Yeah, totally agree on that. PS: There should be a +1 Like button on this forum to show I liked a comment without making this unuseful post -
I used to scape with videogames and food all my life. Recently, I uninstalled all videogames from my computer, because I can get really really addicted to them. Now, when I need to escape, I go to a cafeteria, order a coffe and read a personal development book, or I surf searching interesting topics. Or I watch a movie. I avoid series because they make them to be addictive, leaving each episode on a high note for you to want more. Also, if I binge eat, I may eat chocolate 90% or a protein bar instead of a sneakers bar.

I really liked this video, somehow when she is angry she is more natural. In her other videos she seem a bit weird, but after knowing about her difficult past, I like her more.

I have read them recently in Integral Life Practice, the AQAL integral framework is a model where you can be a high levels of spiritual development as the Buddha was, but in his relations to others he could be much lower. But they also state that sometimes the development in one subject (or quadrant) can improve the rest, which I agree.

Maybe he "losed" his awakening state temporarily under a heavy and long distress. I didn't know that Christ said those painful words, feelsbadman.jpg. I thought he died in perfect equanimity or something like that. Like that vietnamese monk who burned himself to death. -
Yes, in fact it is one of his most famous videos:

Somehow I find funny how Leo is always trying to communicate and trying to put into word something that can't be talked about. Maybe he needs to start talking like Osho or Eckhart Tolle, with spaces between words. Because the spaces are the more similar to the truth than any word.

Thanks Leo, I was considering taking the substance with some kind of guidance. I don't get why they give people such high doses of the substance in these ceremonies that they can't even control their bodies, sometimes they just go unconscious. -
I support Scholar suggestion, stop 100% masturbating and porn, this will help a lot. I don't think you have porn induced erectyle disfunction, but stopping masturbating and porn will increase your libido and help you push through any anxiety you have.

Best place to go is a shopping mall, the more populated area, the better. Avoid small towns and places where people may know you, at least when you are starting. In a mall there should be some girls walking around shopping by themselves, but you can also approach groups. As long you are not rude, it's ok to approach a girl to meet her. Even if they are not interested, 99% of them will be ok to have a guy approaching them in a open and polite manner. Girls love to be loved, and they can say "no thanks" and continue their way.

You could take a look on The Multi-Orgasmic Man. It requires a lot of exercise of the pubococcygeus muscle, but you will be very generously rewarded for your efforts. Not only because you'll last longer and have more pleasure than ever, but also because you'll heal your body and gain a lot of energy with this non-ejaculatory orgasms.

Who said that an alpha male doesn't care about others? Bill Gates, Martin Luther King, Obama, Abraham Lincoln... In fact, sometimes beta males are just people pleasers because they want to get something in return.

In the two last years I went into green in relationships and my sex life suffered a lot. I just wanted to be open and thought that good relationships are about equality. Yes, there is an equality about the value of the people involved, but not about the equality of what they bring to the table. Now I'm trying to step into yellow, being David Deida my main guide. One main component in relationships is openness, yes, but you can open yourself in different ways, and the way you have to open with a girl is embracing your masculine side. Relationships is not only about what you get, but also what you give, and as a guy you have a masculine gift that she wants, and of course, she has got her femenine gift which you want to wake up in her. A lot of what Pickup Gurus teach is useful, but I'll try to stick with what really feels authentic for me. Looking in retrospective, this change was necessary because I was dating girls almost just for ego and validation, and after several years, this wasn't fullfilling me anymore. There's still a lot of orange in me and there is a part of me that wants that validation, but not as much as before.

I agree, very good post Emerald. (I thought there was a +1 Like button in this forum, where is it?)

I didn't like that book at all. Self-steem is such a fucked up concept. Self-steem hardens the walls of your ego and build more distance from other people. If you are in a spiritual path, read Self-Compassion by Kristin Neff. It will resonate way more with you. It will build a healthier view of yourself that doesn't depend on any skill or feature.

From my moral point of view, I think it is not rude as long as you are as polite as the situation demands. This requires social calibration and sometimes you will cross the line until you learn. Some girls will get pissed even if you are polite, that's unavoidable. But that's their problem. You are a human being with relationship needs and you are trying to fullfill them in an acceptable manner. You should try to be respectful to everybody, and that includes you and your human natural needs. That being said, I'm trying to be better at this, because I care too much about others opinion and always try to not disturb anyone, so I'm aslo learning.

This happened to me with a lot of the guys I went out for partying. With many of them I just met them before entering the clubs and I didn't know much about them. But sometimes I met them before going to the club, for example, for having dinner. After meeting them a few times outside the club, relationships and topics go deeper. Almost all my closest friends now comes from the nightlife, and they are great people with shared interests beyond picking up girls and getting drunk. Also, start sharing bits of your life. Sometimes you have to open before other people do.

