  1. @Babybat - Don't beat yourself up. You have more than enough time to seek enlightenment, dissolve your ego, and spirituality....you have infinity to do it! Healing is spiritual. Listen to your intuition. If it is telling you to focus on art, than do it. Have you watched Leo's new video about Childhood vows? "I don't think I could ever be as selfless as some of you" <=== that is a limiting belief created by your subconscious mind. It can easily be changed by changing your thoughts. You are what you believe yourself to be!! You are your thoughts. And your thoughts create your feelings. Your feelings create your actions. Your actions create success. You are a Success!
  2. @Flare Yeah Beef is definitely off my list...lol....I miss my "IN and OUT Burger" from California. They were the best. But from people that I have talked to that do vegan meat substitutions (even the beef ones) say they do taste pretty good. I'm definitely by no means a body builder- but what's so interesting is that you can achieve the "body builder" look eating animal protein and without as a vegan, if it is done properly. And what's even scarier.....just because you're a body builder and you're working out ....it doesn't mean you're healthy either! I met a body builder 5 years ago that had cancer! Even as a RAW vegan, I have to watch my calories just as much as I would if I wasn't. Because I'm vegan it's a lot harder to get calories in for me because I have to eat allllllllot of fruit and salads to make up for what a small portion of protein on a non-vegan diet would. It's a pain in the butt....but it does work. And the fruit doesn't give me diabetes, like candy sugar would. Which is great. lol...btw...I'm not a dude....but I'm glad the picture fooled ya! hehehe. I guess the silly glasses with the big fake nose worked!
  3. I'm not trying to convert people to become vegan. I'm just sharing information I have found on my journey. I do not want to control anyone, or tell anyone what to do. We all have our own journey to take. And we need to make our own personal choices on what we choose to put in our mouths. We are what we eat....... In fact if I could eat pizza and macaroni and cheese (non vegan foods) every day I would do it. I miss eating my candy. I miss eating steak and sea food. But I can't eat it! It makes me physically sick!!! I'm just stating my health situation does not fit nor pertain to any medical advice or statistics. @Radical Honesty
  4. @Flare I am not attacking you by any means and I'm only sharing this information out of LOVE. I support you on your journey and where ever your intuition guides you. The comments above mine mentioned building muscle...body builders build muscle..... So I showed that a vegan can build muscle as well and you don't need animal protein to do it. The strongest man in Germany is Vegan. And he states in his video that you don't have to eat animal protein to be strong or healthy. So I was also answering the question of "What's the deal with being vegan/vegetarian" Telling yourself "you can't do something" isn't good either, it's not good for our subconscious mind. You don't have to be a body builder to be healthy....and even a sense be vegan. You can just simply work out an hour a day, or every other day and still be healthy. And if you really want something that badly, and especially if it's apart of your life purpose you will find a way. I was simply showing an example to prove a point. The book goes on to say that body builders don't need more protein to work out, and that the average person on the American standard diet has been shown statistic wise that they are not even on a high protein diet, even though they falsely believe that they are!! Sorry I completely disagree with you on this one...and that's ok. We are all here to learn and are on a journey to expand our consciousness and that's what I love about this forum. We don't have to agree with everyone, but we can still share what we know or perceive to be true and still feel comfortable, safe and supported and come from a place of LOVE. If I eat more than 30% protein I'll be in trouble...I'd be very VERY SICK ....lol....I'm RAW VEGAN, not by choice but by my health reasons. (If I could eat pizza every day and be ninja turtle I would do it!! I love candy, I love cheese, I love POTATO CHIPS!!! lol) I'm allergic to more things than the average person (gluten, dairy, peanuts, eggs, soy, table salt, sugar, bht,.....the list goes on) And I've tried high protein diets...the vegan and non-vegan kind....I get straight out panic attacks, blacking out from the protein every time. I almost pass out on the floor, get uncontrollable diarrhea, get urinary tract infections....ummm just no flat out NO for me! lol However when I eat a ton of fruit and especially big leafy green salads I have so much energy I don't know what to do with it. I've literally run for an hour straight with out stopping and without getting tired. If I was on a regular diet,...even considered healthy with animal protein, I would still be very sick. But...hey...maybe I've just got a weird body type and everybody needs something different, which is true. No two bodies are the same. We all have our own nutritional needs. We can get blood tests now so that can have our very own custom made nutritional supplements. I go by what the books say, and they have worked out great for me. My sacred truth tells me to steer clear of protein and stay on the vegan path after years of misdiagnoses from doctors that have absolutely no knowledge of diet and nutrition, and being over medicated which did not fix anything but cover up my health problems. When I took charge of my health, and ate raw vegan, I literally reversed all of my health problems, including my endometriosis and ovarian cysts, and hypothyroidism, and panic attacks. But I will agree with you on this, we NEED discernment when it comes to what we read and what we hear. We can't believe everything a doctor says or even sadly what statistics say. Even statistics can unfortunately be altered and warped to prove something to be true and sway audiences. We need to find our TRUTH.
