  1. @GeorgeLawson Great Post! I love seeing everyone's answers! And it's wonderful that everyone has taken charge of their health. This is definitely an important part of personal development. If you don't take care of your body....how do you expect to raise your consciousness? You are what you eat! The Ultimate Shopping List??? Well Everyone is different, especially when it comes to their health needs. Food allergies is a great example. I'm going to be the odd ball out of the group for sure since I have a ton of food allergies: soy, gluten, peanuts, dairy, eggs, brussel sprouts, red cabbage, salt, sugar, green tea. And all animal proteins does not sit well in my intestinal tract. Even beans and grains give me a problem causing me reoccurring panic attacks. I'm primarily Raw vegan by default for health reasons. My Shopping List: If I can buy these things organic and raw/uncooked I usually will. I try not to stress out if I want to cheat every once in a while. You gotta live and enjoy life, but I do it in a way that doesn't mess with my food allergies. I also fluctuate with what I buy too depending what I'm in the mood for. And I usually pick up fruit every few days because I love to make smoothies for breakfast and to munch on through out the day. It's definitely great on digestion! I'm not a big fan of eating vegetables surprisingly! lol So sometimes I'll buy a few cans of organic no salt/sodium peas to put in my salads for additional protein. Veggies- Arugula Watercress Salad Mix- spinach and other various dark leafy greens Avocado Cucumbers tomatoes cauliflower carrots radishes celery sprouts - any kind peas peppers cilantro flax seed oil (I use this as a salad dressing) Fruit- I usually will buy a huge fruit bowl, and some frozen fruit and throw some bananas in with orange juice for my smoothies. But like I said I fluctuate for variety. watermelon (this is great to eat for breakfast by itself!) cantaloupe pineapple strawberries blueberries raspberries bananas peaches lemons - I <3 Lemons.... they are great for digestion, and to flavor water limes GOJI BERRIES - They are the bomb! Super FOOD! Coconut Water Other Proteins/etc/cheat foods Tahini Raw Organic Almond Butter raw Almonds Sweet Potatoes (When I need to eat something heavier every once in a while to fill up my tummy) - it's a cheat food Daiya Mac & Cheese - Cheat food- This prevents me from going crazy and cheating on something that would cause me a problem lol Daiya Pizza - Cheat food - Gluten, dairy, and soy free Lara bars - Coconut Cream Pie - my go to dessert, especially when I go to another person's house and they serve dessert. It makes me feel human and somewhat normal....lol...sort of! Manuka Honey - if you get the right brand, this is a natural antibiotic/probiotic Raw Virgin Organic Coconut Oil - another natural antibiotic, it helps with my soy allergy Apple Cider Vinegar- great replacement for tums/indigestion Oregano oil- natural antibiotic Evian Water - I prefer to drink fruit juices I make from smoothies if I can for hydration and natural electrolytes. I try to stick with alkalized water, and reverse osmosis water. Vitamins- Garden of Life Living Multi - You can get this from The Vitamin Shoppe. Cleaning supplies- Rubbing Alcohol
  2. @PJSTYLES Don't make it more complicated than it has to be. Just go up to her and say Hi and start a conversation. Don't let your fear get the better of you. You are good enough just as you are and you deserve to interact with women and have a relationship! If you smile at her, and she smiles back and looks at you, it's pretty much an invitation that it's safe to approach her. I would definitely get involved with pickup. Good luck!
  3. @FeelFree I was expecting this post to be about how you raised your consciousness while eating vegan. lol. Which has most certainly happened with me for sure, especially since I'm eating a majority of raw fruits and vegetables. I definitely feel a lot better. You certainly can't force or coerce anyone to be vegan of course, but definitely leading a by being a great example, and attending events and festivals would work. Good luck!
  4. @Awomanaware There are so many things to be grateful for! lol It's hard to list just one. I use the gratitude list a lot with my hypnosis clients to help them change their perspective, focus, and thinking patterns on the positive things happening in their life. I am grateful for absolute infinity/God/nothingness. Because if absolute infinity didn't exist...would we exist? lol Is that possible?
