that could ever be shaped out of it, is in a sense already there. The same goes for his blog-video with the sheet of paper and the (adorable) little paper-figures. To grasp this is the ultimate proof for the fact that you don't have free will and just why God permits "evil" to occur - it just couldn't be any other way, you see? So, to apply this in some practical way to your life, whenever you wonder why you feel so stuck in your life or why you can't progress on your spiritual path and just why you seemingly can't achieve enlightenment or why bad things happen to you and why there are terrorists and why there are wars and all sorts of crimes commited against our own human kind and why we destroy our planet and just why life tends to play out for you as it does - remember that reality grants everything and that everything happens just as it has to happen. THIS IS IT FOLKS! It's the ultimate act of surrender, the final stage of complete ego-death - the moment when you truly realise that there is just absolutely no control whatsoever over anything that is or that happens. This is also what is meant by some other post floating around here titled "All mystics agree on this one thing...", which is that: "all is well". It's precisely for this exact reason that e v e r y t h i n g h a p p e n s a s i t h a s t o . You just can't escape it, you see? Every remaining resistance against this is remaining ego, is remaining self-deception, is remaining unnecessary suffering. To truly embrace this fact is what will make you flow with life in perfect union and harmony. This is in it's essence to not give a fuck, at all. You simply don't care about the outcome anymore - the total letting-go of absolutely everything. You will no longer care about whether you will achieve enlightenment or not, you won't care about the achievement of other "higher states of consciousness", you will no longer care about life or death, a t a l l . You won't even care about the fact that you don't care. You simply let life happen as it happens by allowing everything. You are the super-conductor for life, as pure as it can be. I'd propose to you to contemplate this for a while.

Life beyond being Human
Life beyond being HumanThere are many worlds and dimensions to explore, the main one is the 3D we are residing in right now with our physical bodies. When one fully explores and masters this plane of existence, then one can focus on the higher planes of existence. One cannot skip class.
When you go to sleep in this dimension, you wake up in another dimension. But you don't remember, because it's not relevant for the evolution of your state of consciousness.
One can consciously travel to other dimensions after the body goes to sleep. #astralProjection
Going beyond the 4D projections of the mind in dreamstate and passing the threshold to the next dimension....where you can meet ascended masters, angels, ETs...this is from my perspective the ultimate goal. You can do this during your lifetime, every day.

All mystics agree on this one thing...
All mystics agree on this one thing...Just be aware of the present moment. Do not try to control anything. Just be keenly-aware. Let what happens happen.

The Use of Beliefs in Enlightenment Work
The Use of Beliefs in Enlightenment WorkThis is the literal definition of belief.....
If enlightenment is just being present and accepting what is as it is it appears that they are complementary not contradictory.

The Use of Beliefs in Enlightenment Work
The Use of Beliefs in Enlightenment Work@Joseph Maynor
I see what you mean there but from my perspective that's not as effective in the long term as it is in the short term.
Beliefs are interconnected in a web of beliefs. Beliefs have a frequency of vibration and attract beliefs and thoughts that are similar in vibration.
If you strenghten a thought that is RELATED to the original thought of a belief; that you tried to look at as an emerging thought, then you strenghten the original belief. So, the whole process of changing beliefs requires identifying all of the related beliefs and then changing them step-by-step.
Also, read this post to find out which beliefs are good to hold on to, and which beliefs you better let go as fast as possible.

All my desires getting sniped by meaninglessness
All my desires getting sniped by meaninglessness@StephenK Reground yourself in the beauty of being.
All your good motivations will come back as you make it through this work. Let the fraudulent, inauthentic motivations fall away.
This requires courage and faith.

Spiral Dynamics: Do Turquoises exist?
Spiral Dynamics: Do Turquoises exist?I’ve said before that I think this video “How to Change the World” (linked below) sums up Turquoise. Follow that life purpose. Plug up the Swiss cheese holes in your Maslow’s Pyramid. Practice your Enlightenment work. And maybe one day you will be so abundant that you can give love to reality very unconditionally. It’s all about building your life so well and so authentically that you can be a conduit of love to the whole world. That’s Turquoise. See how high of a level this is? And you guys are worried about Coral! Live it, don’t just fantasize about it. Use it to fascilitate your authentic growth, don’t let these ideas get in the way of that. That’s my main point. If you focus on honoring the Authentic-Self by maintaining keen-awareness of reality in the present moment, all things else will be added unto you. Don’t try to chase these stages.

Another good video to watch

Why shouldn't I want to be deceived?
Why shouldn't I want to be deceived?Lol ..Because where there is deception there is disorder and therefore conflict. Unless you like disorder and conflict of course ?
-
Why shouldn't I want to be deceived?
Why shouldn't I want to be deceived?God will never fully undeceive himself! That’s how consciousness “designed” the reality. Fully liberating from deception would mean that maya aka the whole world/perspective would disappear. It is impossible without the death. All in all it was god’s decision to experience this world and it was possible only through the deception of himself. I understand what Leo means. Enlightenment is not the full liberation from the deception. You still live in this world therefore you are still deceiving yourself. However Enlightenment gives you experiential truth of who you are that’s it..

What is Maya
What is MayaMaya is the implicit assumption that there is something outside of consciousness.

What is Maya
What is Maya@Monkey-man Yes, you're jailbreaking your humanness. Sort of like hacking the OS to get to the BIOS.
Your OS is: Human
Your BIOS is: God
The OS is the BIOS, but also they are different.

Me and the mind
Me and the mind@sarapr The I preceeds the mind. The I never changes for the mind. The mind can change the dream of the I. “Me” is directly of the mind, and directly of the I. Alignment is alignment.

What is a god?
What is a god?@Phillip Hi Phillip. Generally speaking God or the absolute is the emptiness on which everything appears within consciousness. It's not something you can put into words or communicate directly because we only know from appearances. So that being said, the fingerprints of God are all around you.

Are Our Visual Sensations Actually Flat Rather Than 3-Dimensional?
Are Our Visual Sensations Actually Flat Rather Than 3-Dimensional?Just don't swing the pendulum too far in the opposite end.
The distinctions you make still matter very much.
To be effective in the world is to make finer and more accurate distinctions than other people make.
An expert is someone who has a collection of really good distinctions in a particular field.
In this work you must learn to both destroy all distinctions, and make a ton of highly accurate and useful distinctions, all at the same time.
The mind is like a horse. It needs to be properly reigned in and tamed, then it is good. Living without mind is not an option. So your only options are to learn to use it well, or not.

I’m More Conscious Than You
I’m More Conscious Than YouYour degree of unconditional love for everything around you.
The whole game of the ego is that it wants everything to be a certain way. When that criteria doesn't get met, that's when your resistance to what is kicks in.
