Enlightenment is the last lesson of life, there is nothing more to learn, you are unnecessarily hanging around. You have learnt the lesson—that was the purpose of life—so life starts losing contact with the person. -

They have enjoyed everything. They have enjoyed the purity of individuality; now they have to enjoy the disappearing of individuality. To go beyond enlightenment is to go beyond individuality and to become universal. -

Those who become enlightened, encounter insanity during their spiritual journey but they face it and try to increase awareness. -

He is correct, ego is needed because the true self is not known. Journey from ego to true self is very arduous. A great fear and a great confusion, a great chaos is bound to happen. One has to pass through such chaos, that is part of spiritual growth. When you start moving inwards, you start falling into an emptiness, and great fear arises, the fear of going mad, the fear of losing your identity. There is no shortcut to it, and those who seek shortcuts are bound to be deceived by somebody. No society allows it to happen, because the real self is dangerous. Once a man knows his real self, he will live according to his light. He no longer belongs to the mob psychology. If he can move in the society like an actor on the stage, only then he can adjust in society. -

@Stoica Doru Enlightenment is a simple realization that everything is as it should be. That is the definition of enlightenment: everything is as it should be, everything is utterly perfect as it is. It is the understanding that all is good, that all is beautiful – and it is beautiful as it is. Unless we accept everything as it is, we can't enter into state of meditation. This can be a device so that we can relax completely and prepare space for meditation to happen. Still I can't decide everything is really perfect as it should be or this acceptance is a tool for our spiritual growth. -

Jesus when he was crucified. He was probably only 33 years old. His crucifixion neither helped Jesus nor people around him. -

Buddha talked every day for forty-two years, and he was saying, 'Don't steal, don't lie, don't kill.' He wanted to change people. If 'everything is as it should be' , Buddha was stoned, abused, may be he deserved some good spanking too. Jesus was crucified, and he complained and cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” (My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?). He was not finding everything perfect ! Everything is happening according to rules of the nature but everything is not perfect, so enlightened people don't sit silently, they preach us. -
Hot women are dangerous, ugly women are good - they have to be good. Whenever a woman is hot she need not care about being nice. It is enough to be hot, why she should be nice too?

Meditation has to spread all over your life. Whatsoever you do, do meditatively. Walk meditatively, eat meditatively.

God wanted only a stupid Adam, a stupid Eve. It is because of their disobedience that all civilization, science, art, everything else has become possible. If they had not disobeyed, we would have been still naked in the Garden of Eden chewing grass. -
I agree with you but few are exception, in east many genius become spiritual.

Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden, but all these animals, birds, millions of species, how did they come out of the of the Garden of Eden? -
You must be doing something non-meditative during that period. If you meditate for an hour and remain non-meditative remaining twenty-three hours, you will not experience any results.

If one keeps the doors closed, due to the fear, he does so at the cost of not attaining divinity. Fear is one of the doors from where one enters into one's being. So, don't ignore, don't escape, tremble with fear, face it. -

The experience of bliss not only does it make you beautiful, it suddenly transforms the whole world. The whole world becomes beautiful because the world reflects you, it is a mirror. If you look at the world and feel everything is old, it shows you are not meditative. -

For the outside world, science is a valid approach. Unless science accepts meditation as a valid method of inquiry, science and spirituality will not meet. -
Prabhaker replied to ChadT's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The very methodology of science prevents it from going in. It can go only outwards, it can study only objectively. Meditation is a knack, is certainly not a science, because it has no fixed methods. -

Suicide can be used as an experiment in willpower, but normally people who commit suicide don't do it for that reason. For example, in the Jaina (Jainism) tradition death (Santhara) has also been used to strengthen willpower. Phowa, is the "the practice of conscious dying" in Vajrayāna Buddhism. -

Prophesied events during the Kali Yuga A discourse by Markandeya in the Mahabharata identifies some of the attributes of Kali Yuga. In relation to rulers, it lists: Rulers will become unreasonable: they will levy taxes unfairly. Rulers will no longer see it as their duty to promote spirituality, or to protect their subjects: they will become a danger to the world. People will start migrating, seeking countries where wheat and barley form the staple food source. "At the end of Kali-yuga, when there exist no topics on the subject of God, even at the residences of so-called saints and respectable gentlemen of the three higher varnas (gunaor temperament) and when nothing is known of the techniques of sacrifice, even by word, at that time the Lord will appear as the supreme chastiser." (Srimad-Bhagavatam (2.7) With regard to human relationships, Markandeya's discourse says: Avarice and wrath will be common. Humans will openly display animosity towards each other. Ignorance of dharma will occur. People will have thoughts of murder with no justification and will see nothing wrong in that. Lust will be viewed as socially acceptable and sexual intercourse will be seen as the central requirement of life. Sin will increase exponentially, while virtue will fade and cease to flourish. People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs. Gurus will no longer be respected and their students will attempt to injure them. Their teachings will be insulted, and followers of Kama will wrest control of the mind from all human beings. Brahmins will not be learned or honored, Kshatriyas will not be brave, Vaishyas will not be just in their dealings, and the varna system will be abolished. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kali_Yuga -