  5. Yay! I'm so happy for you! I've also seen the yellow colored flames while I'm doing kundalini yoga as well. And I was told by my reiki/yoga teacher that it was my solar plexus. I know exactly that feeling you are talking about. I used to get that very warm loving fuzzy feeling in my heart chakra every time I would read any of "the secret" books by Rhonda Burne about the Law of Attraction. However on the Third Eye Chakra and the Crown Chakra they need to have a more cooling sensation to feel balanced. I love using Doterra Peppermint oil in those two areas. It really heightens the meditation experience. @Green Warrior
  6. Hey Actualized.org Family, My new years resolution is to create more self love. I depend too much on other people's validation for self worth and I don't want to be that way any more. I've been working on this for the last few weeks, but I feel like I'm really struggling with this. I know I already have self love, but I still seek approval. I just want to focus on myself and not think about the opposite sex at all. lol. I just want to focus on me and enlightenment, and just forget men exist. ...what I mean by that is we can get so wrapped up with society and feeling that we need to be married or in a relationship to be normal. And I know I don't need to fit into that stereotype, but I'm still drawn to it!!! lol I know romantic relationships are not important and they will come in time, but I still think about having one! I just want to shut my brain off and just focus on enlightenment and my life purpose. It is a very addictive thought pattern, and I'm sure it's involved with a childhood vow.! I was just wondering....how have you created SELF LOVE in your life? Is there any good books, or things I can read to create that? Any good advice?
  7. @FirstglimpseOMG I agree with you on this one. A lot of it is letting go! And some times we hold on to the illusionary crap because we think it will make us feel even better than we would without it. ...but in reality we feel so much better with less. Love is all that we are, and all that we need. God/Absolute Infinity is LOVE.
  8. @BabyBat Well..I sure think Leo is the cutest alien I've ever seen! Too bad he's taken though. I'm thankful for his really big head because it holds ALOT of information.....really good useful information that we all use here! I'm really not convinced he's an alien though....maybe if he painted himself green, and had some antenna sticking out his head...looking like he was the character Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z I might be convinced..... lol jk Are really sure he's an alien though?? He looks pretty proportionate to me.... and wait a minute.........What if he's not the alien.....but we're the ALIENS?!?!? (Mind Explodes from Enlightenment Experience!!!)
  9. @pluto I agree it is definitely a good feeling. It's amazing that the ego gives us so much illusion....blinding us from the real truth.
  10. @Martin123 I've been able to cry more. It's interesting because I'm going through the crying phase since my dad has passed away. You have these different phases you experience with healing...and for some people it's this non stop crying. My mom had it a few weeks ago and she's feeling great and a whole new person now. Now I'm experiencing it. I was able to start crying again after I went to see a reiki practitioner. I do reiki myself, but I wasn't having much luck doing this on my own. I've realized that I don't have to do everything by myself. It's ok to ask for help.
  11. @Wormon Blatburm Exactly!!!! Some people would say WWJD? Others would say what would Buddah do? Or an enlightened person do? etc. I'm not familiar with Teal Swan but I like the idea. Well I came to the realization two weeks ago, that when I love someone else unconditionally it doesn't matter if they're young or old, rich or poor, or where they are in their life......I was like.....wait a minute!!!! I need to LOVE myself unconditionally without ever criticizing myself exactly the same way....and that needs to be done right now in this present moment! I also realized that with all this enlightenment work.....the body will change, the image will change......the ego will change.....but the consciousness will always be there for infinity. And I love and embrace all of that. Truth and illusions I've created.
  12. @Colin Affirmations are awesome when you meditate! Last week I did an affirmation in the mirror saying "I love and respect all of myself" and I said it atleast a hundred times....and omg I felt so amazing after that. There wasnt any blocks when I was saying it... it was more of gaining the courage to sit in front of the mirror and say it! lol ....it's crazy how we can be afraid of such silly things! I've never heard of this book....it sounds like something I might need to order off of amazon. I've been slacking on my meditation that's for sure. It's work making it a daily habit!
  13. @Phocus Thanks meditation is a life saver!
