Football: Fake Purpose/Journey (winning the trophies!!) - Check Identifying with Country or Club - Check Winning or losing vs opponents - Check Bragging rights - Check Entertainment - Check Social - Check Skill and ability (profession) - Check Utterly useless and meaningless to your life? - Check. But hey its better than war and religion in a way, at least people identifying with a sports club doesnt mean the death of many just football games. Football is like a soft religion to get out all that shit we been doing for centuries. -
That's all well and good but the whole way our society works right now is very cut throat and orange. It's go to school, learn something, work, preferable for the lowest income possible, and top of that out compete and perform better than other ppl. If you look carefully they trying to force you into wage slavery. They don't even want to pay minimum or low wages, they prefer to take their call centres, production, and outsource everything to countries like india and china for $3 a day sweat shops.

I liked Sam a bit more after this video: At least it's something...

I've disliked him in the past from what little i saw of him. He was hosting on big brother, seemed like a total d**khead, i think he went round saying how he banged thousands's of women, I think he even did a prank phone call to someone famous's dad to tell them how he banged their daughter (unless im confusing him with someone else). He can be into spirituality now and wise but I disagree with @Leo Gura I don't think he's a great role model to look up to but if can learn something then steal the wisdom. edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Russell_Brand_Show_prank_telephone_calls_row

It takes time when I first started all I had was mental noises and ranting. These days I can actually get into blissfulness and shut off the mind quite easily whilst meditating. Of course if someonthing bad happens during the day and you're extremely unhappy about it then you will just get mental noises so try to keep your days peaceful as much as you can, e.g. try not to argue with anyone or get into fights etc. -
Well then my review would look like: "You can get rid of 95% of the bad content and it will be a greatly improved book." 1/5 stars. There are some gems in here, especially some good video links I missed elsewhere.

the wet toilet paper seems to work better than everything else! it molds so well and and water inside the fiber blocks all the sounds completely, only problem is you don't want to get water dripping inside your ear -

If you dont want to make an expensive invest i'd just use good ear plugs or even wet toilet paper squeezed and molded into your ear. works great paired witha an elastic neck/face band for blindfold and then any cheap big headphones over that. You'll be pretty much blind in complete darkness and deaf too! -

If by god head you mean beyond the mind and all thinking, like a samahdi state, yeah you can't stay there forever whilst you have a human form, in fact it's recommeneded not to cling onto that state either. But you can be constantly present, like most gurus, Echhart Tolle, Sadhguru, etc. You can be grounded in the nothingness/emptiness/stillness as the foundation of all things, before you see maya playing very consistently, At that point you're both the emptiness that never changes, and all the activity present that is always changing. -

I agree. The hardest part about enligthenment is always maintaining that state. Falling into unconsciousness is too easy, either you gradually need to rewire your brain to always be at high presence or something needs to click in your brain like a switch that just brings constant presence into your life. Enlightenment is easy, but I only consider it "real enligthenment" when you are always at that level. If someone loses it easily and gets into drama as soon as someone pisses in their soup that's not "enligthenment", that some weak sauce enligthenment that you get when everything is going your way and you meditate in some peaceful place. If someone is always fully selfless not identified with the body and mind, and does not fear death because they are in presence with their higher nature at all times, then I consider them fully enligthened. One cannot argue with reality when they realise to be reality. -

I don't know how one can be "enlightened" when one is unconscious. Ask yourself would your "higher self" or "ideal version" of you be spending time arguing on forums consistently, everyday, nearly every thread? If you answer yes then I suggest you come up with a better ideal version of yourself and not settle for something so petty. If you answer no, then you're unconcious and at this moment not run by the higher self but the ego mind of ranting, explaining, justifying, counter-aruging, all the things that the ego thrives and ends up controlling the moment. It's ok to have 1 bad day off and go on a rant, but seriously the same people doing it all the time, that is a mental illness, you're addicted to arguing. Neuroplasticity, repeat something enough times you'll get addicted to it, making it a habit. -

God does all the work, ego takes all the credit!

I know most of you know about these movies but seriously, everyone needs to watch them! EVERYONE! They are very concise, packed with very good information and provide the best inspiration for spiritual journey (as far as my opinion goes). They are also very easy to understand, beautiful and entertaining, and all for FREE! I recommend watching them in the order I put them. 1 - Samahdi Movie: 2 - Inner Worlds Outer Worlds. 3 - Guided Meditation sessions.

I'm feeling it.

Holy crap that thumbnail quote is has so much wisdom. He basically means, Be disciplined (behave) and Be silent, (like a shoe in the mouth), and you will know God (Allah). Just some ****ing Rumi level right there.

Ah ok, that makes sense, I started to assume you were not interested in any of it. Fair enough. -

I find this statement bizarre. This is like joining a book club and saying, I'm not going to read the book you guys are reading, in fact I don't read at all, but I'm just here to chit chat about other things. Do you read / watch from other resources? which? -

I think the teaching was that if you can stay utterly calm and peaceful in that game you have attained enlightenment -

Sorry that video was long. The spiral pattern has very big importance because its the most common pattern of nature. They call it the spiral of life. Also like a tornado things move around it but at the center it is completely still, kind of resembling maya and emptiness. Why is the galaxy a spiral? why is the Dna structure a spiral? why is the golden ratio so pleasant in art? etc shorter video: -
