@Birdcage Generaly being fit is percieved as extremely hot . But you have to account for several other things : - Your personality - your life situation(job, kids, etc.) - your face ( there is more to physical appearence than just the body ) So being fit is not gonna immediatly put you in the 1% in the dating market.

@John You need emotion turmoil to change and you need to process it effectively, e.g. approaching a girl or two a day, keeping in mind that consistency is way more important than the amount. It changes you in a lot of different ways - all of them being positive - shocking benefits as @aurum stated, and he's god damn right. Your introversion will never fall away by itself, and you will need to work and hammer on it until you succeed.

Normal = the way things should be / The standard people should follow I remember Leo doing video's on morality and judgement, they may help you with that

@Alex4 Meh, I recommend you stop all together. It's been like 5 months now and I've never felt better. If you need a stimulant in your life it's simply an inner problem.

Who think samsara is REAL, because it does exist, it's just not real. As for desire, well, everyone has it. Even a jivamukta has the desire to eat so it can live longer - Isvara's programming I guess. So you mean disown your desire, realising it's the DMI desire and not yours ? With those 2 parameters you can forget about 99.999% of the people -

@Alex K Four human pursuits ? Objects : comfort, pleasure, virtue and knowledge, and some variations of that. And then Freedom, once it's made into an object. Superimposition is not easy to explain if you haven't studied the material (Well actually it's easy : There is awareness, and then Mithya, which is some sort of projected shadow which is non separate from awareness but happens in awareness that makes this non-real world apparently real, and the superiimposition mistake is to mistake this world for being real while it isn't because everything is made out of consciousness. It seems real only because of Maya which veils everything. Honestly, it's a "if you need the material the material will find you" type of teaching so... if you're interested there is a full lecture on vedanta by James Swartz which is quite nice : It's quite easy at the start but gets HARDER and HARDER, and it's not meant for beginners. By the way, @GTITurbolover, do you have any advice for having a more satvic mind (Aside from converting existing Tamas and Rajas) ? -

@NTOgen I knew you studied Vedanta because of the qualifications thing. hehe. I couldn't recommend James Swartz more. Simply amazing. -
It's gonna offer you SOME fullfilment, and it's gonna offer you a lot of life lessons. Also, the person you are is anyway a machine of desire - enlightnement is simply recognizing you are not the person - but there is still gonna be a person and it will want a lot of things - and helping it achieving them may help the enlightenment because when you have too much wants your mind is disturbed and you can't even focus normally. TLDR : just do it !

I have been thinking about why people who had more advantages than I do and been doing some things for a longer time seemed to completely fail for no apparent reason. And after some analysis I understood. They lacked dedication. They were not serious about what they were doing !! When you say, I've tried pick-up, what does it mean ? For most guys it means : go out 2 hours a day and talk to maybe 2 girls while drinking and that's it. For me it meant : go out from 9 pm to midnight and from 9 to maybe 4 am on the weekends, almost every fucking day, and sometimes even 30 days straight, all of this while writing my field reports, watching videos to understand what I did wrong, and on top of that reading self-developpement books to adress inner issues I had, and on top of that working at university and passing all the tests. And also going on dates, parties, and having sex. And of course when out I wouldn't just sit arround - I would seriously "work" and socialize almost all the fucking time. And I've done this for a FULL year. Not a week. A full YEAR, even slightly more The difference in the mindset is as easy to see as the one in results.

There is this one thing called natural selection - if you're not fucking anyone you're not supposed to. So if you have to pay and you can't do it normally well your genes don't deserve to spread further If you feel like you cheated the system in reality you have only cheated yourself !

