Hey Actualized.org Family!! I was wondering if anyone of you had any information on how to deal with the loss of a loved one or a family member from an enlightenment perspective? Any advice , books, reading material, youtube videos, etc. would be great right now! Experiences they would like to share?? On October 13th of this year I lost my dad to stage 4 colon cancer. It's been really hard for my mother and I to deal with, especially since I live with my parents. I've had a lot of people pass away in my family before but I wasn't really close to them at all, since I grew up out of state away from the majority of my immediate family. I usually would be like "oh it's ok they're going to a better place, they are no longer in pain any more....lets celebrate the life they lived..... This way of thinking hasn't worked so well for my dad as much as I wanted it to. My dad and I never really had the best or close relationship. After around the age of 6 or 7 years old my dad distanced himself from me and was the primary disciplinarian. He was very harsh and at times down right verbally abusive. A lot of the things he said to me were very hurtful and drastically effected my depression during childhood and adolescence. I didn't get to make amends with my dad right before he passed away. I felt at the time that nothing needed to be said, and I felt that because my dad was dyeing in the hospital it would only aggravate the situation. I spoke with my mom about it before he passed away and she said that she thought that he didn't feel like there was anything wrong, or that anything needed to be said....it was like it was over, the past in the past kind of deal. Now that he's gone and it's been several weeks I've had my moments where I've had mixed emotions. .... anger, sadness, happy he's in a better place. I was surprised I was angry because I thought I had let all of this go. Is this normal to feel this way? ??? I'm also depressed because of both of my parents ill health (My mom had a stress related seizure in August, and my dad being in and out of the hospital every few weeks) made it very hard to focus on my life purpose...helping other people with my hypnosis and reiki business....I was afraid to leave my parents alone. I wanted to make sure I was there to take care of them. In August I literally found my mother slouched over on a couch and had to call 911. I don't think I could recall ever being that scared in my life....I thought about the fact that I could be alone soon...I could lose both my parents so quickly......It made me very scared for my future and my well being. I let my hypnosis business take a complete nose dive and had to get a side job to support myself. I'm actually down right embarrassed that I've had to take a huge step backwards with a career move and dream job, but I know that I made the right decisions and my values of putting my family first was what needed to be done. There was just no way I could run a business, when my dad was in the hospital for two weeks straight, sitting at his bedside, the hospital staff telling me he could die at any time, embracing every moment I could cherish, and not knowing when he would pass on.... It was just so emotionally over bearing. And I'm not even getting into the really gory details of everything that happened. I want to move on with my life, I want to focus on my life purpose and enlightenment but I feel so stuck. I feel like my feet are stuck in quick sand and I want to move but I can't. I feel so emotionally bombarded. I've tried crying but it's literally trapped in my body....I can literally feel it in my solar plexus. I've tried to seek other outlets to get answers and I even went as far as attending a Grief Share Class at my mom's church. They were talking that it could take up to 2 YEARS to deal with this....I don't have that kind of time to put my life on hold. I want so much to move on. I crave so much to learn and to have spiritual growth. From what I can see and have experienced so far dealing with death is tough because everyone seems to deal with it differently and one day can be completely different from the next. Sometimes the passing of a loved one can stifle your enlightenment and personal development growth, while for others if done correctly it can be a learning and very positive experience. It also does not help watching my mother cry either, I just feel so sorry for her. 40 years of a loving marriage gone. My grandfather is also in the hospital planning to get open heart surgery within the next few days and they don't expect him to make it either. I just don't need anymore of this....I just want to turn all of these emotions off. ... Any advice and support would really help right now....thanks! And many blessings! Peace and Love

@Prabhaker @Prabhaker @Ayla @Bob84 @Leo Gura @WelcometoReality @AlwaysBeNice Has anyone ever heard of or read this book??? I bought this over a year ago at a thrift shop. My intuition guided me to buy this book, and just feels right to read! It reminds me so much of my dad! He had the most impeccable sense of humor and he was even cracking jokes up until he passed away. The humor really lightened the blow of his passing, and my mom, family and I would reminiscence bout all the funny jokes he would tell us. WE NEED more laughter in our life. Life is supposed to be enjoyed!- 26 replies

