  1. That's like the "scientific approach" of enlightenment, right? I think it goes beyond that though, way way way beyond it. Sounds to me like true enlightenment leads to beyond the universe or some shit. Nothing I've experienced yet but I guess I'll have to trust Leo and other spiritual teachers for now
  2. +1!!! Or something like "Temporary Pain vs. Long term Suffering"
  3. LOL! World ain't ready for that yet ;-)
  4. Like previously stated, becoming okay with intentional suffering. But becoming okay and accepting with unintentional suffering... that's some next level shit
  5. @Marks199 Why wouldn't you be able to do that and still become enlightened? Just do it consciously with awareness. You're creating a sort of substance dualism with that attitude. I'd say go all out and do those things until you're sick of it, then you'll start seeing some real awareness coming in. Also, yes you are right. Your 'ego' does try to distract you doing those things, but your 'ego' also is the one telling you to write the affirmations, to do the enlightenment work. Of COURSE you have to do that work. But become aware of what is truly going on here, go meta
  6. Enlightenment through affirmations? That's a new one. I'd use it more like self-inquiry and ask myself who's saying the self-affirmation.
  7. This labeling of ego or no ego...-.- I don't think they suffer from their own mind like humans with our petty little problems. Their suffering is primarily based on their survival. Ours is too, so what makes us different?
  8. Life already makes us delusional
  9. I tried introducing to some people but was of no good use. I think you can all guess why: "2 hours?! wtF?!"
  10. Necessary vs Unnecessary suffering
  11. I'm a writer so I think I have some authority on this subject: • Read • Read your own writings through the perspective of the reader (most important, because we write from our own mind and fail to understand the book is for other people) • Know your own subject and style. Not everyone writes the same way • Let others read your texts and give feedback • Study about different subjects or the subject you write about, daily, as much as you can • Do not make your books too dry unless it's for an academic purpose. People want to imagine while reading. This means your writing has to be more colorful and detailed • Real-life examples/Analogies. If writing about a certain subject for example personal development, don't just get caught up in the theory but like the previous point keep it colorful through real-life examples and characters • If writing novels, never have too much conversation. A big trap for amateur writers, focusing too much on the conversation rather than the described environment. Let the conversation be something to long for • If writing novels, make the characters strong • Always keep a red line of purpose throughout your texts so that every chapter/segment serves a purpose and are connected • When writing, have 4 other documents open: writing diary (Where you write afterwards every day what you've been writing and your concerns etc), structure of book (where you describe the structure and outline first before writing and if having other ideas you write them down, Ideas/tips/facts (a document where you have the CONTENT of your book with characters, purpose and things you can use in the book, basically ideas you have for the books in a concrete way), PowerPoint document (make your entire book into a powerpoint document connecting the chapters and so on, it will give you the bigger picture of your book and it becomes easier to follow all the content • Most important: be creative. Right now I'm writing a book on coaching and problem-solving like a sort of game, this is creativity. The reader can then follow the book not as a book but as a sort of game. It becomes exciting. This also connects back to your style of writing
  12. @Joseph Maynor LOL! True, but on what premise and responsibility according to who? Btw. I liked your interview with Zzenn
  13. @Bodigger That's also my philosophy, it always starts with the individual. But then we have to ask ourselves why the individual in the first place wants to find the motivation to do so and even get the proper education etc. That always comes from proper systems and politics we cannot deny that
  14. @Revolutionary Think Haha, hejsan Yeah I live in South Korea too so I get to see two different perspectives. I haven't studied much about the systems in the US but I've become more interested lately through Leo's videos. And yes, the Gymnasium is kind of like high school but you get to choose your own "program" like Economics, Natural science, Social studies etc. and you can combine your own classes. Kind of like preparation for university studies. Guess it's gymnastics for the brain lol
  15. @Revolutionary Think I'm from Sweden. We have such good welfare anyways so I guess it's easier for me to be considering a negative bias towards the idea of ubi
  16. Anyone having any ideas of UBI, Universal Basic Income? It's an idea proposed by Andrew Yang for the election of 2020 in USA. Basically everyone receiving the equivalence of ~$1000 every month if over 18 years old. To prevent poverty? Personally, I don't really believe in it but there are some data of it having positive effects. But from a global perspective, I'm not sure... why would it really motivate people to join the workforce?
  17. No need to worry
  18. World is not physical Title says it all. A little bit of help from substance too
  19. You Cannot Be Happy All The Time (Video) Made a new YT-video today, it's been a while...
  20. I've lately become more conscious and aware about the way my ego acts (aka. "me"). I have become aware of the way I can manipulate people to get what I want, unconsciously, how I can lie to myself, how I can hurt others with or without intention, and also my behaviour in everyday life which is negative. I've really struggled with questions of value and what it means to be a good person, but now when I can see my ego more clearly and the "darker" side of me, I'm becoming more skeptical about this being a path to letting go of the ego, and perhaps becoming a stronger ego? Since I want to become a better person and focus less on my own growth, because I feel as if it is dirty, I feel guilty and it is something I cannot live with anymore, I want to fully transcend into a larger circle of concerns. I don't know if this is a full transition into another level of the spiral or if it's just a way for my ego to grow even more. I want to leave my egoic behaviours obviously to feel better about myself and also for others. Why would we want to do something if it doesn't make us feel better, right? But at the same time I wonder, what if this is just another egoic act? It's a sort of paradox. Is wanting to become a more lovable person and to be selfless just another devilry? Perhaps the ego wants to protect itself from the feelings of guilt and therefore it just fights for its own survival? Maybe the real transition is when the ego fully stops caring about it's own benefits and rather the benefits of others? Or maybe this is a "first step of the way"?
  21. Alignment Just got back to Sweden. The contrast is always big but my goal is to make the contrast lesser and lesser. I don't want there to be any contrast or any transition really. I'm not there yet, but I guess in maybe a year I'll be so used to the transition that there will be no contrast anymore. Anyways, a lot of work to do this time so let's get to it. Next update I'll be listing my goals and purpose over the upcoming 2,5 months.
  22. What's been going on lately? These days I've mostly been posting about random questions and thoughts in my mind. My life ain't that exciting always tbh. but right now i.e this is what I'm working mostly on: • Studying online marketing (during the fall I will engage more in this as well as Instagram, seems like an interesting marketing source) • Listening to religious debates and different point of views, trying to find a sort of common factor • Back to Sweden in 4 days! • Writing a lot on Be Your Own Coach and Conversion, as well as working a little bit on the website. These are long term projects for now, no rush. But I want to try and publish B.Y.O.C in Sweden or Europe during the fall More updates to come...
  23. The name of goodness Why do we really want to be good? Is it for other people, for ourselves, for society? What actually makes a good person? I've contemplated a lot about these questions lately. I feel as if good is extremely relative and subjective, but still it is attached to the collective. There can be no separation from that. Whenever you are good there is a catch to it, and it's in the external we really show it, if we get accepted in this external we are good, if not we are bad. Whatever we feel for ourselves is co-dependant on the external too
  24. What make one point more true than the other? This is a question which bothers me every single day. There is not a single day I go without me thinking about this. I cannot stand seeing two different views without knowing what makes one thing more true than the other. I know they are both perspectives and hold some truth to them, but how can they accept each other fully? How can they see from each other's perspectives, combine them, accept and come to a reasonable solution and agreement? In ~1-2 years I'm gonna start writing a book called The Transcendence which will explore just this question of perspectives, transcending perspectives.
