Any mechanisms are imagined on the fly. You think we discovered some atoms, but actually we created them at the same time we discovered them. The difference between something you've already discovered and something you just discovered, is the imagination that the thing you already discovered has already been discovered. So when you come back to your house, you don't think you've discovered anything, but actually you've created a whole new house in an instant, the same way you've created the park you never saw in a city you've never been, when you first discovered it (and thus imagined it). You think you've already seen the house, with all the memories in your mind, but those memories are also imagined on the fly to have a sense of persistent reality. Again this isn't philosophy, you can directly experience this when you awaken.

You want a concept to fill your head, that's not what we're talking about. You can directly know, without thinking about it. There is tons of videos on Leo's channel if you want more concepts, or you could do what Leo tells you and self inquire, take psychedelics, kriya yoga, meditate, until you discover what consciousness is, in your direct experience. Nobody can tell you what it is, and if they do, it's just words and sounds that may or may not make some sense intellectually. Having a concept making some sense intellectually is only good for armchair philosophy if you don't do some actual spiritual work besides that.

What if you needed to know what consciousness is to determine if what you said is true ? If that is the case, then a lot of things you think you know may be totally different than what you first thought of them. And that would only be consciousness, maybe there is other things to know to truly understand how life works.

You can't prove anything to anyone even in the relative sense, cause a proof is nothing more than data gathered by someone else in the first place, you have zero clue if it's true even if everyone else in the world have a consensus about it. Your question is a metaphysical one, and those one can only be answered by you, cause every proof or explanation you could get are ideas and concepts. Understanding what others are (thus you), is not a concept.

There are only opposites in a duality framework. A duality is something you're making up to experience yourself as God, mainly by believing you're an individual self separated from other selves.
