  1. @Consilience life purpose is not egoic. It’s just that, when I follow my life purpose, I find myself planning ahead, and not following that Voice. Planning ahead is the egoic act. You are in the illusion that there is a future. If my Voice tells me to research how to open a business, or gain some skill, I will effortlessly follow that. That is the clear mind.
  2. @Joseph Maynor Byron Katie can go anywhere with this:
  3. @Joseph Maynor Byron Katie was eating a cake in her mother’s funeral. People demonised her for this. Believe it or not, it’s possible to be directly conscious of this heaven no matter what situation you’re in. The radical stories of people who are doing The Work is coming out. If you’re interested in living this truth, The Work is your best bet. We’re not talking decades, we’re talking months/years.
  4. It hasn’t come to me to commit suicide. I follow the Voice within myself without resistance.
  5. @Key Elements Other people are not suffering. That’s just a fact. Even if they tell you they are suffering, in reality they are not.
  6. @Key Elements the only work that needs to be done is in your mind. If you don’t see reality as perfect, it’s because you live from the unclear mind. All of reality is heaven. If Hell exists, then it is heaven.
  7. @Key Elements It’s not the ego I’m focused with. It’s the mind. The clear mind is unattached from its thoughts. It doesn’t believe them so it isn’t manipulated by them. The unclear mind believes the thoughts, and so is controlled by them. Negative emotions are the result of attaching to your thoughts. The clear mind will never sustain an ego. But it’s a lot more than just being without an ego.
  8. When I say “Enlightenment,” I mean your latter definition. I have no interest in just an awakening .
  9. Where do you think I’m wrong? I’m willing to hear your thoughts on this topic.
  10. @cetus56 they were examples. The only thing stopping you from being happy in any field of life is the unclear mind. @DrewNows there are two types of “mind.” They are the clear mind and the unclear mind. Both minds of course have thoughts, but the clear mind does not attach to them. They are like air just passing through. The unclear mind is manipulated by thoughts because it is attached to them and believes those thoughts are real.
  11. @Key Elements That’s not what I meant. If somebody says, I love science, and I don’t want to do history, you can know this person is not very integrous. Why don’t you like history just as much as science? The answer is the ego. Of course, you have to choose one. But you wouldn’t mind doing either.
  12. If you are an integrous person, you will of course work based on what you are best at doing. But you will not have any “special interests.” All fields are equal.
  13. Trying to develop your skills, interest and abilities is already moving away from integrity. There are no special interests and abilities for you. That is created by the mind. Trust that your integrity will take care of it. To the heart, all fields are equally interesting. They don’t exist!
  14. @VictorB02 The reason why cannabis connects you to your higher self, is that when you’re in it, you hit the space between thoughts. You’re not consumed by your thoughts (as you usually are). But cannabis is only temporary. So the question is, how can I detach myself from my thoughts (connect to higher self) in a more permanent way. And those ways do exist. Are you willing to put in the effort.
  15. @Aakash Leo’s recent humourous nature only shows how much he is growing
  16. That’s exactly what I’m saying. ‘Doership’ is an illusion. With enlightenment, that illusion will be realised. I’m not saying that you should sit in your couch and wait till you die. I’m saying, leave all doership to your integrity. There is a natural force deep within you that can live your life for you. For example, I’m sitting in my couch. A thought appears ‘Brush your teeth’. Then, your body moves effortlessly by itself to the bathroom and brushes its teeth. It’s called effortless action. The heart is very intelligent. If you need to pay your bills, it will move you to get a job. There’s nothing that “you” need to do. In fact, “you” need to die first. Notice that for your integrity to awaken, “you” must be doing nothing. If you’re driving yourself to do things, how can you live from the heart.
  17. That is exactly the illusion. There is nothing that needs to be done. Reality is perfect right now! Literally! This isn’t some neo-advaita bullshit, this is real. As for interests, there is no such thing. Any interest you have is egoic. Why would you have interest in one thing but not the other? Everything is equal to the clear mind. As for talents and abilities, these could be learned and mastered in most cases. Unless you are only willing to use whatever talent you already have. Here is the question: If there is nothing to be done, why will you follow your life purpose? Please answer this question.
  18. The original statement you write is “He did this to me.” The three turnarounds are “I did this to me”, “I did this to him” and “He did not do this to me.” The Work is never about judging others, but seeing how they are never the cause of your problems; you yourself are. Btw, the turnarounds are not absolute. They are very useful for ordinary people stuck in unconsciousness, but once you get highly developed, you can discard even them. You’ll know when that time comes.
  19. What do you mean by this? It always is. The Work has clearly shown me that. Why are you afraid to open yourself up to this?
  20. @Leo Gura you seem rather dogmatic about this maybe the techniques you found just aren’t the best. When you become a jack of all trades, you overlook some very powerful techniques. I went very deep with this technique and what I discovered is astonishing. Fyi, I’ve tried all of the techniques that you have prescribed to us for several months each. I can see how it will take decades with those techniques. The problem with meditation and self-inquiry is that it is very mechanical. Most of the time will not be spent focusing on the technique. The Work is a non-mechanical technique. You must answer each of the questions right away. That’s why it’s so powerful.
  21. @Leo Gura I disagree when you say that results come after several years. I’ve been doing The Work for a few months, and I am permanently aware that the present moment is all that exists. I have completely detached from the mind’s idea of past and future. I have also lost major amount of ‘control’ of this body. It now feels to me like this body is moving on its own. Why do you insist that mastery takes a decades? With the way I’m going now, I’m sure to hit it in a few years.
  22. @cetus56 I’m not enlightened yet. Once I am, I’m out of here.
  23. @TheAvatarState You can’t lead your heart. Your heart leads you. Your heart will never have ‘something to do.’ There’s nothing to do. Your heart lives in a spontaneous ‘yes/no’ mode. The only time you will help somebody is when that person specifically asked for your help. Otherwise you just live your life following its instructions.
