  1. Is This The Highest State of Awareness?
Is This The Highest State of Awareness?
I'm reading a book now by Jan Esmann called Lovebliss: The Essence of Self-Realization, and in it he seems to suggest that there is a higher level of awareness than even sahaja samadhi (classical enlightenment) called Shiva consciousness:
"It can only be reached through Siddha Yoga, which means the Yoga of Shaktipāt. In this yoga, which is also known as Kundalinī Maha Yoga, you get visions of what we call pearls: small luminous dots appearing in your field of vision whether your eyes are closed or open or whether you are meditating or not. In the beginning, they come in meditation, but later also when out of meditation. There is a white, a black, a red and a blue pearl. The Blue Pearl is the highest and seeing it is actually a blessing in itself, even though you may feel no different from it. If you are fortunate enough to enter the Blue Pearl, you enter an infinite cyan-blue space, or infinite void of supreme cyan-blue lovebliss. It fills the entire universe, yet the entire universe is contained in that small pearl. If you have this supreme experience, or reach this state (language fails: you ARE THIS), which is the most supreme any yogi can have, then you by definition become a Siddha: A perfected being."
Jan's language and concepts are a bit arcane, so I'm not sure how prevalent this idea is.  Is anybody familiar with this? Thanks guys.

  2. What happens after death
    What happens after death
@PT89 You already don't exist. You are just an idea. You were never actually born.
The point of awakening is to realize there is no time, no life, no death.
You are dead right now. This is what death looks like.
See, you have confused Absolute Infinity for life. That's your problem.
This cannot possibly be understood until you awaken (die).

  3. Progress is like a YO YO
Progress is like a YO YO
@LRyan Because enlightenment alone is not enough. Enlightenment doesn't actually transform your old self very much. What's necessary in addition to enlightenment is a complete consciousness of all the habits, emotions, lies, manipulations,  and agendas of the self. That's where the bulk of the work lies. The self is a stubborn bastard that refuses to change because its job is to stay the self.
The self must be gradually aligned with the Absolute through thousands of hours of consciousness work -- not merely more meditation or self-inquiry. This involves questioning all your motivations, fears, desires, emotional triggers, clearing your chakras, etc, etc.
One enlightenment experience is NOT going to radically transform the self the way most people hope.
You keep losing ground because, despite your glimpses and insights, you are still fundamentally deeply unconscious. That's what needs to be worked on. You need to bring the Absolute into your mundane life.
Forgetfulness is a hallmark of this whole path. That's why in Islam they pray 5 times a day: to remind themselves to wake up. (And it still largely doesn't work). This shows you just how strong of a force the self is.

  4. Matrix - Movie (high) insights
    Matrix - Movie (high) insights
There's definitely tapping into something when making this movie, remember there are universal library's that can be tapped into if your frequency is high enough and you are in that flow-state where there is little thinking and more of an automatic flow of energy. All the creators and directors of Stargate, Starwars and especially Star-trek shows received downloads and challenged messages from higher intelligent energies from my sources although not all the time they are aware of it and can be like a hypnotic-state of energy flow.
Westworld and Travelers as shows and John Carter, Jupiter Ascending, Arrival and many others have moments or scene's where there is definitely higher intelligence tapping.
Although many movies and shows could be entirely non-related and earthbound story-line its reading 'in-between' the lines that's important as you have done here. Well said.

  5. What kind of problems are you going through?
What kind of problems are you going through?
Nope, it just changes the thoughts. But as long as you believe in good, you will believe in bad. So, the suffering just perpetuates itself

  6. Did Sadhguru Go Mad?
    Did Sadhguru Go Mad?
There are thousands of such yogis and sages all around the world. They just don't get much press.
The problem is that people mistake publicity, marketing, and external success with spiritual mastery.
The only reason we're talking about Sadhguru is because he has successful marketing. The only reason you're talking to me is because I have successful marketing.
Without the right marketing, you would just be watching some Netflix right now, jerking off in your basement, and thinking you have the whole world figured out.