  5. Hi Leo, I think it would be so great if you could teach us about becoming a SAGE by conducting live in person seminars/classes in Las Vegas (considering there are all those casino hotels out there that you can rent conference rooms from). It would make you a butt load of money since you can charge per student to attend. Just thought it was a cool idea. SAGE UNIVERSITY! I know I would definitely attend if you had one and I'm sure many others would feel the same way.
  6. Pg 110 - 80/10/10 book by Dr. Douglas Graham The Dangers of Eating More than 10% Protein To listen to the proponents of the meat industry, one would think we are in imminent danger of disease and death if we fail to eat meat three times a day. The truth is that eating meat this often causes the very conditions we're taught to fear. This is a surprise to most people, who have been taught incorrectly, that they need large amounts of protein to be healthly. Actually, the reverse is true; Most people suffer from an over dose of protein each day, and this accounts for a great deal of our ill health. To much protein in our diets is associated with all manner of health impairments, including such symptoms as constipation and other digestive disorders that often lead to anemia (toxic blood and tissues) and, eventually cancer. Autoimmune dysfunction, arthritis, and all other autoimmune conditions, premature aging, impaired liver function, kidney failure, osteoporosis, and many other degenerative and pathogenic conditions result from eating more protein than we need. In general, protein based foods are highly acid forming in the human body (even the high protein plants, such as legumes) this is because their predominant minerals are the acidic minerals- chlorine, phosphorus, and sulfur. To maintain homeostasis, the body must counterbalance the acidity caused by excess protein consumption. Unfortunately, it does so in part by taking a precious alkaline mineral, calcium, from our bloodstream. The body replaces calcium into the bloodstream, where calcium levels must remain relatively constant, by removing it from our bones and teeth, setting the stage for osteoporosis and tooth decay. It is no coincidence that fruits and vegetables contain just the right amounts of proteins to build and maintain the human body. Nor is it a coincidence that the minerals they supply are predominantly the alkaline ones: calcium, sodium, magnesium, and potassium. Just thought I would share this too.