I'm still doing the research but I'm quite interested. I wonder whether it can create addictions or not / also how often it should be taken and whether you should inhale/ingest/ expose on the skin and so on. It seems like a very complicated subject with no reliable data. -
Then, first of all, it's a special case, so comparing yourself with her is totaly pointless : it's just another league you don't get to compete in. And that's perfectly okay, we all are limited in a certain way. Either way, there is always a price to pay : for every advantage you get you also have a disadvantage, and they are always equal : for the best reward there is a high price to pay. For instance in her case, with 180 IQ, which seems unreasonable, she would be lonely all the time, e.g. + many many psychological problems, plus may be ugly, etc. Stop making it sound like she's perfect and has everything : unless you have put in the work/ self-dev. included, at 21, you really don't know much and you're most likely not happy, no matter how much fancy stuff you do. Superficially speaking maybe yes her life looks great but if you look at it seriously it only seems that way. A person like Mozart + Hanz Zimmer + Dendi + Morgan Freeman + Mark Twain + w/e simply doesn't exist.

It's impossible to do the entire list of things and be good at it all at the same time. Some people, including very clever ones, try to be great artists and composers and fail. Excellence takes an enormous amount of practice. I believe your subjective view is just heavily...heavily biased. The ten thousand hours doesn't apply to the most gifted, but even those need 5 thousand hours at least

@Dodoster Thank you for your support ! @Birdcage First of all, you're also making him a favour : who would want to spend their life with a partner that doesn't want to be with them /doesn't love or value them ? If it's not relevant for you to be with him the same applies to him. That doesn't make anyone bad. Also, if he is a match to a divorce/his wife leaving him he needs to look inside to discover what made him a match to this percieved "negative" experience. If it wasn't you leaving him, life would find another way for him to look inside, aka another "negative" experience. I truly believe that's a great opportunity for growth and everyone is gonna get better in the long run

@Raphael I'm amazed no one mentionned this : this might be your mind talking, trying to resist change and sabotage your progress. The way you view the situation is always subjective and fear of change and other feelings may push you to stop therapy when the progress is starting getting made. But if you're not feeling it, then, simply find another one

Not really - if everything is on point the most important thing is to do self-inquiry daily. Daily. Not more - not several hours. Honestly, it's like taking the train : You need to precisly know how, when, where you wanna go, how much do you have to pay, etc. The time you have to board and the train moves only let's say 15 kilometers a day - and is at rest all the remaining time. There is point to sit in the unmoving train, is it ? It's not gonna get you to your destination faster

I'm an INFP but I've gotten P and J exactly at 50 %. Also I can become an extravert simply by focusing energy outwards The whole MBTI model never seemed very accurate to me : your person can be anything and shift accordingly all the time

Funny thing is that you can really understand zero-sum you must be enlightened : the zero-sum meaning the fact that in life everything added and subsracted at the end is zero ! -
Lynnel replied to Mr Here and Now's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I meant it in exactly the way you said it : you shouldn't expect to throw lightenings everywhere and fly in the open sky. There is a difference between higher self and Source though so it's not quite the same As far as I remember everyone has a higher self but comes from only one source. Either way, as Teal explained, we agree to the rules of this reality with your mind before coming here - hence we would have to unwire all the mind structures, and you would either way have no desires for dragons and fairies once you're enlightened. But those thought are the mind's and the mind does exist, hence the mind unless taken care of will attract with the thought it produces. They still do exist even if not YOURS. -
Lynnel replied to Mr Here and Now's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
There is an important thing to mention though, that noobies always miss, that it takes time. You don't become god right away and you can't summon all the shit you want either. No dragons, no fairy tail. This reality has certain rules. (Well in theory you could but...w/e we're getting on the mystical side of things) As Teal Swan put it it does take time, because otherwise, any random thought about an accident or something could kill you, which could be really annoying -
Spiritual ? Is this a joke ? Rap is a street low vibration sub culture and the fact that he is maybe using some spiritually related words is simply to make it look shiny and higher while it doesn't have anything profound whithin. Pop culture is generaly low vibration, and rap is the worst of the worst, with the whole money, slut, raping, etc background.

Once the ego can't make post anymore it wants a dramatic ...very dramatic goodbye. Let's hope the ego won't want a dramatic come back as they always desire !
