  1. @MochaSlap Its actually very simple, your perception, beliefs, all of the conceptual activities that occur in what we call the mind, not only influence your perception of reality but also create it! What most humans don't see is that we are mechanical creatures that run on the principle of survival, and this influences how we experience and perceive. Because we only perceive "from" what runs us rather than what runs us, this creates a breading ground for illusion. Consciousness work is about getting deep into what is actually true. A central part/aspect of this work is what can be called enlightenment, where one discoveres the true nature of being. The true nature of you and everything else. From this it has the effect of openess & not knowing providing the possibility of a investigation into anything from what is emotion, existence, other, self, ect through what can be called "direct consciousness" which is a real possibility that most of humanity are not aware of. That's the gist of this work.
  2. @Memeito that sounds like it would be interesting to experience.
  3. I won't go into too much detail. But if you guys are looking to really take your meditation to the next level, doing it while blindfolded is a good idea. I recommend you try it at least once. I just tryed it for the first time. I got the idea from looking at a dark room retreat. And thought why not see what its like to sit with pitch blackness. So I got a black top I have, tied it round my head completely covering the eyes. Pitch black! Worked pretty well. From this it was much easier to isolate the sense of self that is experienced in the mind. And see like aha! That's what the self is taken to be! There's the distinction of self. All thought. And I watch it. Let it do what ever it wants knowing that's not what I am. It comes & goes and when the images/voice/feelings that create the sense of self are not, I still Am. They need me to exist but I don't need them to exist because I Am regardless. This is the type of way to see it. You will also notice the "Self" then perceives the body sensations and claims ownership of them. That's my feet, that's my shoulders ect. But that's all illusory as well, so look past that and just "be" the body instead of the self perceiving the body then claiming ownership. After a while you will start to feel a sense of openness & expansion and go from there really. Have a enlightenment experience, its really not hard, you already are what you seek so.... Chop chop, I double dare ya!
  4. @Dodoster Oh you live in London do ya? I m pretty close to you I live in east Sussex area. Its funny that weed makes you do that, its funny how it effects so many people differently. It differently has helped.raise my consciousness, have insights, and help still the mind permanently. Some people have the total opposite effect.
  5. @Dodoster Thats true everything is magical when you are a kid! You can get back too that with non duality.
  6. @Loreena I like your picture its chuckle worthy
  7. @Dodoster I have never thought of that!! (Stretching)Thankyou!! Thats a great idea! I will try that later before meditation.
  8. @Dodoster How long have you been meditating for now? Do you have a set routine for it or do it more spontaneously? Another tip I heard from osho is meditate when you first wake up because you are closest to your center when you first wake up, and also it will help you bring your meditative state into your day ( if your still stressed out during work?) Another great thing to do when your laying down to meditate pretend your dead, and really try and make it as authentic as possible. Like when ramana Maharashi had his huge enlightenment. I haven't heard of m. Sealey I will have to check them out.
  9. @Dodoster Haha That's what yourself will do, it doesn't want to die and when you have a deep experience of the void it will be a kind of death for the self, but thats okay. You can't die. Because we don't exist as a thing and only things die. I laid on my bed with the blindfold yesterday for about two hours. The whole time over and over again trying to relax the body more & more. You can always relax the body more. And if you try it the body will unconsciously tense up again and again. You will notice this. The more relaxed and still your body is the more expandedness you will feel. A sense of openness. Don't worry about sitting in a meditation position all the time, sometimes its good just to lay down and be extremely comfortable & relaxed. This can yield great results and its enjoyable.
  10. @pluto @pluto Those are some hauntingly beautiful words there Pluto.
  11. @Dodoster Haha its funny you said that because I did have headphones in my ears when I did it for the second time as well. Its a great meditation. Try it out!
  12. 1-I-Am-That-Nisargadatta-Maharaj-Resumo.pdf Don't pay no attention to what others are doing, focus on yourself only. Read this. I Am That. Get enlightened, simple! Terrence McKenna ~ quote
  13. The Term Dao was coined by lao zu. No one knows really who lao zu was. All he left was the Dao de jing or Tao te ching. The eternal Dao, the endless ocean. This was clearly embodied by the Master lao zu. He was a very rare human being. There will only be a handful who truely go deep into the great Dao. Because it seems almost terrifying to your human self. Who likes to stay in its comfort zone. The more you go into it the deeper it goes. A silent realm of non being. A deep dark infinity. Doesn't a little part of yourself shake in its boots when you here that? This is why lao zu was rare. You know that your world will never be the same. you are not separate from the great dao. The dao is a endless ocean and yourself is a wave. Let go of your little wave identity and be the infinite ocean. The distinction of the wave is only a distinction, it still doesn't deny that the wave is a aspect of the whole sea. Just as yourself is a distinction it doesn't separate you from the rest of what you are. The dao is none other than yourself. Don't be afraid. You can be the next one to surrender to the dao.