  14. @eskwire You are the third person that has told me this!!! And it works! Leo mentions it in one of his videos, and my favorite author Louise Hay talks about it in one of her books, Last week I sat in front of the mirror and told myself "I love and accept all of myself". And I got really close to the mirror too. Looked at myself straight in the eyes. I must have repeated this affirmation about 100 times. And then after I said it to my face in the mirror as close as I could get, I started talking to all my bodily imperfections telling them "I love and accept all of myself". And then I reflected on all of the good and especially the bad times that I was not proud of in my life. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've every had. I was absolutely petrified to do it....it was so strange.....like what is there to be afraid of?!? lol but after I did it I felt a huge shift in how I feel. I also found the best photos of myself that I could find and also posted them on the mirror while I was saying the affirmations. I had a lot of insecurity issues with my looks and when I picked out my best photos I realized that I looked a lot better now than I did in high school and surprisingly even better than I did when I was in adult entertainment! Especially since I have spent so much time taking care of my health and my diet, and my mental well being. It feels so good to let go, and forgive.
  15. @ArabiaNytes When I ate a poor diet it was harder for me to mentally focus and I was more reactive and quick to anger, with crying jags. When I ate better I noticed a rise in my consciousness. I had more emotional control. I was able to stay calm in most situations unless it was something super extreme of course...(like last August when I found my mother slumped over on the couch after she had a seizure and had to call 911. I was having such a bad panic/anxiety attack I was ready for them to take me to the hospital). I may be a special case though. I've seen a counselor and I was diagnosed with ADD that was dietary induced by what I was eating. I also have a very SEVERE wheat gluten allergy where my thyroid stops producing hormones and my emotions are completely out of control. I also found something you might like....I've learned on my journey that we need three things to be healthy and balanced....physical, mental and spiritual. People forget to realize how physically sick we can become by the types of thoughts that we have. Like when we become overly sad and depressed we can become so sluggish, and have no energy, create ulcers, deplete our adrenal glands which in turn causes thyroid problems, etc. I have this book that talks about these kinds of things. "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay. They have found that certain types of thoughts causes certain types of physical problems in the body. This is what it says about anxiety/panic attacks Anxiety/Panic Attacks probable cause: Not trusting in the flow or process of life. Affirmations (something you should meditate on): I love and approve of myself and I trust in the process of life. I am safe. Ask yourself....Do you trust in the flow and process of life? How can I change the way I feel about this, and get better? You only deserve the best in life. I hope that helps!
  16. @Ray What happens a lot with people that go into game design is they don't realize that playing video games and creating video games are two VERY different things. If you're an artist you're not going to be the guy sitting around doing Q & A testing....if you're the artist you're going to be designing and creating......3D modeling, texture mapping design, animation, level design.....concept art.... The people that excel in the game industry and do well successfully really love what they do....making video games! Yeah of course they play them...but they spend ALOT of time creating....not sitting in front of the computer playing Call of Duty, or something else. These people love working with 3D studio Max/Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Zbrush, Softimage XSI, Unreal Level Design Editor (what I was using when I went to school), etc. or whatever is currently industry standard. And the ones that did really well were certified in Max and Photoshop. The ones that do that best in the gaming industry are so passionate about what they do they live and breath this stuff....some of them don't even have gaming degrees...like Leo. They just have a killer online art portfolio that's available for employers to easily see on a personal website. As far as I know gaming and creating movies are similar in studies. I have a friend that is interested in working on animated movies so he is currently studying Maya and animation. Unless you're doing 2D animation which really isn't around much anymore. It would be cool if Leo made a video game!! (as long as he is following his heart/intuition, and he is happy, which he already knows how to do.). Life is so interesting when you make personal development a priority in your life....it can take you in so many different directions, and can turn your world upside down in a very positive way. I can not tell you how many different occupations I've held in my life anymore....lol...but they have all shaped me to be who I am, and helped me to have a life purpose right now. I don't regret anything that I've done. I am content and in love with myself.
