@Samuel Garcia I do A levels, and do Economics, Politics (Which I hate, especially debating it's damn chimperry, but the knowledge it gives is good) and History.

@Christian I'm 17, don't worry about it. Thanks

@Christian But, the problem is I have exams, in May. I've got a few months left before these very important exams take place, which is what will determine which University I go to. Last year I got burnout, but I suppose that was more procrastination rather than working and don't know my limits. And even if I experiment I think it's too late or too risky because, I don't want to burnout before these very important exams, as there is five months left till my real exams. What do I do? I do hard determination sitting meditation for 30 mins daily also.

@Christian what about the 40 hour rule? I know people who work 60 hours a week to get straight A's? And I think I should do the same.

Personally I found this very useful. If you want to read self help books quickly and still understand them listen to an audiobook version, and 2x the speed and it should take you one to two days to extract all the useful information from the self help book you are reading. This is how to read books quickly

Hey guys, I'm a student, and I tell my teachers how hard I wish to work. I want to work 7 days a week and take a mini vacation every 3 months. But, my teachers say don't do this or you will burn out ( feel tired, and unmotivated, which will result in me failing) to be honest I did burnout before my exams last term and resorted to simply playing video games. However, as I now know have an amazing life purpose and intrinsic motivation in order to change the world, as well as a habit to inspire myself everyday, I doubt my motivation will fade away and I will get 'burnt out'. It seems to me like this is just simply a myth created by the lazy or unmotivated individuals with no life purpose. Is this true? If I love doing what I do I won't 'burnout' will I? (I want to be the very best I potentially could, as I want to accomplish big things, and change the world for the better) What would you recommend?

During a period of contemplation I realised this within my own religion, which suggests that a person should perform a ritual of fasting for 30 days. Which through interpretation is very similar to hard determination sitting, which is a form of meditation Leo created a video on. But what, I also realised is that the majority of society doesn't realise this. They simply focus continuously on the interpretations of god, rather than on the true path to enlightenment, which is embroidered deep within the religion. Those of you with other religions, am I wrong? But if I am not, please list your or any other religion and the path to enlightenment within it. I was referring to Islam in the previous paragraph.

The Monk replied to John's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@John attempt to keep your back as straight as possible whilst meditating, or else you may begin to feel sleepy. This is what was definitely causing my sleepiness after meditating, which I prevented from happening by sitting up against a wall whilst meditating. Try and apply this to your meditation, and tell me how it goes!