  14. @Valentin You had a awakening experience there. When it first happens yourself is so shocked & there are so many questions and your normal state of ego consciousness comes back in. Now you have to go further you not done by a long shot. You have to keep going intill you abide in a non dual awareness permanently. This may take countless enlightenments and a deep enquiry into your true nature.
  15. @Dodoster Let's clear some things up, the true nature of yourself and everything else is nothingness. It is that which doesn't die. It is silent. Without quality. Immortal. Because it is the only thing that exist it has nothing to limit it. So it is infinitely intelligent, and creative. So if your nothing what do you do you create a "experience" or being something its genuis. So you have your avatar that you currently inhabit. You need to be a player in order to play in the game. Your so hooked on negative & positive. And pecieve & relate everything to your survival and self. In till you have a deep enough enlightenment yourself may have many confusions and questions. They are all distractions from being. because the answers you seek come from a deeper reality that won't be found here.
  16. I haven't researched paranormal Activity Yet, it is something I am interested in finding more information on. After going deep into enlightenment it opens you up for more investigation into areas were you might of been more close minded. And for most of my life have always thought it was bullshit, like ghost & demons & exorcisms ect. Have any of you out there done any research at all that you could share or even a personal experience with this kind of stuff. It is something I will be researching at some point in the future, if any of you have any recommendations for books, websites ect to check out. And also does anyone know anything about this sort of stuff when it comes to enlightenment & meditation, is it more likely to happen? For example after years of meditation?? Let me know
  17. It seems to be the case that enlightenment is a rare phenomenon. Every generation only a handful of human beings find what's already here. Because of its simplicity many miss it expecting something else. If you are to abide in your Self, then a good "place" to start is the I Am. The I am is the sense of being. Its always here. If you stay in the I Am consistently, your chances of living in truth is more possible. Again its so simple that most will handwave it away. But do not underestimate "I AM" In the I am you will become conscious you are the "witness". When people say they are having trouble with thoughts its because they haven't fully drank that they are the witness. "Witness" does not care about thoughts. Thoughts are irrelevant to the witness. Thoughts only have significants to one who is getting entangled in thought. Giving it power! Giving it food! Giving it identity. So when I here people say that "thoughts are getting too strong" all that shows is the witness is still being tricked in some way! There's still some attachment. Because the only one that has trouble with thoughts, is the thought " thoughts are to strong" When one has stayed in the I am, along with there moment by moment enquiry, & ruthless honesty. The Image of the human form will appear less and less. Intill your sense of self "Image" will disappear! The distinction of inside & outside will fade. As the beliefs and pull of delusion gradually falls away. One will know with 100% certainty They witness and are not anything in the screen of consciousness. And yet the witness & screen of consciousness & all phenomena on the screen of consciousness are not separate. The thoughts will come up with all kinds of objections because its a paradox and thoughts get confused. When these types of confusion appear only observe and stay in the I Am. This is the key. With a deep enough enlightenment these confusions will fall away by themselves. No matter what thoughts come, no matter what emotions come, STAY IN THE I AM! The I am sense springs from being, being springs from non being. Non being is the true nature of everything. It is informationless. Without any quality. It is the only that doesn't come or go. After enough time of staying in the I am, the mind will become still, intill there is only pure silence. Stay in the still silents long enough and all will become clear. You are then more receptive and able to abide "as the absolute" consciously. Notice I said abide "AS the absolute" not IN the absolute. The Absolute is beginningless & endless. Enjoy.
  18. @SOUL When I say enlightenment I mean true enlightenment. Deep deep enlightenment. That is rare from what I can tell. I could be wrong because quite frankly how would I know. All the folks down your street could be abiding as the self and I am non the wiser! But yeah I mean a abiding, deep, true enlightenment. Its sounds like you are describing a moment of presents when the "observer image" dissapears for a moment. True enlightenment is profound!