  7. @vizual @Pramit Some good books to read too are- The China Study by T. Colin Campbell and The 80/10/10 diet by Dr. Douglas Graham 80/10/10 Book pg 104 - 10% Protein Includes a Wide Safety Margin The national and international organizations that set nutrient guidelines build into their numbers a margin of safety that increases the recommendations substantially, often near double. The 1989 U.S. RDA for protein of 0.8 g/kg/day, for example, was designed to meet the needs of 97.5% of a normally distributed population. It was calculated as follows: - Conduct nitrogen balance studies to determine the mean amount of protein required to replace daily "obligatory losses" through sweat, urine, feces, and sloughed skin, hair and nails. - Add two standard deviations (25%) of this mean value - Add margins for digestibility and protein quality. In his book The China Study, renowned Cornell University professor emeritus of nutritional biochemistry T. Colin Campbell states that we require only 5-6% of our total calories to come from protein in order to replace the protein we routinely lose, and that "About 9-10% protein has been recommended for the past fifty years to be assured that most people at least get their 5-6% requirement. In addition to the safety margin, this recommendation assumes that people eat their protein cooked. Given that cooking substantially deranges protein and other nutrients, we can safely consume far less raw plant protein and still be assured of sufficient nourishment. Thus, you can see that 10% protein (maximum) is both sufficient and reasonable. The additional protein afforded by the built-in safety factory is not a problem, per se, except that over consumption of protein can lead to health problems, which will be discussed later in this chapter. The fact that our protein needs actually run in the single digits (under 10%) often surprises people. Most all of us have unwittingly fallen prey to meat industry propaganda that would lead us to believe otherwise. Truly, advertising has influenced our perception of reality so widely that the concept of "getting enough protein" is embedded in our culture. ..... If you need me to, I have info in this book about body building. pg 106 All Plant Foods Contain Protein Consuming approximately 5% of calories from protein is difficult to avoid if you are eating enough food to meet your daily calorie needs. All plant foods contain protein, and even if you ate a diet only white rice, which is not recommended, you would still end up with 8% protein for the day. But would it be the "right kind" of protein? Proteins are complicated molecules made by assembling simple building blocks (amino acids) together in a "poly-peptide" chain. Some 20 different amino acids are used to synthesize proteins, eight or nine of which are designated essential (depending upon whose information you read), The term "essential" in nutrition means that the nutrient in question must be eaten otherwise consumed, as the body cannot synthesize it. The Complete Protein Myth In the 1970's, people often concerned themselves with combining proteins so that all of the essential acids were available at each meal. Later research has determined that this is not necessary, and in fact the author of the "incomplete protein theory" Frances Moore Lappe, recanted 20 years later, saying that she was utterly mistaken. We do need all of the essential amino acids, but we do not have to eat them together, or even each day, pg 107 Sources of Protein Dietary protein is not the only source for building the proteins we need. Instead, our bodies efficiently recycle between 100-300 grams of our own protein each day. We have an amino acid pool from which to build new proteins. We add amino acids to the pool by breaking down the proteins we eat and the proteins in our bodies. We can easily meet our protein requirements on a vegan diet, with no particular attention focused on combining proteins or selecting certain foods for each meal. examples apricots = 10% protein Cucumbers = 11% protein Asparagus = 27% protein Green leaf/ lettuce = 22% protein Oranges = 7% protein ....There is so much information in this book it is crazy, I'm only listing stuff that I think is the most important.
  8. Just thought I would share this with you guys if you haven't seen some of this info. 9. Hey Actualized.org Family! I was wondering if anyone had any information on how to have a healthy marriage and relationship from an enlightened perspective? Of course you can have a relationship with someone and not be in love- and you're not happy. Of course you can have a relationship with another and be in love with them and not be enlightened... But how does it work if both partners are enlightened and how does one attain that? From my research and personal journey so far, and people that I talk to it is pretty much a prerequisite that you TRULY love yourself before you can give love to another person. Also I've noticed from people that I know that are in happy long term relationships, they were not looking to be with anyone, and love found them! They were not chasing love. Love just came to them unexpectedly. I KNOW MARRIAGE can be a very spiritual thing. I know you don't need to get married or have a relationship to obtain personal development, but I'm interested in the dynamics of how it works. I don't think people realize that when they are at that alter taking those vows, that they are making a very powerful unconditional love commitment. To love someone unconditionally, through sickness, and good health, good times and bad. I can just imagine how powerful a union can be if both people are enlightened or on an enlightened path, both working on themselves doing personal development. Like a union where there is this partnership where they enhance each other, and help each other go after their goals and dreams...their life purpose, becoming a sage...meditating together.....etc. Are their couples out there that exist that already do this? Where can I find more information about this? Also I noticed from people I talk to that are successfully married and have children they describe it as if you are sacrificing yourself for another person. And I'm talking on the terms of COMPASSION and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Your life is no longer just about you, but another person, or people (if you have kids). But this giving is considered a part of your growth and helping to become a SAGE or enhance your love for people. What are your thoughts? What is your advice? Where can I find more information? Thanks Everyone for your Help!
