General 2 replied to Bill W's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Moon i believe Neville itself is not referring to an emotion, but feeling it real. when you already have what you want, you don't necessarily feel overexcited, just calm and relaxed, and even bored or annoyed. say if you own your dream car, there's a chance you can get anxious because of insurance/fear that someone can crash into it accidentally etc. but at the same time, you know that it is your car = feel owning it b/c it's a fact. no it had been a perpetual feeling, i think what really had manifested back then, my focus on the end result and feeling it real for a few short moments, not acting as if, which per my understanding, means continuous pretending that you have the thing you desire... -

@Moon how do you interpret the "feeling"? feeling it real or experiencing emotion? asking b/c i've been studying Neville and manifestation for a while...many imply that emotions aren't necessary to manifest...even myself, i had a few major things come to me when i was in the shittiest mood... however i'm still not sure about feeling it real, as it's happening right now. some say you have to (referring to changing a state), some say you don't, from my experience, i had to feel it in one way or another before the thing coming true. but if we've been manifesting our entire life, do we actually bother to feel it real every time? don't think so... -

Neville comes out of a different premise than Law of Attraction. the latter implies there's an outside force that is delivering your desires, all you have to do is to match the "vibration". whereas Neville states that the God powers are within you and in order for the desire to come true, we need to impress our subconscious with an end goal, and your being through a bridge of incidents will shift to that new reality. kind of there's infinite realities in existence, and you shift to the one where your desire is true, by activating that reality/dimension with your imagination (as opposed to attracting the thing by emitting waves or whatever). -

yes this is what I have been thinking about lately. i think no level of justification is applicable when oneself is got to experience things like these. also incarnating into some plant and being a tree for 100+ years (instead of fulfilling human desires which remained unfulfilled in the previous life) is frightening -
this is a great book, but 100% work of ego "social intelligence" as they call it

is it worth reading? looks very promising but not included into Leo's list of dealing with people reading material...

i live with my sister in a single bed apartment, and i have a very little space to live up to my own agenda, as you can probably imagine, since we are very different in lifestyles and this is her place after all. i've been longing to live alone for a very long time, and today i went hunting for apartments. i want freely meditate (without questioning on whenever i joined some religious organization), to read in a comfortable position (not at the kitchen table while she's busy with her stuff), rest well to have more energy on the things that my life can benefit from, just be happy introverting on my own etc etc however here, rent is damn expensive...up to half of my salary (utilities included + having to buy stuff like ironing table and electric kettle lol)...and you only get some crampy or old-fashioned place for this much. and i had this thought today, i could spend this money on more books, more healthy food, more self care which as well contribute to my self-actualizing intention...i push myself into thinking that i somehow can balance self-actualization whilst living in my current place (which makes me sad knowing that it is not that easy) + having to spend so much money invokes a deep sense of embarrassment and regret within me. many self help gurus advocate for saving money - Brian Tracy, Seth Godin in his Linchpin - but i feel like i'm missing out on something big by the decision not to spend money on my own place...and i have yet no plans of exchanging my job for a more paid one. i honestly don't know what to do...what would you do facing the same dilemma?
-
@Sucuk Ekmek sure she is, my point is not in badmouthing her...rather convincing myself to drop regrets about money to be spent @ajasatya thanks for the advice, i feel more hopeful now
-
@ivory yes you do have a point, having to rent an apartment also can be seen as a challenge though...and choosing to stay with her as giving up the challenge of living on my own terms? @creede i periodically exercise writing the things i want...but to me this topic is way too mundane, there's nothing magical about looking for an apartment, just requires some activity, so i better preserve energy for something bigger... @ajasatya i don't blame her...she's very kind to let me live with her to begin with...but having a personal space is so important to me. what would you choose in this situation?...
-
thank you all for your replies @ivory she's an older sister so she keeps patronizing me, of course if this would be a more distant person that would be better, i always have this feeling of being observed and judged... @creede that area i was looking in, a typical concrete jungle on the city outskirts...but your comment made me happier! yesterday it was hard to imagine a magical outcome though. even that little room seemed luxurious for what i can afford without sense of guilt @Sahil Pandit the only major con is having to spend money. and maybe i'm too optimistic about my spiritual journey which i'd like to pursue this way...maybe i will end up in an emotional turmoil facing myself all alone, and having someone around would be good for not reaching a psychological meltdown...and paying for this a lot of money lol

just listened to Leo's "Cave and Cosmos" book review where he mentioned his intention to make a video on shamanism! looking forward to it
-
this book has nothing to do with self-development but I did have a mystical experience while reading it i think it will be interesting for those who are interested in spiritual entities and rituals and all this kind of stuff

Leo says death = love. meaning we end up in heaven after death. but where then the concept of hell came from? -

Leo has also mentioned that you've got to choose whom you will become in a new life... who would deliberately choose to become a serial killer's victim?? and i would imagine multiple people wanting to become a superstar, but there's limited number of superstars out there at all times... -

@Salvijus speaking of it, today is full moon -
this happened to me a couple of times during sleep, a feeling of some force pulling me out of my body. i blame it on a sleep position, because it occured when i was sleeping on my stomach with my head twisted (could be some poor blood flow or something). however, today i've also had the sensation of tingling in my shoulder blades while experiencing this "swinging" feeling of myself being about to leave my body in my sleep. there's an Emerald's video on sleep paralysis where she talks about having a sensation of tingling in her armpits before having an out of body experience... i thought if there any correlation between the two, or this was something else? or just poor position while sleeping...i wonder if someone has any comment or had the same sensation?

@YaMayka it was more like shoulders or arms... i just remembered in previous times there was also a feeling of deep pressure on my spine... -
@Alfie i would be infinitely grateful if i discovered someone like Leo and his work at 16! from my point of view, you should go for a book list, can't tell anything about LP course since i haven't yet participated... you should probably try to avoid some really mind-f-ing stuff from this list though, since your psyche is still sensitive, start with some social skills and business oriented books...these will never hurt anybody (and i believe free versions of these books are easier to find) but help you understand society and how it works, which is useful at any age.
-
@Brayanwangulo you will need to develop social skills along with professional (social skills => knowing people => new connections), show up more often (try more auditions, and partying not with your friends but on the occasions inside the industry). 2 good advices has already been said - study famous actors' careers (which doesn't ofc mean that you're going to repeat that even doing the same stuff, at least you will know that they wasn't lucky and successful all the time) + start youtube channel (this will improve your presentable skills for sure). p.s. i think not mastering your profession for the sake of self-actualization is sort of an excuse...

@Leo Gura thank you for your reply Leo! would appreciate if you could cover the topic of a "hard work hygiene" in a future video i believe this is an important component which cannot be overlooked, both from physical and psychological sides hard work applied irrationally may cause the opposite, corrupting effect
-
question to Leo... you say you have to put hours of hard work for 10-15 years...i worked hard for an year for what i was thought was my passion, and ended up hating it! moreover, gained a somatic disorder like being dizzy and apathetic all the time and hating just the idea of getting to work on something... how do i make a break through when my body reacts like that?? i want to do something valuable with my life but afraid to drive myself to the point when i'm not able to move on
