  1. When a person becomes spiritual, they also become more honest. Sometimes others find their honesty offensive. Suffering and pollution exist because humanity has fallen from the state of "Sat-Chit-Ananda" (Absolute-Consciousness-Bliss). The only way to stop it, is if everyone was enlightened. If everyone was enlightened the game would be over. God has set up the game in a way that most people don't know they are God. If they knew it would defeat the purpose of God pretending to be them, wouldn't it?
  2. I'm not sure if that's entirely true. Many ancient cultures had great societies where everyone was taken care of well. Everything else you said is 100% correct. Yes, once the kundalini rises fully, it doesn't go down below the throat level. Then you're safe. lol
  3. Today I want to talk about some misconceptions about enlightenment. I might be wrong so I don't want to say I know everything. These are some observations I made while reading people's comments and doing my own research. Don't follow me blindly go by what you think is right for you. Let's get started. 1. Enlightenment is just a paradigm shift. Wrong! If that was true a lot more people would be enlightened. It's not possible to think your way into enlightenment. 2. Enlightenment is realizing your being in the present. Wrong, because a lot more people would be enlightened if that was true. 3. We have to remove all of our beliefs and attachment to concepts before enlightenment. Wrong! The beliefs go away after enlightenment. You can't force yourself to stop believing or attaching to concepts. That goes away with the ego. 4. We can do whatever we want, and enlightenment will still happen. Wrong! Some behaviors speed up the process to ego death and others keep you trapped in the dream state. You can try to do whatever you want but don't be surprised if you remain in lala land. 5. We have to remove the ego right away. Wrong! The ego has to be fully embraced not shunned. That kind of thinking creates self-hatred, which takes you away from enlightenment. It's also necessary to have an ego to deal with the world. Just because someone like Leo says 'ego is bad' doesn't mean you have to listen to him. How does enlightenment actually happen? Behavior > ego-death >enlightenment What kind of behavior? Behavior that causes spiritual purification and renunciation. The behaviors are listed by Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras. I'm not going to list all of them here, but they can be found at sacred-texts.com. If a person doesn't practice them beforehand, they won't succeed in meditation. Most people who meditate are just daydreaming, not experiencing God. After enlightenment, a person can do whatever they want because there is no resistance. I mentioned the above misconceptions because they don't produce ego death. Either someone has an ego or they don't. You can't be enlightened and have an ego at the same time. It's just that simple! Ramana Maharshi said the ego only dies during nirvikalpa samadhi. That's why I think all the modern spiritual teachers are bullshitters. Many of them do whatever they want to. I don't believe their ego is gone. I agree with what this man says: Again you can do whatever you want, but I think enlightenment only happens through rigorous disciplines. I think only small percentage of people should strive for enlightenment. Most people should focus on other things. Enlightenment is not for everyone and everyone can't be enlightened at the same time. I'm not striving for enlightenment either. Hope that helps!
  4. Even if you don't think of yourself as an ego, you still have an ego. You have to think about that but an enlightened person knows it. Not everyone is because it can be devastating to know your family and friends aren't really your family and friends. The world is not what it appears to be. Certain people's behavior lead to ego death faster but they are capable of handling it.
  5. @Amit God is the experiencer of the body, mind, ego, intellect, and universe; but it's separate from those things and unaffected by them. It's not a specific "thing", so you can never wrap your mind around it. Can it be experienced without psychedelics? Yes, absolutely! It can be done through various forms of spiritual yoga such as: Bhakti yoga, Karma yoga, Jnana yoga, and Raja yoga. Or through various Buddhist practices. You're already experiencing God right now, but it's at a lower level of intensity because your mind tells you that you're something other than God. Once the mind holds still you become aware that you were always God.
  6. @Joseph Maynor The voice is God. The mind is God. Everything is an extension of God.
  7. @nahtanoj It was the wrong time and place to discuss such topics. He should join our forum.
  8. @Consept Okay I'll elaborate why I think racism exists. 1. Racists are identified with the body, mind, intellect, and ego. They can't rise above that, unless they have a spiritual experience. If you go up to a racist and tell them they are God and so is everyone else, would they believe you? 2. Some people have recently reincarnated from animals. Survival of the fittest is their favorite game. Anything that doesn't look like them is a threat. That's why all of us are at different levels of consciousness. If someone is an idiot, an idiotic view of the world would satisfy them. They wouldn't have problems stereotyping people. 3. They don't choose their beliefs. The racist ego is given to them by God. That's a Utopian idea. You can try to change your consciousness but not the world. Lord Krishna, Jesus, and Buddha were also hated by some people. That's why I said it's unnecessary to understand why.