  10. Another view on enlightenment....and spirituality....that's different. I copied and pasted my comment I posted on Leo's 5meo video interview with Martin Ball. Reiki is first off non-demonational or religious. Rei means spiritually guided and ki means energy, the vital life force or the universal life energy. Reiki is guided by spiritual consciousness. This is a non physical energy that animates all living things. And to some it would be interpreted as the Holy Spirit or God living within us. Reiki is a form of energy healing. Reiki guides itself with its own wisdom, rather than requiring the direction of the practitioner. Purging energy from your stomach as what Martin describes about 5-meo-HDTV reminds me of clearing the energy from your solar plexus chakra, which is where you hold all of your emotions. Ki, also known as prana, chi, ti, biofield energy, etc. is thought to be the underlying energy of everything that exists. Ki is influenced by the mind. If you have positive healthy thoughts, your Ki becomes stronger. If you have unhealthy, negative thoughts, your Ki is weakened or becomes unhealthy. It’s so interesting because I’m sure you’ve noticed that our physical health does have a connection to our emotions. Like when we are depressed or aka have negative energy we are sluggish and it can weaken our immune systems while being positive we have a tendency to have more physical energy and get things done. Life becomes so wonderful when we no longer allow ourselves to be governed by our emotions. The HOLY SPIRIT = ENLIGHTENMENT, nonduality, etc. like Leo mentions in his video.......
  11. @ajasatya I could not agree more with you. I need to do a lot of forgiveness work, which is what I've been putting my primary focus on. And it's great because I'm seeing a really fast transformation within myself. It's like I don't even recognize myself anymore. I've mentioned recently in another post that my dad passed away a few months ago, and how I had a lot of anger and frustration towards him because of how he treated me in my past. It is NOW my time to show compassion and send him love and let go. It is only my ego and my thoughts that think there is a problem. Parents play a huge part in how you view relationships and the type of relationships you attract. I've noticed the pattern that I have created in my life. I've been single for the last 8 going on 9 years and for a great reason. And I went on a wild journey where I got involved in adult entertainment for several years. I've learned so much from my mistakes. After walking away from the sex and becoming more celibate I've noticed a huge shift. Sex is indeed an addiction. And people...a lover can be an addiction if we are not careful if our thoughts are not in the right place. I've learned to give back to others and show compassion for other people while working with people using hypnosis, reiki and life coaching. I have found my life purpose. I just KNOW I need to create a Burning Self Love within myself. That is my next step. I've been seeking TRUTH since I was 16 years old so I know it is definitely my top value. And health has many aspects to it....spiritually, mentally, and physically. There is indeed a balance that needs to be kept so that we can thrive. I've taken it upon myself to drastically change my diet, which has in turn affected me mentally and spiritually. The food we eat effects the way we think. The thoughts and affirmations in our mind impact our actions, and that effects our SUCCESS! You are what you believe yourself to be! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, experiences and advice. It really does help! I'm so happy for you that you have found someone that lives and shares this TRUTH and Love. I know I will find my soul mate with patience. But right now I have more important things to work on!
