This is a really great share, thank you very much!

@Arkandeus @username (I put username here accidentally) Well? that's an excellent question! The amount of time we have depends on how we define 'the conditions' and 'the reality'; also depends on where we are at our journey of Truth. In science, generally before the research starts, the related conditions are set; like linear time, atmospheric pressure and so on... I didn't put the definitions but I was referring to those as default...

@abgespaced How come 'who you really are' can oppose your higheri self? What does this mean?
-
@username That is the fundamental basis for any type of work, scientific or non-scientific. So right after that, we can get into the discussion. Breadth and depth: One way to identify how deep & how broad someone is gonna get on a defined subject can be the the urge and the intensity of the desire felt for it. Especially after certain amount of purification of the self; then it could be said, that's what intended (by Nature) to be accomplished through that mechanism. After -somehow- we identify the quantity of the depth and the breadth; now, the optimal balance: If we take a step back for simplification; an optimization will be the average point of the opposing edges. Here in this situation, (a trade-off between breadth and depth) one of the major governing variables is time frame. If we had infinite time, it wouldn't have been any problem to choose one or another. So, setting a layout from this perspective can allow us to see the idealistic picture humanly possible on the related context. (which in this case the layout turns out to be more the work of prioritizing) (also this opens some very different discussions like: if I find this topic this important, can I let go of my ego to know it all, do it all, achieve it all myself in my limited life time and setting the layers right and doing my share of it and then pass it to the next generations to come) Then on the other edge of the spectrum: if I had just 24 hours to give this content, what would have that been? (and also we can add here the animalistic nature of the self: what's the urgent need or desire of my ego -or hopefully of my purified self- to invest in this?) Now, we have two somehow opposing edges: two perspectives. From this point we can shoot for an average point which can lead us to an optimal balance of the situation. Of course all of those parts of the context went under investigation by disregarding the human capacity factor which is also one of the very important variables to produce the results and which is very unreliable especially about permanence. Whenever we want to consider anything related to balance or balancing act, it is very helpful to keep in mind that, it is also the principle of sequentiality; which relates to timing. But it is a totally different discussion topic.

Wow. That was really interesting.

@Shin Yeah guys, you would pick the 'insurance company' people up in that C-T city! and then become the most appreciated pick up'ers ever lived!?
-
@Shin I'm sorry to hear that.. I mean of course it's great that you've carried yourself in a different space.. take good care of yourself mon amie!??

Yes, of course. That's one of the direct accesses to know our-very-selves and grow. And also that's a very practical tool to non-duality; maybe a better way than meditation sometimes. And if we love only the things which are easy to love? Than what's our real input into love? The question is very well asked. At least we need to be willing to try. We might not be achieving the ideal result, but definitely we need to be on the path for it, for our own sake more than anything else. Otherwise how can we say we're on the path of wholeness?

@pluto@Tendani (pluto I accidentally put you here) I actually totally agree with this. I think, that's important to remember that, it's just a belief system at the end of the day. We choose what kind of meanings we're gonna attribute to the things; that's us deciding to conceptualize the life one way or another. But it's a good feeling when the labels and titles you gave, are somehow in a harmony with the essence you perceive from life.
-
@pluto so we evolve on our way, ha? That's a beautiful name.

@Annetta yeah, isn't it. Thank you very much

I love my name and I feel resonated with it a lot; because it means 'love' In Turkish there are two words for noun form of 'love': one is 'aşk' which is used to say like "to be in love" type of things, this one is used quite often in the language. 'sevi' means the love of God or the love for God. Which is not used so much in the daily language, but mostly used in Sufism. My late maternal grandfather was a mystic in Anatolia; he was a local writer and a poet. In Anatolia the mystics are called 'lovers' because they put their all life into find 'God' and to earn "God's love" and that very specific love is called: sevi. A well-known Sufi poet "Yunus Emre" is from my grandfather's hometown and his two lines are: "Ben gelmedim davi için Benim işim sevi için" Meaning: I didn't come (to the world) for (case or action or war) my whole purpose is only for love (kind of: to be love) This poem is very well known in that town. My grandfather had the chance to have two different visits from two different enlightened Sufis (though he died un-enlightened; but according to one of my dreams he has gotten it after his death, but I can not know for sure of course, at least -hopefully- not yet) So he is the one who gave me my name and I always feel so so so blessed because of my name, and my deepest heartfull wish is to be capable of living my life fulfilling it, as it meant to be...

@username that's a huge contribution, thanks for that! How are you gonna sort out the topics? Will you choose the ones which are interesting to you or do you have something else in your mind? I might say categorizing levels would be great, like in a collage, maybe like: For the very beginners: setting the foundation work & installing the fundamental habits Layering Spirituality & enlightenment Layering the topics on Mundane necessities .....or.... Categorising them from very concrete to abstract can be a good guidance too.. I don't know, I'm gonna think about it little bit more, now I've just written it as it came..

For those party settings, there is a Russian saying: there is no ugly woman, there is less vodka; And for those meditation retreats: there aren't lack of hot girls, there are lack of arrivals into the sahasrara.

Yeah, one of my favorite spirit animals... @Shin just not get any funnier, have more tantric sex with your girlfriend and let us know what's next Shin and you are asking as if there is ANY doubt about it!!?? Nice.

@Shin AHHAHHAHHAHAAH!!!!!! What about shutting your 'shin' up??!! SHIN!!!!!! Tu es méchant toi!!!!!!! MON DIEU! (mais oui, j'ai été)

@John Flores yeah, I've been having difficulties as well. Forum's major page is frozen in one date.

@Shin it reminded me King Solomon's ring: he asks for a reminder to carry with himself for all times and situations that he'll be in. Then his mentor brings him this ring to carry on which is written "this too shall pass"

@Shin alors, bonne chance monsieur, dans ce cas?
-
@jse yes, exactly. It never happened before though, that was.. surprising.

There is this park close to my house that I always go for a walk or meditate. And there is this very old tree at the very edge of it; I meditate under it. This has been 3-4 years... yesterday I meditated under it, actually for long, it was dark and no-one was in the park. Today I went there again.. this time it was not that late; just in front of the stone I always sit, I found this cut head of a little bunny and some of its giblets... a brown one. its body wasn't around. Probably it was not that much time ago it was cut because there were no bugs or stuff in its eyes... its eyes were bright open and was looking as if it is alive.. and there wasn't any little expression of horror in those eyes.. even happy-ish looking.. I couldn't bury it, I just put it under a big branch which was very close to ground; I stayed with it for a while then I left.. I didn't realize how much I was effected, now as I was about to sleep, it hit me hard. I have couple of interesting experiences with different animals during my outside meditations and also interestingly when an animal is about to die generally I come across with them and I stay with them through their transition.. it happens to me in kind of a regular basis, but this was ... I don't know... this one was weird.. feels.. weird, strange.

@bazera So then our question comes to: how to create (more) awareness. Of course it's what self-actualization is all about. But still we can narrow it down: 1) inside - out: (which you are already good at) self observation during the situations, interactions / journaling / mindfulness / meditation 2) outside - in: capacity to receive outside world: even if we know the issues so well, when others touch our egos it's not easy to take it; but that's such a good chance to transform ourselves for real. Willingness to take some punches and willingness to be appreciative to them. Willingness to interact basically and then to do the distinction work.