  9. @The Monk Reality has infinite perspectives. Every incarnation of God has a different perspective. Racism is just one. There's no need to understand why.
  10. What's the worst that could happen if you decide to fuck around?
  11. It's not about what you say, it's how you say it. You can talk about whatever you want. Talk about what you're interested in. That way if the girl is not interested, you can move on. Read No More Mr. Nice Guy by Dr. Robert Glover.
  12. All of the above. People of color aren't portrayed positively in academics and media. The ones who are usually have "white" features. It's sad but that's the system we live in.
  13. @Principium Nexus My answer is going to be controversial. I think they should fully embrace being racist instead of feeling guilty about it. The ego has to be strong before it can be dissolved and feeling guilt doesn't strengthen the ego at all. I'm not saying they should murder people. I'm saying they should be honest with themselves. It would be easier for them to attain enlightenment and love everyone. The beliefs are given to them by God.
  14. I think it's funny how the ego assumes that it knows things. For example, scientists say there was a Big Bang that created the universe. In our experience the universe has always been around. It might be true that it "started" at a certain point, but in our Awareness it has always been here. In our Awareness we have always been here. I don't think science can ever find evidence for consciousness because all the scientific experiments happen within Consciousness. All the data collected in an experiment is within consciousness. The scientist is not aware of Consciousness itself which is what he/she actually is. For that he/she would have to be an enlightened master. I think the beauty of God is it can be experienced individually. It can't be proven to others. If I'm the only one who can see ghosts, why would I prove it to others? That's the mistake religious people make. All the prophets of humanity were practicing religion correctly but the masses aren't. The masses want to "fit" God into their idea of how God should be. Why does God only have to be a creator? Why can't God be the experiencer of the universe through all living things? My aim is to experience God through a kundalini awakening at some point in my life. I'm not in a hurry I'm just enjoying the process. No reason to chase enlightenment it will happen naturally. Don't feel bad if you don't become enlightened instantly. Enjoy the process. It's not a big deal.
  15. @Nahm Interesting I don't really find seeking God or self-inquiry to be helpful. I also don't like the terminology of no-thing. I think saying God is without qualities is better. It's impossible for me to think about God. If we do self-inquiry we try to discover what qualities God possesses, but unfortunately there are none. There is something that is aware but that "thing" is impossible to pin down. When we say, we are this person, who is X years old, and all of that stuff, we are trying assign qualities to the Self. That's how we appear on the outside but it's not who we truly are. I think meditation is very helpful or any activity that focuses my mind. What has helped you?
  16. Yes, it's a religion. Maybe Islam was manipulated by someone else. I haven't studied Islam.
  17. No, the prophets didn't create religion, their followers did. When Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life," it's not meant to be taken literally. He said that because no one in his community was enlightened. Some idiots took that literally.
  18. @aniss Maybe your friends are secretly jealous of you. Try to be busy with other things so you don't feel needy for attention. Try to go without calling them for a month. If they don't call, they aren't real friends and you need new ones.
  19. @Ilya They've been replicated by 1000s of people throughout history. Many of the masters had experiences all throughout their life. Once your kundalini goes to the top, it never goes back down. You can experience samadhi at will.
  20. Blue represents pure consciousness. In real life Krishna was dark brown, like south Indians. Yes, we have a prayer in Sanskrit which goes like this: "Shivo hum, Shivo hum." It means Shiva is me.
  21. @ajasatya That's awesome! I was at a restaurant the other day and there was a couple sitting to the left of me. They were just staring at their phones the whole time. I think technology has hindered people's social skills.
  22. @Joseph Maynor Start by being more honest with yourself and others. Say what you think and do what you say. Become congruent.
  23. @Lord God To be honest, I don't consider Leo to be my teacher. I enjoy listening to different perspectives but I don't think Leo can teach enlightenment. Leo had glimpse of God during 5Meo, but he hasn't done it through his own effort yet. He could be missing many insights about reality that he could've gotten otherwise had he done it manually. I consider Ramana Maharshi, Ramakrishna, and their disciples to be my gurus for enlightenment. They've gone through the whole process and they know what they're talking about. I don't consider Osho and Sadhguru to be enlightened either because they have huge followings. That's not to say, enlightened people can't have followers but with huge fame I would be highly suspicious. I say be very choosy about who you consider to be your guru because the wrong information can send you down the wrong path.