  7. The mary and jane metaphor suggest solipsism?
The mary and jane metaphor suggest solipsism?
My approach really isn't different. It's just that my work is much more holistic. Most teachers teach a strictly narrow path toward enlightenment in the same way that most math teachers only teach math. But that doesn't mean that life is only about math.
See, most enlightenment teachers won't talk about how to have great sex. Because that's not their specialization. But that doesn't mean learning how to have great sex isn't deeply rewarding and worthwhile. Or that becoming enlightened obviates such learning. What you see with Actualized.org is not me being a nonduality teacher. You see my general passion for learning about life, of which nonduality just happens to be ONE facet. My goal was never nonduality, but living a great life and learning about a variety of cool stuff.
Enlightenment is ONE domain of life. It just happens to be a very important domain because it's the domain of "What is the substance of EVERYTHING?" That's a pretty important and epic domain. But nevertheless, it's just ONE domain. And enlightenment is -- strictly speaking -- no more important than anything else. There is no reason why you should become enlightenment. And there is nothing wrong with you if you choose to ignore enlightenment entirely and decide to go become a potato farmer or an axe murderer instead. Life is free. You can do whatever the hell you like. Just be ware of the consequences.
You cannot derive an ought from an is.
If it's an illusion... so what? Life goes on just as before. The only difference is you understand it's an illusion. You can still raise your illusory children, walk your illusory dog, jerk your illusory dick, and eat your illusory ice cream.
You can be miserable in the illusion or joyful in the illusion. Either way it's an illusion. And it doesn't matter how you feel about it from the universe's perspective. But how you feel probably makes all the difference from your perspective.

  8. Post Enlightenment Observations
    Post Enlightenment Observations
@Joseph Maynor Absolute truth is unchanging and thats what you realise so the realisation is permanent. So yes.

  9. Any defender of the materialist narrative here?
Any defender of the materialist narrative here?
Be very careful here. Your understanding of science is lacking and your perspective has many factual inaccuracies. Here are some corrections for you:
Science has conclusively disproven the existence of matter, absolute time, and absolute space over 100 years ago. Black holes, anti-matter, curvature of space-time says nothing about the ontology of such things. You are confusing phenomena with substance. Spirituality doesn't disqualify proper science, nor vice-versa. Reality according to quantum mechanics is an infinite quantum wave function (nondual singularity) with no such thing as space, time, particles, or a physical world. Quantum mechanics has shown that the process of observation necessarily affects all knowledge of the world because subject/object are entangled. Most of the fathers of quantum mechanics were in fact mystics. They did not believe in materialism. Biology has never proven the existence of an ego. Science has never proven the existence of a physical world. Science has never proven the existence of any boundaries between objects. The best cosmological theories seem to show that the universe arose from nothing. The latest evidence from biology is showing that evolutionary mutations are non-random. All of the above inaccuracies come from mainstream cultural notions of science, which are 300 years out of date and totally backwards. Real science is not what people think it is. And the most modern science fully supports and is compatible with nonduality. Obviously, because the universe is nondual.
There is a big difference between strict scientific observations (which are valid) and science as a materialist religion (which is invalid). The place where popular science gets into trouble is when it tries cast the world as a clockwork universe. But this has been clearly disproven for over 100 years. The worldview of Aristotle and Newton is dead. The only problem is, 99% of people still don't realize it. Because their understanding of modern science is a woefully inadequate cartoon caricature.

  10. Opiate Withdrawl and Depersonalisation.
    Opiate Withdrawl and Depersonalisation.
The devil flips everything upside-down, inside-out.
    Bad is called good.
    Falsehood is called truth.
    Insanity is called sanity.
    Dysfunction is called success.
    And illness is called health.
The labels society creates are designed to perpetuate ego. So of course society will tend to hold spiritual purification as "evil". That's why psychedelics are demonized, for example.
Buddhism is too radical for a materialist culture to accept. It's only accepted as "another religion".
But with all that said, there is still a difference between depersonalization and enlightenment. Depersonalization is incomplete, half-baked. The Infinite Self isn't realized. God is not realized. Love is not realized. The mind is not fully jailbroken.

  11. Beware of Psychic Readings
    Beware of Psychic Readings
@MM1988 She predicted I would win a major pending legal case.
There was no way she could have known I had a major pending legal case.
She told me, "Don't worry. You will win it." And so I did, a year later.
Real psychics do WAY more than cold-reading. They actually have paranormal powers. The nature of paranormal powers is that they are intuitive and therefore vague.
While there may be some scammers, the whole "scammers" thing is overstated. That's just an excuse the materialist paradigm must make because that model of reality cannot account for any paranormal phenomena.
After the levels of consciousness I've experienced, to me, anything paranormal looks quaint and quite normal. I have experienced things that are more radical than getting anally probed by an alien. So if an alien ever tries to anally probe me, at least I can think to myself, "Well, at least this is still not as radical as a 5-MeO-DMT breakthrough."

  12. The prevalence of 'personality' in enlightened beings
The prevalence of 'personality' in enlightened beings
People think Enlightened people are like Jesus or something.  That's false.  The point of Enlightenment is to free yourself from all ideologies.  Reality is not like Jesus.  Jesus is a story, a set of beliefs, a set of visualizations that we've been culturally programmed with.  Jesus is a fantasy of the Mind.  So, Enlightened people transcend value categories and aim to transcend them.  Reality is what it is outside of the cubby-holes that the Mind desires to fit reality into.  We think that the virtuous person is someone who tries to fit themselves into the virtue cubby-holes.  That is a problematic paradigm though.  It's unrealistic, in a word.  It's all Egoic fantasy about trying to control reality to fit a thought about reality.  And we don't realize that this is impossible.  Most of us don't realize it.  So -- no -- Enlightened people are not necessarily goodie-goodies.  They're real.  They're accepted their shadow traits and have re-integrated them.  And they are conscious of their shadow traits.  They understand how all of this works, how Ego works, etc.

