@Wicked Build a daily meditation practice. List all the things you are grateful for in life. Build a rich life for yourself. (one in which you have high quality friends/ hobbies and an amazing life purpose) Self-actualize by planning how to, and taking the approach necessary to get there.

@YaNanNallari All suffering is illusory (meaning it's fairy dust), and is created by the mind. This happens when people associate themselves with their mind, and begin to believe that the thoughts it generates is them. If you detach yourself from the mind and thoughts, suffering disappears. To pursue this you could pick up a daily meditation practice become mindful of these emotions (meaning you watch them, but don't judge, or react to them), and also read the power of now by Eckhart Tolle.

The Monk replied to MiracleMan's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@MiracleMan Just because you become enlightened, it doesn't mean all your bad habits suddenly disappear. You can be enlightened and be a drug dealer . But does this mean it's good for you? Obviously not. That's what would likely happen if you half-ass your own self-development on the spiritual path, because you would be keeping the bad habits, rather than getting rid of them. -
@Vaishnavi You don't need anyone to fulfill you in life. You just want someone to. All Religions are paths to enlightenment, however the path has become covered with mist, as the true deep rooted meaning that these Religions aided you to find, has been distorted, misinterpreted, and manipulated for the benefit of other egos. Don't give a damn about criticism, but you should have the ability to make a distinction between harsh/ rude criticism and constructive criticism. Reality operates in a way that just distracts them from finding their true deep rooted truth, and they operate in a way that fuels their low consciousness and appeals to the emotional weasel within them. Do the emotionally difficult thing in every situation to ace life. To have an amazing life, you have to go against what the majority of society does. But, you will be labeled 'weird'.

@CuteCornDog Sorry but isn't the answer obvious? You just said you have a crazy older brother. So Do you live your life out with this brother? or become financially independent and cut him off/ spend less time with him? To the point where you are no longer being provoked? I wonder which is the correct answer, hmm..... Also, develop a daily meditation habit. And, become mindful of the anger when it arises, a good video that helped me out a lot is the one below, now I rarely get angry. Since, I've put what Rupert said in to application.

@Ryan_047 This video explains it well. Use the questions this master displays whenever any negative emotion arises. Because, although he is talking about anger, the technique he uses can be applied to any negative emotion. This is a technique to stop the emotion. But also do self-inquiry when meditating Leo has a video on this. It will give you profound insights and eventually end all suffering. When you find the truth.

@Ryan_047 I don't just chat mumbo jumbo. I practice what I preach and only give information that really works and is useful, if I can't I usually won't reply to a topic here on the forum that I know little or nothing about. The person who showed me this technique was a friend of mine who also has panic attacks. And, ever since I feel like my anxiety and stress levels reduced by 80%. Also, my friend who has panic attacks is considering getting therapy to dissolve the cause of the attack, I would suggest you do the same, friend. Good luck!

Which is the healthier option out of the two for cooking regularly? Provide me with the pros and cons of each please. # Also, I've been hitting the gym a lot recently and ensure that I lose weight and get healthy/ lean. Hopefully you can apply the knowledge you say to my life and detail me of how it will help. Thank you!

The Monk replied to Blue is the sea's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Blue is the sea These are the channels I would recommend, as they have helped me greatly whilst on my spiritual journey: Rupert Spira's channel Mooji's channel. Adyshanti's channel. Echkart Tolle's channel. Leo's channel Sadhguru's channel. Good Luck with whatever you are trying to achieve from seeing these! -
@2000 I agree with Michael overindulging in too much can later lead from one activity which was first a interesting/fun to perform, becoming a real disgust and chore. My rule is, eat to the point where you are no longer hungry, this is your body's way of telling you how much you should eat. Calorie counting is too time consuming for me personally, since I have bigger fish to fry. Good luck! Regardless of the choice you make!

@Shir Firstly, no man is going to ever fulfill you, were are not living in the airy fairy movie where you need to have a second half to you, you're not ready for a relationship until you realize you don't need one. Also, do you really need that quick fix of stimulating sex or can you be happy without it? If the answer is no, then I'm sorry, but you then there should be a real urgency for you to restructure your life. Also, this is a great opportunity for growing yourself, as you can be mindful of the urge to have sex (this means you observe it but don't judge it), and overtime it will go away . Sex can a very intimate way of expressing ones one true love to another you authentically love, or just a desperate, neurotic, needy love in which you are seeking salvation and fulfillment from external sources that later turns to pain. Which one of these it is, is known only to you. Make your decision about what to do dependent of that. Good Luck! Regardless of the path you take.

