  1. I don't want anyone to decide for me of course but what I do need help with is the decision making process like pros and cons. I feel college is great cause I get knowledge. I could finish my psychology major, but from the two classes I took (one in high school, and the one I'm about to finish this semester) it seems good but personal development seens 10x more powerful then what psych majors learn about human behavior. Psychology majors aren't going to get as much out of human potential as the yogis or self help junkies. But I don't want to miss out on anything. Or I could drop out and just look for my LP while I work a job. I don't know. That would be nice cause I HATE some of school. Some of this stuff I learn like math is cool on one hand but not something I need or really want to study. General education doesn't seem to be something I need to study. I'm kind of confused and all over the place. I know my life's purpose is not going to be found in a degree also. Will I have more time on my hands working a full time job to pursue the important things to me? Or would college be a good option for efficient searching for my life purpose? College seems to take up a lot of time. Any advice would help.
  2. @Rinne Love the profile pic ???
  3. After wild wild country and seeing his teachings, what’s your full opinion on Osho? Was he great in some aspects but also a zen devil? Etc...Etc...
  4. Definitly not. Better to see life as something beautful and a gift. Something to be enjoyed and loved. And to live like that for real.
  5. This model is confusing for me sometimes and sometimes hard for me to apply. I have some questions I want help with, and figured if you do too then here is a place! More then questions would be great too. Any insight helps. Stage Blue- Would I still be stage blue if I’m absolutistic on anything? Like what about things like life purpose? Wouldn’t life purpose do good for every human being on the planet? Or is that too black and white of thinking? Or say humans doing personal development? Wouldn’t it be absolute that every human being could benefit from this work? Is this still stage blue or...? Stage Yellow- How is it that EVERY perspective is partial? Aren’t some perspective dead wrong and just don’t correlate to the world at all on a relative level? Like if someone says we don’t live on a planet, dead wrong, wouldn’t it be false? The only way I see this working is through an enlightened consciousness where all ideas die, and reality is literally just a perspective. The materialist paradigm would have to die, and would that just be orange leaving to green? I don’t even know. How could 1% of the world be at this all partial perspectives perspective even? Any help?
  6. I’ve had good insights from these substances. Alcohol has shown me the confidence level I want to be at permanently. Weed has helped me work on emotional issues. Now I just need to change my behavior from these insights. I don’t feel like they have the power to take you super far though but I don’t really know tbh. Maybe it is possible to have ego death on these substances? I want to try psychedelics for personal development and consciousness work instead. Also alcohol is not good for you biologically and it possible that weed can have effects on the brain. Also here is a good video. There seems to be some truth in this perspective.
  7. When it comes to mastery, I was wondering if y’all think that mastery can only be found in certain areas for certain people. Do you guys think mastery can only be found on certain strengths and talents by certain people? For example, let’s say somebody sucks at something maybe like drawing, but do you think he could become a master? What if his brain just isn’t wired for the activity fully and he won’t ever be a Picasso? Or maybe his strengths aren’t in that area. Or maybe sports. Somebody’s physical body just isn’t capable to reach the highest levels. I used to think that it doesn’t matter anybody can do anything. But on nore inspection it seems not everything is actually possible for everyone. Of course don’t use that as an excuse to limit yourself. And I don’t really beleive in natural talent that much. I’m just thinking about how maybe on a biological or mental level some people won’t ever be as good at certain things as others. In some activities it seems not everyone is an equal and can’t reach the highest levels. Let me hear you thoughts. I feel like some of you might hate this idea haha.
  8. Great video. I think this can go well with Leo’s zen devil video where he talks about big and small nonduality.
  9. Do you guys think this is true? People do talk about it but I can’t find a clear answer. Where are some good sources on the topic? Psychedelics I would like to know about especially since I would love to experiment around with them, but I don’t want to fuck myself up.
  10. @Saumaya @erik8lrl Persona 5 is the best game I have ever played?
  11. Haha true that. Follow your intuition - that’s the path
  12. Haha yeah it’s just for fun. But it is accurate in some ways lol. Just don’t take it too seriously...
  13. ENFP- Ray 3 -Ray of Activity and Adaptability This is the ray of the abstract thinker, of the philosopher and the metaphysician. You have a highly developed imagination, and you can quickly visualize and understand and grasp the essence of truth. Your idealism will often be strong; You are a dreamer and a theorist, and from your wide views and great caution you usually see every side of a question equally clearly. However, this sometimes paralyses your action and you may make a lot of plans which you don't always carry out. You will make a good businessman, and can work out a problem in tactics at your desk. With sufficient willpower, you may also be great in the field. As an artist your technique may not be superfine, but your subjects will be full of thoughts and interest. You will love music, but unless influenced by the fourth ray you will be unlikely to produce it. In all walks of life you are full of ideas, and only need an extra push to carry it out. Definitley sounds like me. I want to start taking more action!
  14. @Leo Gura I'm in Nevada and might be moving to Los Angeles later this year so that'd be lit for me. I feel I could ask you questions all day so this would be great. Face to face interaction would be nice for answers on all my little nit picky edge case kinda questions. And you could definitely explain more in depth on a lot of topics.
  15. @Leo Gura is yours mastery stil personal development? Or has it changed into something like being a sage? What would be the difference between these two and how does one master being a sage?
  16. Like seriously so many people think that it doesn't work and it's a pseudoscience garbage scam. I read an article on Psychology Today where a psychology Ph.d destroyed it saying all of it doesn't work. There are traps with self help like not taking action, losing your ideals, and self criticism. You also have to research other fields if you want to do Personal development I feel like, not solely relying on self help theory. But I feel like these people who shame it are the people who aren't growing or living their life to the fullest. What do you all think? Sometimes I feel like I'm the only dreamer...
  17. @vibrate I think I really want to go into this PD/sage direction with LP so psychology would be good to back that up. I'm just afraid that if I don't go now I'll miss out on what I can learn here and I won't have the credentials I need to talk about psychology to others. But I just don't like it. I learn so much on my own. Same with not getting a college degree. I fear not having that status up behind me. Will not going really effect me all that much knowledge wise??
  18. @vibrate If I do stay it'll be another 7 semesters at the least. I'm a freshman done with first semester next week.
  19. I feel like what I learn in college though I could learn on my own. It is good stuff but life would be more beautiful without school I feel. I just don't like taking classes and being forced to do these things. I like to just self educate. This is where it is hard to decide because I don't want to make the wrong decision when dropping out.
  20. All of them if they are all important to your purpose. Also I don't know what your purpose is so how would I know? You find where is best to start just from looking over the books. Where do you want to go first?
  21. Still confused on this saying. I feel like in a way after growth like changing a limiting beleif you are closer to consciousness and totally just letting go but idk. Or maybe like if I got good with girls eventually I would just let that go completely and that's where the real growth would be internally. Not with me getting girls externally. And then there is enlightenment which I feel would grow you and cure a lot of neurosis but then people say that neurosis will remain. How does personal development=raising consciousness? Isn't consciousness different from self development in a lot of ways and how do they fully relate?