@Emerald Wilkins Thanks for the kind words and your advice. It really means a lot to me. I've taken the time just recently to reflect on my thoughts, emotions and feelings and how they are effecting me right now. Crying with little that I've done so far has really helped a lot. I realized that there are certain triggers and things people say to me that have really set me off, and I discovered it has to do a lot from my past and what I went through. That is something I need to work on. I need to let go. Doing what feels good, feels right, right now. I've been feeling good this morning. My mom put another two Christmas trees up this morning. We are up to 7 Christmas trees so far. ....and I know she's going to put up two more....a total of 9 TREES! lol My dad would never let me get away with this!- 26 replies

Dance dance in the morning light! Open your darkened eyes! Hey, hey, it’s a beautiful day! It’ll be ok. It’ll be ok! Dance dance in the morning light! Open your darkened eyes! Hey, hey, it’s a beautiful day! It’ll be ok. It’ll be ok! Take a look, spin around, this is where I find you… where the roses bloom. Leave your cares, leave your fears, leave them all behind you… yeayah! It’s a beautiful day in the city of shining light! It’s a beautiful day. This is where I find you… yeayah Oh who will find me? @Ayla After that long talk we had yesterday......to JUST BE......you reminded me of an old song I used to listen to. It resonates with me right now. "Just Be" You can travel the world But you can't run away From the person you are in your heart You can be who you want to be Make us believe in you Keep all your light in the dark If you're searching for truth (Leo's SAGE Video) You must look in the mirror And make sense of what you can see Just be Just be They say learning to love yourself Is the first step That you take when you want to be real Flying on planes to exotic locations (materialism does not bring happiness) Won't teach you How you really feel Face up to the fact That you are who you are And nothing can change that belief Just be Just be Cause now I know It's not so far To where I go The hardest part Is inside me I need To just be Just be I was lost And I'm still lost But I feel so much better (Leo's Confusion Video!!) Cause now I know It's not so far To where I go There's not this spot Since this I feel I need To just be Just be- 26 replies