  17. @Gladius When you mean red spots....do mean like a skin rash....like eczema? I have a TON of food allergies and I can tell you first hand that dairy caused rashes all over my body. And specifically when I was eating diary I noticed that when I stressed out I would have really severe flair ups and couldn't stop scratching making my eczema rashes worse! I would get these rashes on my hands (in and around my fingers) in my 20's and when I was a kid I got diaper rashes, and knee rashes, as well as on the back of my elbows and my legs in my teenager years. When I eat a ton of salt or dairy I notice I have mucus build up and it's hard for me to breathe. So I understand where you are coming from. I have one of those exercise breathing machines that you get from the hospital. I can not explain the multitude of a difference I had in breathing in this machine after a few days of taking dairy out of my diet. Many people don't realize that our bodies need balance in three different areas to be healthy....physical, mental and spiritual. Physical obviously is a possible allergy...but there is a mental aspect you may want to look into here. I have a book called "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay that talks about our mental thoughts/feelings can effect our physical health.... Have you noticed any of the following thought patterns in your life? (listed below as probable causes) This is what it says about Urticaria (Hives) Pg 177 Urticaria (Hives) Probable Cause: Small, hidden fears, Mountains out of molehills. New Thought Pattern: I bring peace to every corner of my life. pg 195 Rash Probable Cause: Irritation over delays, Babyish way to get attention. New Thought Pattern: I love and approve of myself. I am at peace with the process of life. pg 166 Eczema Probable Cause: Breathtaking antagonism. Mental Eruptions New Thought Pattern: Harmony and peace, love and joy surround me and indwell me. I am safe and secure.
  18. I used to get panic attacks all the time in my mid 20's and they were correlated with my diet....especially when I ate a ton of salt or white processed sugar. When I changed my diet and ate cleaner they were gone. Ice water usually shocks my system and calms me down, as well as putting ice on my wrists and neck and ankles (pressure points). It's always worked great with my panic attacks. I love the slow breathing because it slows down your heart rate, especially when I try to breath as slowly as I can....it works pretty quickly for me.
  19. @Leo Gura They have a "float tank" place here in Virginia. I couldn't stand the smell and the crazy blue lighting they had every where....I felt like I was having a panic attack. lol. Being in an enclosed space in pitch dark is weird too! I'm glad I wasn't missing anything!! Thanks for your insight. Meditating outside is great. I love hearing the birds chirping and being underneath a tree on a warm summer day. It just feels so natural to me.
  20. @quantum @ajasatya Since I mentioned crystals and that they have healing properties I thought you might want to check this out. When I was in California last week I went to see a Reiki practitioner for additional healing to deal with my dad's passing. She used this really cool mat that you can sleep on that is made of amethyst. It's called a biomat. I definitely noticed some changes right away. lol I'm thinking about purchasing one for myself to use on my bed and to use on my massage table to do reiki and hypnosis treatments. It's a actually a medical device with research and statistics to back up the qualities of amethyst. This is so fricken cool!!! lol http://www.biomat.com/ The BioMat: Relieves minor muscle pain in areas where applied Increases blood circulation in areas where applied Reduces stress and fatigue Soothes and relaxes Eases minor joint pain, and stiffness Supports the immune system Improved sleep (if associated with pain relief) Reduced inflammation (where applied) Increased tissue oxygen (due to increased circulation where applied) Temporary relief of Minor muscular back pain Temporary relief of sprains and strains Temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain and stiffness Temporary relief of joint pain associated with arthritis Temporary relief of muscle spasms Temporary increase of local circulation where applied Relaxation of muscles Promotes relaxation by application of heat Promotes restful sleep for those with occasional sleeplessness
  21. @pluto I have an old friend that actually had the pleasure of meeting "OKRAW", the guy that is shooting the youtube video you provided above. He is very knowledgeable about gardening.
  22. @pluto I love Annette Larkins. She has some great tutorial DVDS on health and diet. They are apart of my personal library.
