  1. We've been told by society that if we don't do "this" we're a bad person or vice versa. Our mind is susceptible to conditioning because it's so receptive. This entire spiritual process is against everything we've been taught. It's not society's fault because they can only tell us what they know and they don't know who they are. In the process, we may end up losing certain people, things, and places. That's perfectly okay but our mind likes to judge that as a bad thing. One solution I've found to such a problem is to let the mind sink into the heart. This way we can use our mind and follow our intuition at the same time. It feels pretty crazy at first but once it settles down, the mind doesn't control our actions. According to my research, there are different kinds of nirvikalpa samadhis. The type of samadhi Ramana Maharshi experienced and the type Ramakrishna, Jesus, and Buddha experienced are different. Ramana talks about a samadhi in which the mind is dissolved into the spiritual heart. This could mean that outer circumstances no longer bother us. We become one with our heart and experience peace. Ramakrishna talks about a samadhi in which the kundalini energy rises to our brain and we experience Consciousness (Brahman). Here is an article I read: https://luthar.com/2013/06/06/nirvikalpa-samadhi-two-different-perspectives/ One thing I know for sure is that this stuff is real. I can feel the kundalini energy in my lower back when I concentrate on something very hard. It's like a burning sensation and I don't have any medical problems. Although mine hasn't risen. It doesn't require any beliefs and it can happen to anyone at any time. Just wanted to share, much love!
  2. @Epiphany_Inspired What do you love to do? Figure that out and help people through it. I love astrology so I'm working on becoming an astrologer and helping people through counsel.
  3. @Leo Gura When you took 5-meo, did you see anything different or was it just your awareness expanding?
  4. @kurt After thinking about what you said, I have to agree with you as well.
  5. @cetus56 The various people who I researched say they can't describe it. It's entirely subjective so we don't know what an actual Samadhi feels like. When we pursue enlightenment we are going against what we "want" to do. Right now we "want" to pretend not to be God. I say that lightly because it's just a speculation on my part. According to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, there are certain things we have to practice before we can experience samadhi. Things like speaking the truth, which is mostly our subjective truth. This allows us to develop the discipline to experience samadhi because it's very intense. Every time we lie we strengthen our ego. When we lie it also creates thoughts in our mind that appear during meditation. That's why most people don't succeed in meditation. The Yoga Sutras can be practiced all the time, even while doing a scientific experiment. Swami Vivekananda was a student of Ramakrishna and he experienced Nirvikalpa Samadhi after a few years. Nowadays most people would never practice this stuff because sex, drugs, and alcohol are more important. lol
  6. @Progress My ego can't love them unconditionally it only sees their flaws. I was at the gym once and my friend came to me while I was doing push-ups. I told him to stop being annoying and he got so offended he didn't talk to me the whole day. I can't be friends with someone who is a pussy. It doesn't provide any growth for me.
  7. I'm going through a lot of changes in my own consciousness. It's overwhelming for me to listen to someone complaining right now. When I'm ready to I might help them increase their own consciousness but right now I would rather be alone.
  8. @Joel3102 There are different kinds of samadhi states: Samadhi- experience of the Self Savikalpa- with mind/thoughts Nirvikalpa- without mind/thoughts Sahaja- permanent nirvikalpa or savikalpa samadhi Less than 1% of people experience Savikalpa samadhi and even less experience Nirvikalpa. Savikalpa samadhi is the 1st stage of enlightenment. After Nirvikalpa samadhi we become 100% enlightened because we realize we aren't the body/mind complex. You shouldn't feel any fear because fear is just a projection of the mind. When the mind is destroyed there is no fear and your awareness is expanded to the infinite. Most of these so called "enlightened" people aren't really enlightened. They're just self deluded and out to delude others. They make up their own fairy tales and teach it to other people. It's best to rely on yourself and go by what you feel is right.
  9. @Progress Yeah I agree with you. I've been alone mostly all of this year because I wanted to find myself and my purpose. I had to remove two of my friends because I can sense their energy. One was a guy who didn't know what he wanted in life. He would go from one job to another and one woman to another. He was a really fun guy to be around but unstable. The other guy was married but he was complaining about his marriage. Since he was complaining all the time, I knew it was his own fault for how it was. If he was a fun person to be around, his wife wouldn't be bitching. I let him go because it's not my job to change the way he sees the world. My aunt has a scarcity mindset so she has attracted that into her life. Number 1 problem people have is they don't know what they want in life. They don't know how to be truly happy.
  10. Where did you get your information from? I can literally feel the sensations in my back. It's a practical experience. It sounds like you're dismissing it because you haven't experienced it. Even though everything is Brahman we can't dismiss our experience. When they say Shiva, it's not meant to be taken literally. It just means our experience intensifies from the normal level of consciousness.
  11. I'm not saying we should chase samadhi but if it happens, great. I don't think it does us any good to say the world "doesn't exist" or it's just Brahman. I know that's a paradox of enlightenment. For example, if people didn't experience samadhi they wouldn't have came up with this idea of Brahman in the first place. You're free to think whatever you want to but I would not philosophize.
  12. Without experiencing higher awareness, how do we know we are different from what we thought we were? For example, if I know I'm just observing my thoughts right now I don't feel different from the body/mind complex. A real samadhi should be one which differentiates between the ego and Self. right? If everything is Consciousness, aren't we experiencing it right now at a lesser intensity? I'm just asking for fun. lol
  13. Enlightenment is just another word for happiness. When Leo says, "You don't exist," it means God is appearing as you. You do exist but you're also God. It doesn't matter if you live with ego or not.
  14. @Prabhaker Don't use that kind of language against yourself brother. Enlightenment is not serious.
  15. @Callum A Very good post! I would like to add that we have to fully accept the ego before it can be dissolved. The misconception people have today is that they can try to remove the ego prematurely. Then they get into trouble because they choose activities that don't serve them. I might make a post in the future about some of the misconceptions I see.
  16. When you become enlightened, you feel one with everyone else. You see everyone as your Self; not just believe that, but actually feel it in your awareness. That doesn't mean you won't have disagreements. You won't have to think about it too much you'll know. As far as money is concerned, you might stop doing what you don't love.
  17. By illusion, it means our perception of it is flawed. For example, when someone dies we think that's the end for them. Infinite Consciousness needs egos to experience itself because it doesn't have any frame of reference. The limits of the ego are that you think you're just the body/mind complex and separate from everything else. Mystics have a strong intuition. The illusion is that we see everything in terms of separation but in reality it's all one consciousness.
  18. Switch the position because it's not necessary to be in pain. The important thing for meditation is if your back is straight.
  19. @Birdcage You can simply say, "I'm not ok with this," and give a reason why. Your friend sounds like a narcissist so you might have to drop her.
  20. Anyone can become a sage. It's like Leo said you have to figure it out along the way. The details of whether people will approve doesn't matter right now.
  21. @Pramit I have a different understanding of it.
  22. @username I would like to add one more thing. If your libido comes back don't suppress it. Sex doesn't lower your consciousness. There is a spiritual dogma about being celibate in certain teachings but it's not necessary for everyone. It's only wrong if you pursue sex from a lower consciousness (such as hurting women, or only thinking they are sex objects).
  23. @George Paul I think some of the things Leo says are far fetched. People who are new to spirituality can be confused but his intentions are good.