@Leo Gura Leo, you're the best coach EVER!!! This gives me a lot to work with. You probably have enough information here to make another video! lol Notice that everything is impermanent - Definitely was not feeling sad today. Especially after doing all that art work. My feelings come and go. I know I won't be mourning his loss forever. Notice that people who don't actively develop themselves and don't cultivate spiritual connection don't cope well with suffering - So very true. Ever since I've become more spiritual I've noticed a big difference in my spiritual well being. Once I got involved in Reiki, I noticed a huge shift in my spirituality. Notice that your life too is short. Use this to clarify your top values and priorities. - The body dies, but the spirit lasts all of absolute infinity. I think I need to go back over your life purpose videos again. But seriously....after watching your SAGE video, I am definitely all about TRUTH since I was a kid too!! Get Sage-lized!! lol That could be your new upcoming website...sagelized.org. Notice how and why you create suffering or resist certain emotions - I created and perceived my own sadness. Just a few weeks ago I was celebrating his life, and laughing about all the good memories my mom and I had with him at the hospital right before he passed away. I played on my thoughts and fed into them. I should have just observed my emotions and let them pass over. If I needed to cry, I should have cried. I went to see my guidance counselor today and she was telling me how important it is for me to cry and not hold it in. She said crying is a form of emotional release. The tears allow the adrenal glands to release the hormone cortisol into the body helping us to feel good. Notice how material attachments create suffering (yes, people are material) - We can have addictions to anything even people. That's why we have celebrities that have stalkers....addiction in human form! From doing my hypnosis work I can say from my experiences .... the majority of the addictions are pretty much the same ...I see the same patterns over and over again...it's just what did you choose as your poison? alcohol? drugs? food? facebook? porn? your ex (having obsessive thoughts of the person) You can feel the same way if you have a divorce or a break up. I totally have this concept down. Notice how great suffering can make you more compassionate for others' suffering - Just within the last few weeks I started feeling more compassionate for other people. At my new temporary job, I work in a stressful setting where I work with staff that would yell at me or snapped at me for no apparent reason. It was a lot of emotional work to do this but I started to feel what the other person was going through. I tried to understand why they were upset. This is what I've discovered so far..... One of my managers has a mom that is in the hospital suffering from a serious cancer in her jaw area. She has to drive over and hour after work just to see her in the hospital. The state that her mother is in, she probably has care givers fatigue making her more likely to snap at other people. There was another manager I worked with that had a lot of anger issues, and likes to be in control of everything. After observing I could see that he had insecurity issues and probably doesn't feel a lot of personal control of his life. He told me once that he regretted taking this job because it was longer harder hours and commute. If he had done it all over again, he wouldn't have taken his job and kept the old one. When he shifted from assistant manager to a main manager in the store, you could see a HUGE personality shift. He started having a sense of humor, and he felt balance in his life and was a pleasure to work with. He got the balance he needed for control. I have an associate that I work with has given me a hard time whenever I asked for help. I found out that she was learning disabled, and she is verbally abused by her parents at home. I can go on and on and on. But once I figured that out...that we are all human...and no one is out to get my ass....we are pretty much selfish and just out for ourselves, I realized that no one was the bad guy. We all had our own stress to deal with, and I was just seeing a by product of their emotional handling. From my dad's passing and this job specifically....even though it is definitely not my life purpose, I can say hands down I have started to grasp the concept of compassion. See my video: How To Deal With Strong Negative Emotions - I will definitely take a look at this video when I get the chance. But it's a good idea to keep your meditation habit going every day no matter what, so you've at least got that one period in the day where you can re-ground yourself.- The meditation by far, was the best thing I did while I was dealing with my dad in the hospital. The emotional stress I experienced was over bearing and there were times I had to physically leave the hospital because I couldn't handle it anymore. But once I went home and meditated, and I coupled that with my reiki stuff and some of my meditation music, etc. I would feel so rejuvenated and could go back to the hospital for round two. During the time I was meditating I reflected on all the good things about my dad. The good things I wanted to remember about him. And how selfless he was for me and my mother. He literally worked up until he died. He went on disability for work, and three days later he went to the hospital and two weeks later he was gone. If he had not worked my mom and I would not have a place to live nor any kind of financial backing at all. He worked to pay off his chemo with his health insurance he got through work. I could go on and on about what my dad did, and even the way he died was very selfless. He didn't want my mom and I to suffer anymore since we were completely exhausted from being at the hospital. The hospice people told us his stay in the hospital needed to come to an end.....he needed to go home on hospice or be placed in facility in a very far location to keep his oxygen going to help sustain him...however long he had left.....he decided to take the mask off and end all of our suffering...it makes me cry as I write this...I don't know anyone in my life that was so selfless...even though my dad and I were never that close. In the end after I reflected I was so thankful that he was MY DAD, and not someone else! I can not thank you enough how much this has really helped me.- 26 replies

@WelcometoReality That is absolutely the most brilliant idea ever!!! My mom and I were thinking about writing him Christmas letters, but I like this even better, it would be a great outlet for me to express some of my emotions. I also found out recently after he passed away that he was BI-POLAR, which explains a lot of the random anger and mood swings that never made any sense to me as a child. It certainly doesn't alleviate everything that he did, but it definitely softens the blow. I'm going to have to do some serious forgiveness work here.- 26 replies

@Ayla Wow...you have like the most stunning eyes! You're mesmerizing. You reminded me of something though I need to do....I have a phobia of being on camera!! The best thing to do with getting rid of a phobia, well at least from my experience is to dive right in. Get your feet wet! I'll have to make a hypnosis video and post it to the forum for you to see! I was always deathly afraid of dogs so about a month and a half ago, just a few weeks before my dad went into the hospital, I got a job walking dogs professionally. The phobia went right out the window! lol It was hard to give up my job....dogs are like kids...they really grow on you...and you build that relationship and bond with them. I didn't want to let them go...I almost cried!- 26 replies

@Ayla - The artistic avenue is working rather well..... This is not a typo...We've completed Christmas Tree number 5 in our house! lol....and we're not done yet! I got all artistic with the snow....hehe And no that is not a real tree. It's amazing how there is art all around us and is in everything. From a painting....to a christmas tree....to the clothes we wear...to the words we speak....everything is beautifully and wonderfully made.- 26 replies

