@Yarco I would probably say do both at the same time because they're both going to take a long time (not medical advice).

TLDR: Started Andy Cutler heavy metal chelation protocol early 2021. So far I’ve completed 20 rounds with varying dosages of ALA/DMSA. Have had mixed results. Some periods of sustained improvement in mental health. Other periods of no obvious improvements. And some periods of worsening health. Hard to determine effectiveness due to also making many other nutritional and health related changes over the same period. But overall glad I tested the process. Will be continuing with rounds for some time. _______________ Intro So I thought I’d give a quick report on my experience with chelating over the past year or so for anyone interested. If you’ve not familiar, chelating is a method of heavy metal detoxification (with a particular focus on mercury). It involves taking the supplements ALA and DMSA in regular intervals over a 72 hour period. That counts as 1 ‘round’. You can do dozens or even hundreds of rounds depending on the severity of toxicity in the body. The main reason I started the process was because I had 3 amalgam fillings (which contain mercury) in my teeth for many years and have experienced a range of mental and physical issues that were a possible symptom of the mercury amalgam fillings. Ultimately this was a long, somewhat expensive and still on going test to see if I can improve my health. I had my amalgams removed early 2021 partly because I didn’t want to have mercury in my mouth for the rest of my life. But also because in order to start chelating it is absolutely essential that all the amalgam fillings and all remaining ‘specks’ i.e. tiny small bits of amalgam in your teeth, are removed. If you are considering following this protocol it is absolutely imperative that you follow the correct instructions and guidelines laid out here: https://andy-cutler-chelation.com/#THE_CHELATION_PROCEDURE_-_AFTER_DENTAL_REVISION Amalgam fillings must also be removed by specialist SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) dentists. Good database of SMART dentists here: https://iaomt.org/member-listings-smart-member/?fbclid=IwAR01P3GcVICFCBnE0IrBbMrJ0me3Sg2ebV4ZR13Coudd0_47wal5ObVIZV4 Rounds/Dosages I’ve currently done 20 rounds with quite a detailed log of all my rounds, dosages, dates, and symptoms on round. Started out with just DMSA for a few rounds, then moved onto DMSA and ALA together. Started with very low ALA dosages of 1-2mg and slowly worked my way up as per the recommendations in the above link. The most recent 3 rounds have been 25mg DMSA and 12.5mg ALA. I seem to be handling it fine with no significant side effects so I’ll be going up to 25m DMSA and 25mg ALA soon. On round I have also always taken the recommended additional supplements like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin B, Zinc, Magnesium. However Zinc makes me nauseous so I don’t take it as often as recommended. I should also mention I had a couple rounds where I messed up the night doses, and either woke up and forgot to take the supplements or just slept through my alarm. I’ve refined my setup now so I actually have 3 alarms! And my phone is plugged into a set of speakers so its basically impossible to miss the night doses. The doses are positioned slightly away from my bed so I have to physically move up right to get the dose. And I also only have two doses in the box so I don’t get confused in the middle of the night. Experience To sum up the experience I have had periods where I saw significant alleviation in my anxiety and improvement in mental performance to the point where it was nearly undeniable that the chelating was working. By mental performance I mean reductions in brain fog, quicker access to memory, and more creative thinking. But I also experienced periods of the complete opposite, where the chelating didn’t seem to feel like it was doing anything at all to improve my health. I could have possibly entered into the ‘dump’ phase around 1 or 2 months after starting which is commonly talked about but I don’t know for sure. I’ve had a number of mild negative symptoms on rounds like irritability, spaced out feelings, lack of focus, tiredness etc. However these could easily have been a symptom of other things, so again it's hard to diagnose these. But some of these certainly came about on round and went away a day after I had finished the round, so in some cases it was clear that the ALA and DMSA supplements where the cause. I also consistently experienced extremely intense and vivid dreams on round. Without fail every time. These don’t really affect me too much in a negative sense, but its definitely a relief when I finish the round and go back to dreamless sleeping. One really interesting effect is on meditation. I consistently, again without fail, see an improvement in my ‘meditation ability’. My morning meditations feel much more ‘deeper’ and more powerful. And its not subtle, its very obvious that this is occurring every time I’m on round. I could probably say the chelation has improved my mental abilities, memory recollection, more clarity, less brain fog etc by a small amount, but its honestly hard to quantify it and the changes than I’ve seen in these areas over the past 10 months could be due to changes in my diet or something else entirely. So I can’t say definitively that it's a result of the chelation. Its also hard to think back 12 months and remember what my brain function was like and how it compares to now. But, on reflection, I don’t feel like I’m struggling with my mental performance these days. Where as a year ago I know I was really struggling. I will be continuing with doing more rounds because I want to increase the dose of ALA quite a bit more and see what effect that will have. Hope this was informative and helps anyone else interested in giving it a go.

