  1. This is one thing that I disagree with Leo on. Reality is not infinite, rather the mind is infinite. What’s the difference? Well, reality can also exist beyond mind. And beyond mind, reality is just itself. It has no qualities. But the ‘material world’ is the mind. Everything you can know or understand is the mind. And that is infinite. Just a subtle difference I wanted to point out.
  2. “If you don’t do what you can’t do, there is no problem. But if you don’t do what you can do, you’re a disaster.” Sadhguru
  3. @FoxFoxFox I have a feeling you’ll be back soon.
  4. @Keef From my point of view, there’s not much you can do there. Libya is too big of a country for you to change. Even one organisation is too small to make any noticeable changes. Make your peace with the current state of the country, and find a smaller system which you can effect change in. You can still change the lives of hundreds or thousands of Libyans. It just won’t be the whole country.
  5. All understanding happens from the mind. Since infinity can only be understood, this tells you that infinity is a quality of the mind. Reality cannot be understood. If the mind and reality are the same thing, please explain to me how somebody can enter a state of no-mind. In that state, the mind ceases and reality continues. Remember that reality cannot cease, because by definition reality is what is true. Infinity as I understand it is a quality. And so is ‘God.’ So therefore they are just concepts. Even ‘Absolute’ is another concept, because it gives reality a quality, when it does not have any.
  6. Just curiousity my friend. That’s it.
  7. The mind is infinite, not being. Being has no quality. The reason why the ‘whom’ question is so effective, is because it takes the mind with it. What you’re left with is nothingness.
  8. Infinity is not actually real. If it was, you should be able to answer the question “to whom is it real to?”
  9. @Fishy This shows you that it is not obvious. It’s an interesting way of showing that nothing is true. If I state any statement, you can always ask ‘to whom is this true’? Since there is no one behind the scenes, the statement is not true for anybody, hence it isn’t true.
  10. Notice that 0 is itself a quality. When I say that reality has no qualities, I’m not talking about the number 0. To the mind, it appears as though reality is infinite. But that doesn’t make it so. Notice that you can never confirm infinity. By definition of infinity! You can only say that “it appears as though the mind is infinite.” The mind is a subset of reality. It is possible to erase the mind and keep reality, but not vice versa. For example, in a no-mind state, the mind ceases but reality continues.
  11. It’s unlikely. Government is so big after all.
  12. Consciousness and God are spiritual concepts created by the mind. Reality has no qualities. The formless has no qualities. So to say finite/infinite are both wrong. The mind is (or at least seems) infinite. But even that can’t be known.
  13. @seeking_brilliance Are you in a homosexual marriage? Just curious because your profile says you are male.
  14. The reality that the mind creates is imaginary. Reality without the mind is not imaginary. There can be reality without mind. For example, in a no-mind state.
  15. What about your video proposing 100 different policies? What was the point of that video, knowing that it will have close to no impact on government?
  16. I’m still wondering why so much time is being spent learning about this, when we all know that no one here will have any significant impact on something as big as Evangelism. Can someone help me understand the point of talking about any of this.
  17. I’m pretty sure that Rumi did not start Sufism. There are many Sufis who lived before Rumi.
  18. @ardacigin Rather than thinking of ‘getting enlightened’, try to think of it more as ‘realising that you’re already enlightened.’ This is a far more accurate terminology for me. For most practitioners, when they learn about enlightenment, they conjure up what they think enlightenment is, and they chase those ideas. But those ideas don’t exist, so they spend decades just chasing their tails. Enlightenment is not different from what you are experiencing now. Stop getting stuck in all those spiritual concepts. Forget about terms like infinity, god and consciousness. Focus on just your direct experience. This is enlightenment. Just realise that. Of course, I’m speaking from my POV. I don’t know if this will work for you.
  19. “Being aware” is a spiritual concept. It may be a good ladder for the spiritual seeker, but it must be dropped in the end.
  20. @Leo Gura Can I ask you a question? Do you take psychedelics legally or illegally?
  21. @mandyjw Byron Katie is a female version of the Buddha. Perhaps you should study her work.
  22. It’s true that hippies are the most happiest compared to the rest of the planet, but compared to egoless people, they are extremely miserable. Annihilating the self is a huge task, and hippies are very far from that destination. Perhaps it’s actually physically impossible for most of them.
  23. That probably didn’t happen. People like to make up all sorts of nonesense.