@Ayla Ayla...you completely read my mind. I've been painting for the last couple of hours. Keeping busy has really helped too. I also have become more strict with my diet and what I have been eating. I've noticed for me personally there is a huge correlation between my physical and emotional health and what I choose to put in my mouth. I was binge eating on potato chips, and the large quantities of salt causes me to have panic attacks and random crying jags. Now that I've eliminated the source of my bad eating habits I can not express what a huge turn around it is has been for me. Here is the painting I've been working on today. It's an acrylic painting that I started in February of this year, and I just paint whenever I feel the need to. And when I'm finished painting I just hang it back on my wall in my room like it's finished. lol.- 26 replies

@Bob84 I'm so sorry for you loss. It's so wild how one thought can effect your entire outlook, and your entire day. I'm practicing mindfulness right now, it's so interesting .... just sitting here reflecting I'm like....why am I even getting upset over this?!? I can't bring him back, and I wouldn't want to. And I know he wouldn't want me to be sad either. My dad would want me to be happy, focus on my career and move on.- 26 replies

@Ayla Crying has been almost impossible for me to do. I've only cried less than a handful of times since my dad has passed. I think part of the problem is I view crying as form of weakness, although I've been told continuously that you get physically sick if you hold in your emotions too long. Crying supposedly has a cleansing effect on the body. My problem is I associate crying with depression because of my past experiences from childhood. I feel that I lose control of my body and my emotions and I don't like it. lol I'm very serious when I say that I can literally feel it in my stomach area (where we hold most of our emotions, the solar plexus) and my throat chakra (the place that holds our communication). I've cut a lot of people out of my life since I've come home to be with my parents and doing all this enlightenment work. I just didn't want negativity in my life. or to surround myself with people that would bring me down. I would rather meditate in my room and do reiki on myself than go out with a bunch of people and see them get drunk in a bar...it just doesn't make sense to me. I think that's part of the problem too! lol I'm not interacting and reaching out for help. I don't have to do everything by myself. I can't lean on my mother either because she has too much on her own to deal with.- 26 replies

@Prabhaker Very wise words my friend. Very insightful! It can be easier to watch someone else die and embrace the moments depending upon your awareness , but it is certainly a lot scarier to experience your own. I had a near death experience where I was drugged in a bar two years ago and I would have most likely passed away if it wasn't for the fact I was in such good health because of the way that was I eating. After watching my dad pass away death seemed a lot less scary to deal with. I realized I was more concerned about the pain of death rather than death itself. Once you're dead....you're dead! There is no more pain. But I can say this from my own personal experience, because I'm a reiki practitioner and I am attuned to energy, I can feel energy and pain on other people's bodies. When my dad finally decided to take the mask off that was keeping him alive I did Reiki on him while he was taking his last breaths. He lasted for about 10 minutes, and five minutes in I could literally feel that the pain was completely gone from his body.....yet he was still breathing.... The body is temporary, but the consciousness is eternal. I've also noticed that pain is perceived. We can make pain worse because of our subconscious minds and our egos.....It's like you get a paper cut and don't realize that it's there...but then you notice the paper cut and then your perceive pain....and then it starts hurting. I've even seen it happen on a larger scale in my life. Even a common cold you can make worse by labeling yourself and telling the ego that you are sick...so the symptoms and the pain is perceived to be a lot worse. I am very aware that I am an eternal being. And that everything in life I perceive as good or bad and all I have to do is make that choice. From what I can see it takes time to create this new healthy habit and way of thinking. And my vision is enlightenment, however long it takes for me to achieve, but I don't have to worry about how long it takes, because I have absolute infinity to achieve it! Time is an illusion.....I don't have a time machine or a tardis to go back to my past.....and the future can never come soon enough...all there is that exists is now.....so embrace what is..and be grateful.- 26 replies