  13. How is life just a dream?
How is life just a dream?
    It wasn't a metaphore and it wasn't a belief.
I've had the experience of awaking from life to see that it was just a dream. You can too. At this level of realization, ordinary life as you knew it is over. You are literally physically dead.
Don't assume you've got enlightenment figured out. There are many depths to it. Realizing no-self is one thing, and realizing that all of reality is unreal is yet another. It is possible to be so conscous that you look around the room and the very physical objects you see around are realized to be non-existent. Someone could point a loaded gun to your head and you would not care if they pulled the trigger because you absolutely know it is unreal and makes no difference. Your true nature is infinite and unkillable. Because you already are death itself.
"There is no doubt whatsoever that the universe is the merest illusion."
    -- Ramana Maharshi
At this point I sometimes forget that 99.9999% of people -- even those who pursue enlightenment -- have no direct experience of what I am saying, and so to them it sounds like nonsense or exaggeration or cute metaphores or philosophical theories or some word game or me misinterpreting the scriptures. It is not that. It is precisely as I said. The only problem is, it's too damn radical and requires years of hardcore consciousness work to glimpse without 5-MeO-DMT.
Many of you guys are still underestimating the full ramifications of nonduality. It's far more radical that you presently realize. That is okay. It's impossible to understand it so long as you are yourself. All I would suggest is, don't get cocky. Don't think you got this thing figured out just because you watched some Rupert Spira videos or did a few hits of LSD.
There's more to the rabbit hole than meets the eye, and lots of people I notice are starting to get too cocky here -- starting to dismiss all reading and all theory as mental masturbation -- just because they've dipped their toe into it or watched a bunch of over-simplified neo-advaita videos.
The scriptures are voluminous for good reason. This stuff ain't so simple as people first expect. Show respect to the wide range of subtle literature on this topic. Read all the books on my book list in the Consciousness category. Only then will you will start to apprecitate the depth, complexity, and subtlty here.

  14. Unhappy with my thoughts
    Unhappy with my thoughts
Life is the most amazing thing imaginable. How anyone can not be motivated by its infinite beauty is sad to me.
You have been given the greatest gift possible -- this infinte dream -- but you take it for granted due to petty egoic issues.

  15. how fast is the path to enlightenment?
how fast is the path to enlightenment?
Enlightenment can be attained quite fast. But path never ends, there's always more coz it goes beyond enlightenment. When you slaughter all of your demons, you will have to deal with demons of the whole world. Thats why there is such thing as boddhisatvas, they can't help but deal with suffering of the whole world, its not up to them, thats how things work, its a force of evolution.

  16. How does One Unify their Neurotic Mind?
How does One Unify their Neurotic Mind?
That's just because you're not being mindful enough as you do it.
In fact, sex and all your multiple partners makes you suffer. You're a slave to your dick.
See, the trick is, you actually enjoy your suffering. Such that you've forgotten it's suffering.

  17. Life purpose after enlightenment
    Life purpose after enlightenment
@Emne Depends on how deep and pure your LP was to begin with.
This sort of question is best left open. Walk the path and trust that it will all turn out for the best. Your LP will evolve and perhaps radically change. And that's all good, as it should be.
@Nahm Great answer. That's exactly it. Really, no different than before enlightenment (if you were careful to think about how life works). It should have been pretty obvious that with death all accomplishments get wiped away, so they are of course purely relative and self-justifying.
Life is just one grand jerk off session. Exactly as it should be. Therein lies its beauty.

  18. Awareness and naive realism
    Awareness and naive realism
That's key the lesson of epistemology: you do not know who to trust. And you don't even know if you can trust yourself. Hence you must investigate all these matters for yourself from scratch with a totally open mind and see what your investigation will reveal. If you assume ahead of time that you know what will be revealed, that is a mistake. That's closedmindedness.
So, for example, if you've never tried a psychedelic and you think you know what it is or isn't, you've made an epistemic blunder. Because nothing can be know a priori without 1st hand investigation and empirical validation. This sort of mistake is extremely common even among the most intelligent of people.
You cannot even know that 1+1=2 until you sit down and actually do the math and see what's what for yourself.
Hence Actualized.org teachings are not to be believed, but investigated and validated or falsified by YOU, personally, intimately, using utmost care.