No it's not only for those who have had mercury fillings. As far as I understand Leo hasn't ever had amalgam fillings and he did a lot of chelating. And many other people too.

@Psych2Awak3n Yes I used to have a similar problem with blushing. I'd go on the London tube, sit down, and randomly start blushing even if I didn't look or talk to anyone. I'd blush when family members came over to visit. I'd even blush in front of friends. It was not a fun experience so I empathise with your challenges. Over a few years I gradually just grew out of it. I don't blush at all now. I think it largely stemmed from a lack of social confidence and general social anxiety. The older i've got, i've become more mature, confident and self assured and this kinda cured the blushing. I feel more comfortable being in social situations. But, in the short term, definitely try to change your perspective on the blushing in the moment it arises. Really try to be more equanimous and not let it bother you. Don't ignore it, recognise it in a calm grounded way and allow it be without adding or reacting to the feelings/sensations. Have a sort of relaxed attitude of "oh i'm blushing again, interesting". Hope this helps.

@Javfly33 Been listening to this over the past few days. Jon gets it -
It's not just about sex. Actually very little. It's more about the significant personal transformation that occurs when a man does a lot of serious cold approach and socialising. A part of that man dies and a newer, stronger more masculine individual is created. It's almost like a right of passage into manhood if taken seriously. The sex is a small by-product of the process. Most guys are just happy to get a bit of attention and validation from a female.
-
What are your thoughts on the process of actually improving/getting better. Is it largely just a matter of doing the reps and learning through trial and error? Do you reflect on/evaluate your interactions the next day/same day? Do you/have you ever worked on very specific things for a whole night? Do you ever get feedback from other guys?
-
I thought it was a great episode. Very grounded, practical and covered a lot of the important fundamentals. This kind of information is absolutely essential for guys to understand and put into practise. There really aren't many men telling other young men to go out and talk to shit tons of women and be more social. The only other guys saying this are the RSD guys (who don't even talk about it anymore) and then the small number of pickup related youtube channels. There does seem to be a real lack of quality education for men on how to properly socialise. Most men on social media are just bitching and complaining about women. The trouble is that there is still a big taboo against talking about this kind of stuff. Most people don't make the distinction between weird pickup tactics and then talking/approaching girls in a socially calibrated way. Even my close male friends don't really get it.

Yea i've seen a lot of people on the FB group getting their children to chelate so its perfectly fine for a 23 year old to do it. There isn't really a recommended age to start. Although the earlier the better. My advice is, if you have mercury amalgams in your mouth, get them removed by a registered SMART dentist. Then its up to you whether you start chelation. You might want to get a toxicity test done after that and get it reviewed by the members on the FB group.

@Breakingthewall Your welcome. Sounds like you're doing a load of research which is great

DMSA doesn't cross the brain barrier but it could still cause side effects if you take too much. And people react differently to DMSA so the default recommendation is to go slow and steady and start with low doses. ALA must be taken every 3 hours if you're consuming ALA. Has something to do with the half life of the substance. More info in the links in my original post. The chelator cannot extract mercury from a tooth filling. Can cause symptoms to worsen if you still have even a speck of amalgam in the tooth. Taking ALA daily can have significant negative impact on your liver and other organs, as far as I understand. And it won't work as a chelator if you take it every 8 hours. DMSA is also a chelator but it can also help to dampen the potential side effects of taking ALA.

Take a look for yourself. Thats for you to become conscious of, not for someone else to tell you. No answer given here will be what a thing is. -

Well yes, anything you are not directly perceiving is being imagined. Thyroid, eyes and ears are imagined. Reminds me of the 'On Having No Head' image. -
Theres kinda no way around just forcing yourself to do it. I started out really indirectly and just built up from there. But ultimately there comes a point where you just need to approach a girl in a direct way and start a conversation. Just be willing to feel awkward and nervous. Every guy feels the same way. It's totally normal and ok. You'll find the barrier of approach anxiety is actually extremely thin. I'm always shocked at how quickly I get over approach anxiety. Turns out the approach is the easiest part. The real challenge comes with having a quality conversation.