@Mitch I was talking about my life coaching and hypnosis business to my guidance counselor just recently. She told me that as a counselor she gets most of her clients through insurance companies. Just thought I would bring that to your attention, since it will be easy to gain clients that way as a neuropsychologist. And as a neuropsychologist people would be likely to go to you for life coaching services and skills because of your extensive background and education. Also remember you can work with "Psychology Today" and gain clients that way too. Psychology Today is a popular magazine that they sell in many stores and they have advertising that you can put in the magazines and through their website's online database. People specifically go to to this website to search for reputable therapists, hypnotists, and probably life coaches as well. Just FYI.
-
@Mitch @Thinh It's all the new coming trend on actualized.org! lol. It's the face of pondering your life purpose and enlightenment. Why did you want to become a life coach? I wanted to become a life coach because it compliments my hypnosis business and I enjoy helping people and seeing them transform into the person they want to be. I really feel what my clients are going through and sincerely care about their well being. I've had to hold back my tears a few times during a few sessions, because I tend to uncover things about my clients they didn't know about themselves. (for example: they might be over eating and unable to lose weight because they are using food as a coping mechanism to cover up an abusive relationship). Two years ago I had a near death experience coupled with a major abusive relationship and I made the decision to come home and live with my parents (also my dad was suffering from stage 4 colon cancer and I didn't know how long he was going to live). I went to see a hypnotherapist with a background in life coaching to seek help from the severe trauma I had experienced. After about 4 sessions I was back to normal, which probably would have taken me years if I had went to see a counselor or psychologist or even a psychiatrist. I don't believe in covering up your emotions with medications. To me it is just avoiding the problem, except in extreme measures where it may be needed. After I was cured I decided to take the plunge and make a big career change and got certified in Hypnosis. And soon to be life coaching. I feel life coaching is a part of my life purpose. It allows you to give back and help others. I can not describe the joy it brings me to help other people and give back. When you become selfless it just fills that empty hole in your heart. My life purpose is to help other people on their life journey, where ever that may take them...even if I don't agree with the direction they are going necessarily. Only your intuition knows what's right for you. I also like life coaching because I find that not one technique works for everyone when it comes to self improvement (I've used multiple combinations of hypnosis, life coaching, and even reiki in my sessions). I also like asking questions because it gets people to think about their actions and why they do the things that they do. The true answers lie within your inner self. What program did you go through, why, and would go through that program again? For the coaching end, I'm taking a different approach than most people because of my hypnosis background. They have special certifications for hypnotists/hypnotherapists to expand knowledge and specialty. I plan to take a Hypno-Coaching class which teaches specific life coaching techniques to help enhance ones hypnosis business. I haven't taken it as of yet, but I don't think I would regret ever taking the class because I really like my instructor, and I'm very close with her. She's the type of person I can sit and talk to on the phone for three hours about hypnosis and coaching and not finish the conversation. lol. What's the most profound thing you've learned as a result of your profession? A lot of the things I learned about hypnosis and especially life coaching were self taught. I did something that normally other people don't usually do which is just dive in. It wasn't intentional for me to do the coaching, but I just found that I had a knack for it, and I happened to ask the right questions. And I had to ask the right questions because I needed specific information to help my clients to quit smoking, lose weight, anxiety, etc. I also learned to follow my intuition when helping others. I realized that I had a lot of personal life experiences that others could relate to. I also learned that life is about BALANCE. People need certain things to be happy and function. They need to go after what they love and enjoy. Be QUICK to LISTEN, and SLOW to SPEAK. FEEL COMPASSION for others. Any other advice you might have for an aspiring life coach? You can be the best coach in the world, but if no one knows you're out there, there is not much you can do to help other people. You need to find and hone your skill on advertising and building your business. Making money is a mindset, and needs to come from a positive emotional place. If you haven't watched Leo's video about having a healthy mindset about money you should do that now. He also has some great books on his list for life coaching. Those books will give you some good direction. Make Life coaching and helping others apart of your life purpose and some how tie that in with enlightenment work on improving yourself. Never stop learning. Never stop improving yourself. Life is a journey and a constant learning experience. There is always more room to grow and expand.

