  1. @Inliytened1 Also check out The Work of Byron Katie
  2. Rather the strong intention feeds the regular practices. If you have little desire, you will practice half-heartedly, ending up only with mediocre results. If on the other hand you have strong desire, you will practice very well, ending up with exceptional results.
  3. I highly doubt that they seriously want enlightenment. If they wanted it bad enough, they would get it.
  4. If you’re talking about complete ego dissolution, then the answer is no. All suffering comes to protect the ‘I’, but if that’s completely dead, then nothing but peace will arise within you.
  5. In recent blog videos, Leo is advocating that we try to understand the Absolute. But the problem is that the Absolute cannot be understood, because it is beyond mind. All spiritual concepts of the Absolute are not it. “The Absolute cannot be understood. Whatever you understand, you are not that.” Nisargadatta Maharaj
  6. I thought you said mind is finite.
  7. @Leo Gura “The knowledge ‘I am’ means: consciousness, God, Guru, etc. But you, the Absolute, are not that.” Nisargadatta Maharaj Case closed on this idea that neo-Advaita and Advaita are somehow different.
  8. @Leo Gura Perhaps you should tell us more about how to take psychedelics legally.
  9. By melting your ego. Embodiment of Love = Selflessness. Once you have no ego, you will be completely selfless, i.e. completely loving.
  10. @Leo Gura Are you just saying that everything in the universe is perfect? Is that what absolute Love means?
  11. @nowimhere “The question ‘Who am I?’ is not really meant to get an answer, the question ‘Who am I?’ is meant to dissolve the questioner.” Ramana Maharshi I would suggest you ask the question ‘who am I?’, and instead of searching for an answer, just wait for the answer to come to you. If you wait, silently and long enough, your identity will dissolve. ”God, Guru and Self are one and the same.” Ramana Maharshi
  12. Wrong. Byron Katie has talked about how she would, at random times, have her consciousness transferred to a building, and it would remain there for some time. She had similar experiences with seagulls, where her consciousness would just transfer to the seagull and remain for some time. And she did not take psychedelics. I understand that psychedelics are powerful, but please don’t discount meditation before you have done some research on it.
  13. @winterknight I’m going to side with you on this one. I know what you’re talking about. Leo has been tripped up by spiritual concepts, the most dangerous concepts there are. God, Love and Truth are just more thoughts. Once they are fully dissolved, what remains is just Reality itself, with no qualities. With that being said, aren’t you overreacting a little bit by storming off this forum. Just because Leo disagrees with you, doesn’t mean you can’t carry on preaching. I would suggest you ignore Leo and continue this thread.
  14. @Matt8800 Paranormal abilities can be very deceptive. There was a time when I really felt as though I could sense the future, and I decided to go to a random number generator, and I meditated until I got a number which I really felt will be the right number. I searched the number generator, and it was a completely different number. This broke some of my confidence in my abilities. Of course some confidence still remains, even though I’m still uncertain if my abilities will actually translate to the real world.
  15. Become a modern ascetic. Get a part time job, and a small apartment, and live your life meditating. You’ll probably earn enough to live by yourself.
  16. Leo just linked a video and titled the blog ‘aliens confirmed’. https://actualized.org/insights/aliens-confirmed But the video just showed a type of jellyfish spotted under water. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halitrephes. I’m pretty sure that they are not aliens, as they are a classified and known type of jellyfish. Would someone correct me if I’m wrong?
  17. You will live in God consciousness. Every second of your life will be with God.
  18. Another perspective to the question ‘what is the point of life?’ Byron Katie says that it is to undo every belief you have. Everything you think you know, unknow it. You will soon discover that this is in fact your whole world. You must unattach from every thought, even the one that says that something exists. What will you be left with? Nothing.
  19. But the Hitler issue was resolved. Yes it was painful, but without it would society be as conscious as it is today? And of course, we shouldn’t sit back and do nothing. But we also shouldn’t be too neurotic about results. If it can’t be done peacefully, then it shouldn’t be done. Helping people is what should be the aim, not fighting devilry. You do your best, and let Trump do what he does. Whatever Trump does is what should happen.
  20. Please do your research. According to Wikipedia, 1 in 20 females have been raped some time in their life, compared to just 1 in 71 males. This is common sense. Of course men prefer to rape women rather than other men. Both exist, but the rate of rape for women is far higher, and much more likely.
  21. Yes, in first world countries women formally have external equality (as far as I can see). But what about in informal settings. Many women are raped, molested and bullied sexually. How do you deal with those problems? That’s feminsm’s main goal (I think). I haven’t done much research in feminism, but it seems as though these are the problems being addressed.
  22. The more conscious you become, the less you worry about “results” because it really doesn’t matter that much. The solution to devilry is to just wait until that devilry is conquered by truth. The reason why devils are ruling today is because they should. This devilry you see today will be a necessary foundation for the higher consciousness of the future. Don’t be impatient about raising consciousness. Everything will happen in the perfect time.