  19. what is the self in a nutshell
what is the self in a nutshell
Most emotions for people are entirely fear-based, including love and compassion.
When the fear-based paradigm is left behind, fear is left behind, and what remains are appreciation-based emotions such as gratitude, humor, wonder and awe.
These are often sold as love but I see no advantage to using such a loaded and misleading word, only disadvantage, because it is inevitably associated with all the wrong (fear-based) things and they have absolutely nothing in common.
There are other ways in which spirituality is sold as love and there are arguments for using that word, but I find them all equally misleading.

  20. what is the self in a nutshell
what is the self in a nutshell
@Mighty Mouse You have yet to have an awakening to infinite love.
Try contemplating it: What is love?
It is not an emotion and it has nothing to do with fear.

  21. Really afraid of nothinghness
    Really afraid of nothinghness
@jpablos16 If you feel your spiritual journey is talking on a dark, sinister quality, then what you're missing is the self-love component of this path.
Only you can decide whether you should be pursing success vs spirituality.
It definitely is possible to do both. But it's not necessarily a smart idea to begin both endeavors simultaneously. You can make a plan to work on shoring up your career for 3 years, and then moving your time and energy into more serious spiritual pursuit. Or vice versa.
If you choose to focus on your success/career, you can still keep a small meditation habit going and read books, etc.
You gotta have a larger strategic plan. Draft up a plan for the next 10 years of your life. So you're not living month to month. In 10 years you can accomplish A LOT of stuff if you plan it out well. Within 10 years you can: attain enlightenment, build up a solid career, buy a house, get a nice girlfriend, have a child, and more! You can have all of that by the time you're 31! Just think about that.

  22. The 5-MeO-DMT Mega-Thread
    The 5-MeO-DMT Mega-Thread
@Mercurio3 There is no body, and there is a body. You have to be clear about which level of reality you're talking about. In the same way that when you talk about "a cat", that's one level vs saying "there are only atoms, no cats". That's another level. The nature of a nondual reality is that in order to talk about it, you have to define your terms, and your terms will always be limited and ultimately break down when taken far enough. Language is a pragmatic tool of the mind. It is not ultimate truth, but it can be relatively true.
No, I didn't get any orange light. I just became directly aware of absolute infinity.
N,N-DMT is much more visual than 5-MeO, so that's probably why.

  23. Mechanics of video games vs reality, the same?
Mechanics of video games vs reality, the same?
@blazed Yes, quantum mechanics has actually converged with nonduality.
The net conclusion of quantum mechanics is that nothing exists. The entire universe is one single quantum wave function (infinite & nondual) until it is collapsed down into particular, relative phenomena through a process of observation/measurement. In other words, the universe is a strange loop!
The problem is, the significance of these discoveries are still unknown by most human beings, including most scientists. Although many of the fathers of quantum mechanics did grasp the horrifying metaphysical consequences: there is no physical world. The world is a hallucination.
But it's one thing to grasp this intellectual via some model like quantum mechanics, and a totally nother thing to actually experience it directly as a living reality. Many of the fathers of quantum mechanics gravitated towards mysticism and Eastern philosophy as a result. Because they grasped that reality is non-Newtonian. It is NOT a clockwork machine. It is a dream machine, minus the machine.
Can you look around the room and notice that it doesn't actually exist? That's what spirituality is about.

  24. Is D.Trump higher consciousness than an average priest?
Is D.Trump higher consciousness than an average priest?
...wow, stupidity manifested. Are you gassing Dimetrizine right now? Read the Pentagon papers. Wars and the greatest terror operations of the world (carried out by the U.S. -- such as Vietnam/Agent Orange, etc.) were theorized and executed by huge Corporate planners such as the Rand Corporation.
The U.S. is not a democracy, it is a two-party corporate polyarchy and elections are commodoties, where the platforms are bought and sold and Congress is then staffed largely by CEO's such as those of IBM, etc. Choice becomes Coke or Pepsi. At least there is sorta free speech...
A terror action carried out by the U.S. is called a "police action", but is actually an illegal invasion (such as every Iraq war since Bush Sr.) and a blatent violation of the Nuremburg Convention, established post WWII. Every president since at least Carter was eligiable for imprisonment for such warrior actions, yet they always get away with it, because of the assumption "We own the World!". It's called Empire. Wake the fuck up.

  25. About real spiritual dharma vs BS spirituality
About real spiritual dharma vs BS spirituality
That's too gross of an approach to this field. It's not so simple as: this is true, that is not.
There are many levels and depths of teaching. Different people need different teachings depending on where they are in life.
There is absolutely a need for newbie teachings. In fact, they are the most important in many ways, because that's where 98% of the world is at.
Almost every teaching has its place, and its pros and cons. And I find you can learn a lot even from re-reading newbie material. So don't get too snobbish.