Vanessa Williams - Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas - Disney) -This song covers a lot of multiple meanings and topics. On his 5meo Dmt video that Leo just recently released on actualized.org I made a comment about this specific song. This song talks about how energy is every where and in everything (Which Martin Ball talks about energy in his interview). This video also talks about taking care of the earth. When we love ourselves (personal development) we can take care of others. It talks about Absolute Infinity too! Song Lyrics You think you own whatever land you land on The earth is just a dead thing you can claim But I know every rock and tree and creature Has a life, has a spirit, has a name (this is talking about energy in all things, whether we realize it or not) You think the only people who are people Are the people who look and think like you But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger You'll learn things you never knew you never knew (It's good to be open minded. We can learn things from unexpected places, Don't be so quick to judge others, even if you know there is a huge chance they are wrong. Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.) Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned? Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? ( I think these two sentences can be interpreted with so many meanings! Can you get along with everyone and have peace? Can you use all the tools and gifts of the universe??) What do you think this means?? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest Come taste the sun-sweet berries of the earth Come roll in all the riches all around you And for once, never wonder what they're worth The rainstorm and the river are my brothers The heron and the otter are my friends And we are all connected to each other, In a circle, in a hoop that never ends (ABSOLUTE INFINITY- lol Enough said!) Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon Or let the eagle tell you where he's been Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind Can you paint with all the colors of the wind How high does the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you'll never know And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon For whether we are white or copper-skinned We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain Need to paint with all the colors of the wind You can own the earth and still All you'll own is earth until You can paint with all the colors of the wind -

Ok.... Here is a song specifically for Life Purpose/Personal Development. This song reminds me so much of Leo's Life purpose course!!!!....A hero's journey. I know, I know.....I'm a die hard Michael Bolton fan! lmao! I'm such a dork!!! It's from the Disney Movie Hercules! I have often dreamed of a far off place Where a hero's welcome would be waiting for me Where the crowds would cheer, when they see my face And a voice keeps saying this is where I'm meant to be I'll be there someday, I can go the distance I will find my way if I can be strong I know every mile would be worth my while When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong Down an unknown road to embrace my fate Though that road may wander, it will lead me to you And a thousand years would be worth the wait It might take a lifetime but somehow I'll see it through And I won't look back, I can go the distance And I'll stay on track, no I won't accept defeat It's an uphill slope But I won't loose hope, 'till I go the distance And my journey is complete, oh yeah But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part For a hero's strength is measured by his heart, oh Like a shooting star, I will go the distance I will search the world, I will face its harms I don't care how far, I can go the distance 'Till I find my hero's welcome waiting in your arms I will search the world, I will face its harms 'Till I find my hero's welcome waiting in your arms -

1.) Chakra Gold: Aetherium - Full Album Continuous Mix 2.) I have a Reiki/Meditation Instructor that I see several times a month for her guided meditation classes. I would go so deep during the meditations and when the class was over I didn't want to stop! lol I always loved the music she would play in the background. I finally asked her a few months ago what she was playing, so here it is!- 2 replies

Hey!!! I created this second post so we can share music here specifically for meditation and inspiration. Please only post music here without lyrics. (ie: music to meditate too, classical music, easy listening, yoga, to study with, etc.) The other post that I've created "Music to Inspire Enlightenment, etc. is for music with lyrics, that has inspired you to go after enlightenment, awareness, personal development, actualization, etc. When you make a post please share: 1.) The name of the song and who it's from. 2.) And how this song has inspired you on your journey! Thanks! Lets see how many of these we can find! Have fun!

1.) Full Chakra Healing ~ Spa Music w/ Binaural Beats + Isochronic Tones (ZEN, REIKI) 2.) I absolutely love this! In fact I'm listening to this right now as I'm typing this! lol. I use this full chakra healing music when I meditate, and when I work with my hypnosis and reiki clients. I even sleep to this as well! I feel so energized in the morning! The youtube video is great because you can scroll to the specific chakra you want to work with. It is so nicely color coded. http://premiummeditationmusic.com/cha...- 2 replies

@AlwaysBeNice Good Idea!!! I see your point here. It would make sense to make another post about music pertaining to relaxation, and meditation. I will do that here shortly!