  23. I have a kundalini yoga class that I attend periodically and I love it. And I'm very susceptible to kundalini energy more than most people because I work with Reiki. The Kundalini breathing exercises really do balance me out as well as my chakras. Usually when I go to my kundalini yoga classes my instructor plays the Tibetian singing bowls and sends us Reiki energy. This is turn makes the effects from the kundalini yoga stronger. Not to be weird or freak anyone out but people in my class as well as myself have experienced seeing colored flames when our eyes are closed. The colored flames is energy being sent to the body, and some people interpret them as our guardian angel entities sending reiki energy to the body. I've also seen my third eye while doing kundalini yoga. I saw this gigantic horse eye when I closed my eye and it really scared the crap out of me!!! And it wasn't a guided visualization yoga class to give me the intent that this gigantic eye would be right there staring at me. And that day when I was in class I wasn't the only student that saw the same thing, and my yoga teacher referred to it as the eye of God.
  24. @JustinS I've been on the 80/10/10 Raw Vegan diet on and off for several years. And I used it to reverse my ovarian cysts and thyroid problems. The thing is that everyone has their own special dietary needs. No two people are alike. You can see that a lot with allergies especially. I'm on a few raw vegan groups on facebook and a lot of people swear that this diet works! I've seen some pretty miraculous before and after photos. I've looked at my photos before and after being on the diet for months....there is definitely a remarkable difference in my body. I was so puffy and bloated on an American Standard Diet and when I ate vegan the puffiness in my face went away and I lost all of the weight without exercise. I noticed for me personally when I ate more salads I had more energy....more so than fruit. Maybe I needed more mineral/vitamins that were present in vegetables??? I noticed when I ate too much vegan protein and fat I would get sick and be prone to urinary tract infections....but maybe that's just me. I've been on this diet for a few months straight with no cheating, and while on vacation last week I felt extremely weak and had to revert back to eating animal protein. I felt better but it was awkward for me and led me to a lot of confusion. I started eating huge portions of animal protein but didn't have the urinary tract infections that I would from vegan sources. I'm not sure if it's going to be a permanent dietary change or a temporary one with animal protein at the moment. I'm going to give my body the nutritional value that it needs. The common problem with going vegan is getting enough vitamin b12. For me supplements don't work as well as the real deal which does make it difficult. I can tell you when I ate cleaner and was vegan I felt an expansion of my consciousness. I felt better, and my mental processes and thinking were clearer. I thought it was worth it.
  25. @BeginnerActualizer I have a bachelors degree in video game design and worked in the field for a year before the economy crashed in 2008. I agree with Leo. Nothing is good or bad but the personal value you give something. It's like a knife....are you cutting your steak and vegetables or are you stabbing someone with it? The same with video games! I used to have an extreme addiction to video games when I was younger and used it as a coping mechanism because I was so antisocial and didn't get along with other people. I would use it to cover up my problems and not deal with them head on like you would in personal development. Now when I play video games I usually play it as a form of entertainment if friends come over and very sparingly. ...like maybe once a week. Two very different perspectives on video games. The key is the emotions, thoughts and any childhood vows that may be behind the actions/addiction that you have. Do you allow video games to control your life? Do you use video games as an emotional crutch? I don't regret going into gaming. I learned a lot, had fun, and met a lot of very interesting people in the field. Including Rob Pardo the head game designer from WOW, and Andrew Jones who worked on Metroid, Square Enix people, etc. At the time when I was in the field...as a woman....I felt out of place. I would go to the Austin Game Conference and be the only girl there that was interested in the gaming side of things as most women worked in human resources, or they were a booth babe! lol etc. I didn't stay long in the field because of the hardships of working in gaming and the economy. There was this huge survey done by the International Game Developers Association that talked about how many of the game designers were leaving in their early 30's and going into other lucrative fields because they were so over worked....long hours, working holidays because of milestone deadlines from publishers etc. At that age people want to settle down, have relationships, get married, have kids....and at that time in the gaming industry that's what the life style was. I don't know what is now, since I've been so out of the loop. Hopefully things have gotten better. There is nothing wrong with working in the gaming field. If it is your life purpose to make video games, by all means go for it. Life is too short not to do something that you love. But usually when you study video games you are working for someone else....there really is no creativity involved because you are doing something based off the needs of the game being created. Unless you start your own business and make your own like Leo is stating. But still .... even if you make video games for another company and you love it...what does it really matter?