  12. Looks like Gary Zukav has a book too...looks like it's worth reading too.
  13. Hi Leo, I was wondering if you could make a video about self love and how it is an important role in becoming a sage. If you don't love yourself you cannot show compassion and love for other people. I know this requires a lot of changes within the ego and the subconscious mind. I love finding answers from multiple teachings: Galatians 5:22-23- "But the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Teal Swan- You are indivisible by which you call God, which means that any act that is not self-loving is true blasphemy. Osho- A man who loves himself, takes the first step to real love. Buddah- You yourself as much as anybody else in the universe, deserve your love and affection. I like a lot of things that Louise L Hay talks about in her video "You Can Create an Exceptional Life". The way to control your life is to control your choice of words and thoughts. No one thinks in your mind but you. Stop all Criticism. Begin to Notice how your mind manifests things in your life. Forgiving yourself. Be Gentle, Be Kind, Be Patient with yourself.. I especially like this one.... BE LOVING TO YOUR NEGATIVE- The negative is a need that fulfills me in some way in my life. You need to find a new way to fulfill that negative (habit, behavior, belief) in a new way, Louise L. Hay - Heal your body For us to become whole and healthy, we must balance the body, mind and spirit. We need to take good care of our bodies. We need to have a positive mental attitude about ourselves and about life. And we need to have a strong spiritual connection. When these three things are balanced, we rejoice in living. No doctor, no health practitioner can give us this unless we choose to take part in our healing process.
  14. @ajasatya I totally agree with you on this. We all need to do some serious deep personal development work before we dive in or even attempt to have a serious relationship. But I wonder how this all plays out if you have children??.....with children....you need both parents for them to really learn what love is and for them to develop fully. (I mean yeah you can raise children with a single parent, but I think there is a reason we need both of them. Like a spiritual connection. A balance of yin and yang, of male and female energy) But if they have to stay together....that's not love.....LOVE is FREEDOM.....I'm trying to figure out where my perception is wrong on this matter. I'm single with no children of my own, so it is very hard for me to grasp this concept.
  15. @NTOgen This video also has a good point here....you do really need to think about why you want to have a relationship in the first place....NEED is not LOVE. It is so easy to fall into the trap of being in love with someone for the wrong reasons. This need is based off the ego....an insecurity within the subconscious mind.
  16. The DIVINE PURPOSE of the indigo child is to bring about the changes our planet needs to help create a society built upon integrity, truth, and cooperation. WE are ALL in a way Indigo Children.
  17. MORE examples of the same TRUTH..... you just have to seek it. Author : Louise L Hay- "Everything I need to know is revealed to me. Everything I need comes to me. All is well in my life. There is no new knowledge. All is ancient and Infinite." Leo is right...this knowledge has been known for a very VERY long time......
  18. You can LOVE one another, and not even have the same faith. I love these internet news articles. They make me want to cry.... It is so easy to focus on the negative and what is wrong with the world. That won't fix the problem. We need to shift our consciousness to LOVE. We need to work together as one, because we are all one. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1353330/Egypt-protests-Christians-join-hands-protect-Muslims-pray-Cairo-protests.html http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/muslims-return-favor-join-hands-christian-protesters-mass-cairo-tahrir-square-article-1.137961
  19. And there is so much more. You will see patterns....people are all saying the same thing!
  20. Leo is right. We have to be very careful with esoteric knowledge. Your perception is what makes religion bad. Seek the TRUTH, ....seek the LOVE.....avoid the hate. You can believe in God (absolute infinity, etc.) minus the religion.
  21. We are all on the same journey.....but we are all at different stages. We shall work together as one. We can all learn from each other. We don't have to agree on everything, but we can still LOVE unconditionally.
  22. These spiritual teachers (and to some people they would be considered ASCENDED MASTERS) all taught LOVE....unconditional LOVE....to LOVE all people of all kinds, of all backgrounds, from all places. We are all family, we are all one!
  23. @NTOgen This is a great video...and the website is even better. I'll have to purchase the full interview soon so I can get a good scope of what they are talking about. http://shiningworld.com/site/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=133 Thanks!
  24. @Toby I haven't heard about that one. I'll have to check that out. Thanks!