@Gabith The gaze of a conscious woman is hypnotising. -
Yea its very hard to quantify my results to be honest. But I like doing these kind of self-experiments and I don't feel it has negatively impacted my health in any way. Only thing it impacted was my bank balance. Worth the money to get the amalgams removed by a private specialist dentist as well. If you're interested in reading more reports and getting a good feel for the protocol theres a great Facebook group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/153239041441176/?hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen&multi_permalinks=4289616477803391

I haven't done any psychedelics since starting the detox. I am already quite sensitive to psychedelics after my 5-MeO awakenings last year but it will be interesting to see if anything is different. Interesting. What was the highest dosage you ended up doing? Yes, exactly. As you say it's hard to remember how you felt a year ago. Same thing for spiritual work. Hard to comprehend where I was 4,5 years ago.

I've actually heard a lot of great things about Barcelona, both for day game purposes and just generally. So i'll definitely be going, just unlikely to move there right now. I've been on a bunch of dates with Spanish girls. I feel like they're much more forward and know exactly what they want. Two of them asked me out! Love Spanish girls! In all fairness i've never been so I don't know. But definitely sounds like theres potential. Yes I know exactly what you mean about doing day-game in the rain. Theres still a shit ton of guys doing day-game/night game in London.
-
Whats the best strategy for being more serious about day-game if you don't live in a big city? I moved out of London a few months ago because I couldn't afford to live there. I attended a day-game bootcamp around this time last year whilst I was there. Literally one of the best things I ever did. But didn't keep it up so now i'm out of practise and out of London. I've got a nice foundation though so I know I can pick it up again. The town I live in now is dead (but cheap), there are literally no girls (late twenties) here. I've just got to get this shit sorted. Something has to change. So whats the best solution here? Some possible options: 1) Move back to London for 6-12 months. Would either have to solo rent a place on the outskirts (£800-£1000 p/month rent) or rent a room in a house share (£600-£800 p/month). 2) Rent a fairly central London Airbnb for a few months (£1000 p/month) and go as hard as I can in that time. 3) Get the train (70 minute journey) down to London (£40/$55 return ticket) either every weekend or every other weekend. Spend Saturday/Sunday doing day-game. Downside is that I can't then go on mid-week dates. Girls obviously aren't going to travel out of London. 4) Do day-game in a closer city called Nottingham. Can drive there in 35 minutes. Great city but quality and quantity of girls doesn't compete with London. 5) Move abroad to a different European city where rent is cheaper. I work from home so this is a possibility but definitely a last resort. 6) A different strategy I haven't thought of. I'd appreciate your advice @Leo Gura and @aurum, and anyone else ofc.
-
@Leo Gura @aurum Yea all makes sense, thanks for the feedback. It's just not going to be feasible whilst living in this small town away from the city. Looks like i'm heading back to London! @Flint Weird you say that because i'm actually planning a trip to Lisbon early next year and considered moving there for a few months in the summer. But I doubt it compares to London for day-game.

I've only done 2 mushroom trips so I don't have too much to say. But mushrooms feel more stable and 'smoother' than LSD. I go through a 'insane period' on LSD every time. Starts around an hour in and lasts for 3-4 hours. Then suddenly within a second or two everything sort of reverts back to normal. Don't get this on mushrooms. -
Space replied to Godishere's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Going to be different for each person. But speaking from experience they don't really compare. My LSD trips were long descends into complete madness and insanity mixed in with a near total ego death. Theres a distinct lack of clarity and generally unproductive sessions. I have strange, weird distracting thoughts and images and easily get lost in thought loops. And the trips are just so fucking long as well. Compare to high dose 5-MeO, which I don't consider to be a conventional psychedelic because it simply doesn't compare to a casual mushroom trip. Its a whole completely different thing. Its not psychedelic. The idea of a psychedelic 'causing' this 'experience' is ridiculous. There is near perfect clarity, like perfect crystal clear water with a subtle multicoloured shimmer of fractal light around the edges fading of into infinity. There is no muddiness to the experience, except for some nausea in the come up. No extra 'stuff'. No visual hallucinations or thought loops or strange thinking patterns. Its just completely 100% pure Enlightenment. No bullshit. You're just THERE. BANG! Actual Infinity looking at itself. Actual Eternity existing forever. Actual God and nothing but that. And 5-MeO has a very profound embodiment component/capability that I don't see any other psychedelic having. The substance is equally 'body' as it is 'cerebral', at least for me. It can definitely have a permanent affect on ones consciousness and has the ability to release deep contractions and tensions in the body. Its deeply healing. Its like the perfect package. And it lasts for an hour and then you're back to a normal state of consciousness and you can go about your day. -
Potentially, but it didn't feel like sleep deprivation. I've never felt tired because of needing to wake up in the night.