@Ryan_047 all suffering is illusory as it is created by our minds this is both physical and psychological, due to the false identification and association we create with it. So, to eliminate anxiety become mindful of the anxiety you experience. This means you don't judge it, you simply observe it, and contemplate and question it in a self-inquiry manner. To go into this further read the power of now by Echkart Tolle. Good Luck! And Chill out!

The Monk replied to Amit's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Amit There's a huge problem revolving around the use of the word god. Even spiritual teachers attempt to use it less and less now because of the huge illusion it creates. When the vast majority of people think of 'god' they mainly think of a male idol that should be worshiped and is watching is from above the clouds. But this causes leads us further away from the path of spirituality as it creates a egoistic illusion of god and makes us believe that we can never be something like that, and he will always be superior to us mere mortals. And so we should have the obligation to worship him. Which is why the beauty of most religions has been lost, as they too were a pathway to enlightenment. But, if you are heading down the spiritual path you will find that god is your inner Buddha (known as your awakened-self is god). However, what you will find when you look into this more is that more information is contradictory and paradoxical, due to the culture and tradition influencing our minds decisions. So, to put it simply find it out yourself by meditating daily, because god can be understood partially at a conceptual level. But, not fully understood unless it has been experienced by the deep rooted truth that lies within us all. Good luck! Knowing what god is regardless of what you currently think. -
@phoenix666 Yeah, I'm sure...

Maybe his next video is going to be about the importance of taking long holidays .

@Shakazulu Hey man, since you're a student I hope this will help you greatly. There is a rule used by students who study in Cambridge it's the equivalent of Harvard University for you in the US, it's called the 8 hour rule. This means that in order to study effectively to get top grades, but also have time to grow yourself you can spend 8 hour sleeping, 8 hours working, and 8 hours doing whatever you want each day! Which seems pretty chill to me to be honest. The cool thing about this is that you can apply this to any type of full-time education you are in as this rule ranges all the way from High School students to University level students. Good luck, regardless of the choice you make!

@Elton you can DO IT! Become the Hero of your own life! I believe in you as well as everyone here on the forum!!! ASCEND, GO BEYOND, AND BECOME 110% GREATER than your current self Elton!!!!!

@Scholar That's right! In all religions some form of abstention must be made to grow oneself spirituality. Although, it differs from religion to religion it seems like they've all caught onto the same idea. But, in order to grow yourself physically and psychologically all doesn't have to be given up. It's fine to watch a movie from time to time, but it's the attachment that really destroys lives.

@Key Elements Ayyyy, I make them as well. As a matter of fact I just finished chugging mine down the frozen blueberries make the drink super cold though, and give me a slight cough in the morning. But, more importantly good job! And Keep making them! What I've noticed since I started drinking his smoothies is: I feel more energetic. My body feels lighter and more smooth when doing physical tasks My cognitive ability to perform is enhanced. I feel happier. But, I get small coughs, because of how cold it is. I feel like my strength is declining. Also, why don't you use almond milk instead of milk?

@AilinKyung It's all well explained in this video.

@Igor82 It completely depends on you. Do you authentically think that doing X diploma will fuel your true authentic passion? Or will X online business? Judging by that answer alone, you should have an answer to your own question.

The Monk replied to Max_V's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Max_V thanks man! I'll put this in my secret stash for later. Psssst don't tell anyone about it.... -
@Serotoninluv You forgot the pro about being more in touch with being, by raising the quality of your consciousness. And like Buddha explained 'It's the end of all suffering'. However, that only applies if you find the forgotten deep rooted truth within you. Which requires approximately 10,000 hours of meditation work to be first done.

The Monk replied to zenjen's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@zenjen Good job! Keep pushing forward and learning more experiencing more of this magical universe we live in. The insights and experiences are infinite, so remember that. But remain mindful of when the profound experience ends. Because that's when the ego begins to backlash and come back stronger and weird things MAY start happening. Also sell the damn gun. But remain on the path and you will have the ability to continually come back to this godly experience. And experience it for greater lengths of time, than you already do!
