@Aquarius This might help: https://www.amazon.com/Freedom-Guilt-Blame-Finding-Self-Forgiveness-ebook/dp/B012BR35BU/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8 You feel you don't deserve to be happy? You lack self-compassion and is perfectionistic about you and your behavior and performance? Self-esteem issue. Self-esteem issue too? Deep down you hold the belief that you're worthless and undeserving of happiness and love? and you often get distracted from those thought's but they have an ability to visit again and again?

@Mighty Mouse Agree. It will probably be good for me if it dissappears. Definitely addictive.

I'm more conflicted the more I think about this. For example I often give a thumbs up so people see that I read their response when I don't feel the need to write back. It also gives me a sense that I might not be completely deluded with some of the things I write. I also sometimes scroll through a page and look at reputation points that sticks out to see what's likely more worth the time to read. Lazy, yes. But who really reads every response all the time?

When I think about life purpose and what I think would feel the most meaningful, it's helping people or animals. I mean really help and make an impact. To increase their happiness. Change lifes. Not just give some sense of pleasure here and there. But when I get more specific and wonder how this would look in practice it doesn't look that appealing. Like "maybe I can do this... no that doesn't sound so appealing." "What about this...hmm no." For example the idea of helping people get out of depression feels meaningful. But when I think "ok what are some ways I can do this.. Becoming a therapist? No.. A life coach? no... Etc.. I have more interest in other professions but it's more meaningless really. Should I pursue and go for what I'm really interested in instead and play on my strenghts? Anyone relate?

How long have this so called free will existed? When you were born? When you were in the womb? When you were a sperm? At which point in time of evolution did organisms get free will? What is it exactly that is free? How can there be something that is totally free and independent and can act even thou nothing is causing it to do so? Imagine how something else just happened for no reason, Like a leaf dancing in the wind, but this time there is no wind. A cup falling from a table even thou noone pushed it. Your blood circulating without the heart pumping. It doesn't make sense.

First thing that came to mind when I read "probing" was this: (maybe someone get's it) I'm so low conscious... -
They really go hand in hand. I think the root cause is low self-esteem and yeah lack of self-love which @LaucherJunge talked about. Btw @LaucherJunge you read shadows before dawn?

I think it's: Resistance to what is. We have an idea of how reality "should be" and compare that to "actual reality" and when it doesn't match up it creates a conflict in us. Resistance. I'm not sure if wanting is bad? I guess you can wan't something and be detached from it's outcome. If you get it great. If you don't that's ok too. But when "needing" it, it's like you tell yourself your happiness is depending on it. You imagine yourself in the future getting it and compare this images to your present situation. Creating a false belief and feeling that something is lacking/missing. -

Maybe he is a psychopath, maybe he isn't. I don't know. But these quick assumptions and closed mindedness of yours isn't gonna take you far. -
