How to be wise

This is a book by Byron Katie. Most of us care about what others think about us. But this is the ego’s primary tool to stay alive. Once you realise that you don’t need other people’s love, you will start to live for yourself. Very important step for personal development.

@Preety_India Were you dating both at the same time.

You mean the boyfriend who cheated on you, abused you and told him you left. If I were you, I’d grab the first plane to Texas (or perhaps, Vegas!), and fill in that form as fast as I could. But still, you really can’t return to that guy. “Once a cheater, always a cheater” is a very accurate phrase.

@Preety_India You said in a previous post that you were going to live in Texas next year, and I’m assuming it’s because he was planning on marrying you. If the relationship ends, how will you move to the West?

@Leo Gura But you also said that the wisest sages live alone. Why is that? Is being alone better for consciousness work?

@Leo Gura Can you be in a relationship, and in the same time work on deepening your enlightenment? Because in that case, you have something to do.

@Leo Gura So the teachers who are in relationships are not furthering their enlightenment? They are not fully awake?

@Leo Gura How comes many spiritual teachers are in relationships? Are they also filling a hole?

I use binaural beats during meditation. Why would that be a problem?

@Raze Yes the ego uses language as a main tool to stay alive and stay identified. Once you have sufficiently melted your ego, words will affect you much less. What once offended you could now sound amusing. This is the power of consciousness work.

I mean in spiral dynamics.

Corey Wayne talks about spirituality, and love in his videos, and a few minutes later he bashes Obama and Hillary in favour of Trump. Very confusing.

@Fkdel God is the sum total of everything in existence. You and the aliens together!

@krockerman There is a difference between desire and needs. ‘Desire’ is actually a positive thing. You want to change reality to something else. ‘Needs’ is not being okay with reality as it is. Focus on dissolving your ‘needs’ rather than ‘desires’.

@Muhammad Jawad There is a difference between the concept of ‘I am God’ and the actual truth. This may surprise you, but they are nothing alike. Completely different. Unless you’ve experienced it, the label ‘I am God’ will only delude you. It’s best to get rid of all labels. Once you’re empty of concepts, you will experience it.