Hello. I just want to inform everyone that Magic Truffles can be a powerful tool for conciousness work. Sorry if I make grammar mistakes, English is not my main language. The shops where Magic Truffles are sold are named Smartshops, not Coffeshops. I went to one located in Red Light District. I told the clerk that I wanted truffles for meditation practice, and he recommended 10 grams of "Atlantis" tuffles. 15 grams is the recommended dose for full effect, but better start with 10, trust me. A friend was taking care of me while tripping. I took them without empty stomach because I made the mistake of having a big breakfast before, and I was in a time constraint. I should have only drink a juice. After 1 hour, my body started to relax. I started to notice colors way more vivid and I developed more visual acuity. I also noticed more sounds with my hearing. I had a small visual hallucination when looking to the ceiling of the room. I saw a lot of small bones and skulls. I understood that I don't have to be afraid of bones and skulls, because some day I will be part of them as it should be. I started to talk with my friend. I noticed how I didn't have any worry or anxiety. I was happy as I was in that moment. Then I understood how worries and axieties are toughts, and also my sense of self was also a tought. So we were just nothingness. We stayed silent for 20 seconds. We couldn't add anything to the conversation. I dind't have a non-dual experience, but now I understood way more deeply what Leo and Eckart Tolle talk about. I have 2 friends that are great examples on how to live life. Free of fears and anxieties, having a lot of experiencies and enjoying all the range of possibilities that life offers. My life has no rational meaning, but I'm here to grow and blossom as best as I can, as these 2 friends do. There is no sense on living a life with fear, anxieties or anger. As I said, all these things are nothing new for me, but this time it hit way more deeply. I wanted to live my life to its fullest. I also cried when I realized how insignificant is my life. But I cried because I was having compassion of myself. On how much I suffer, trying always to do my best, taking my problems so seriously. This deep realization lasted 1 hour (cried for 5 minutes :P). After that, my body keep in a relaxed state for a few hours more, until the effect of the drug finished. By the way, I have taken MDMA some years ago, and I think the effect is pretty similar. The problem is that I mixed them with alcohol and partying, so I din't experienced these things before.

I want to make a small update. This last week I had mild lightheadedness two times that were very similar to the lightheadedness I had when I took the truffles. By the way, the duration of the symptoms were for only a minute, so it wasn't very disturbing. Use psychodelics with caution I'm glad that I started with a small dose. They can bring a lot of good things to your life but they can also harm you forever. On the good side of things, now I identify a small bit (very very small) with negative thoughts. I always had tendency for sadness and depression, and the trip made me see more clearly that they are just things that my ego create. I need to keep my concentration practice to focus on what I really want in life.

I'm currently focusing on the air passing though my nostrils during my concentration practice. My concentration is fucked up, ¡¡I can't focus for even 2 minutes!! I played videogames since I was very young and this brought me mild ADD or something. I will keep with this practice for a month and see if I get any result. I'm doing like 6-8 sets of 2 minutes of concentration practice, distributed across my day. -
Hello. I want to make a general thread about picking up girls. Sharing experiences, videos, product recommendations... First, a must-see warning from Leo himself about the Pick-up Community: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q56Qkejx_FM The previous video is important to apply a correct filter to all the material you can get out there. I also would like to warn you about the massive neurosis the pick-up material can create on you. A lot of coaches use negative motivation or bad advice, which make you have some success in the beggining but can make you feel like shit in the long run. They don't do this on purpose, so don't be mad at them. Also, TRUST YOURSELF over everyone. Be careful with the inner game mindsets the pick-up coaches give to you, because ONLY YOU can only be the master of your own psychology. Be willing to hear anyone, but feel free to accept or discard their advice. And remember, if you lack of anything in your life, having girls is only a temporary patch. It will not fill your inner void. Enough said, if you have any problems dating women, this can be an area of your life that can be MASSIVELY improved. There are A LOT of videos/blogs/products/forums centered in meeting women in nightclubs, online or even in the street at daytime. In my opinion, Real Social Dynamics are the cutting-edge worldwide pick-up coaches. Guys of RSD have HUNDREDS of videos about picking up girls for free in their YouTube channels. Here is a newbie guide from Tyler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lqo86IvOJ0 If you are serious about this, I would recommend getting one of their products since you need a blueprint on how to do a complete pickup, not only few glimpses here and there which can be hard to use if you don't have a general frame. I am going to recommend two of the products of these guys. TenGame by Julien Blanc is a pretty recent product. It boils down picking-up girls to ten rules. I like it because it empathizes on being you and offering you as a experience to the girl, which is healthier mindset than most of the inner game shit you can find. Daygame by Todd Valentine is a step-by-step product to picking up girls in the street. Picking up girls in the daytime could be viewed as fucking weird but this way you can avoid nightclubs where getting intoxicated is the norm and you don't have to break you normal sleep schedule (in some countries clubs close at 6 am which is totally silly). You can also search for local communities of pick-up guys in your city. These communities are usually called "lairs" (somewhat similar to "liars" lol). It's nice to go out with people that are not going to make fun of you each time you get rejected, which can happen if you go with your usual friends. And trust me, you are going to be rejected a lot. If you feel hurted easily, that's an ego problem. Work on your meditation daily, which you should be doing anyways. Hell, you should be doing meditation over pick-up. Feel free to ask anything.

Hello. Do you think that working towards spiritual growth takes out your sense of humor? Continuous search for truth wounds your ability to look for the irony and funniness in everything? Do you think that making jokes and share them to make other people laugh is a way to boost your ego, showing how smart you are? I'm a newbie in the spiritual community but I am starting to realizing these things, and they are making me a bit afraid. Thanks.

You can use sarcasm, a form of humor, to attack others. I don't think those qualities are matched necessarily with seriousness. I found this quote of Ken Wilberg very interesting: "Too many representatives of too many movements [...] meditation, spiritual studies – seem to lack humor altogether. In other words, they lack lightness, they lack a distance from themselves, a distance from the ego and its grim game of forcing others to conform to its contours... They should all trade two pounds of ego for one ounce of laughter" Thanks for everyone's responses. If you have anything more to add is very welcome, I'm very interested on this topic. -
I use brainwave entrainment daily. I felt very effective in the beginning but the effect decreases over time, like my brain built up some tolerance. It is still great to start meditation, I recommend everyone to give a try. You can search for free tracks on YouTube. This one was the first I used and it blew my mind. Paid audios: www.ennora.com www.binauralbeatsmeditation.com http://www.geniusbrainpower.com PS: I also meditate without audio.
