Nos7algiK replied to johnlocke18's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@johnlocke18I don't agree with the term "deepest" when it comes to this type of work. Though I personally use to think Nothing was the end goal. Just like I thought God/Infinity was once the end goal. Certain experiences/realizations are so profound and shake us to the core that it's easy to get lost in the ideologies within this path. To see them as the end. Don't mistake others talking to you about this as lack of understanding. Though, I don't claim I have the answers we still need to always take in account the deceptive nature of reality and how the mind is designed to be attracted to this deception. My states are only here to claim that saying Nothing or cession is "true" enlightenment. Which I disagree with. I don't believe realizing infinity either is "true" enlightenment. I don't believe that somewhere in the center of these two ideas is "true" enlightenment. But, in this day and age everyone has their own personal relative idea of what enlightenment is and I suppose since I have no person definitive idea of it, all opinions are equally as valid to the concept. -

You are weaponizing dualistic language. But, what we are pointing to is much like Russian dolls. At it's core in a Russian doll there is nothing. "Outside" that nothing is the doll(God). Outside God there is nothing. Outside that nothing is another doll "God". This goes on forever, but there must be a final answer right? What is the biggest concept of them all? Is the doll the ultimate ground or is there more nothing outside that ground? There will always be more to see as we increase the scope of our consciousness. There is no answer or should I say the answer isn't set in duality this/that. The idea of a Russian doll already implies it's nothingness both inside and out. They are one in the same but even a Russian doll (God) isn't the most accurate term for what we are pointing to. -

@Vincent S This is pretty exciting part three is coming out soon. Nice little treat for the holidays. -
In a in general sense you will become radically more attractive to others. I believe this is due to you being connected with yourself, God, others will see themselves in you. There is a great quote from the Tao Te Ching on this. "The Master, by residing in the Tao, sets an example for all beings. Because he doesn't display himself, people can see his light. Because he has nothing to prove, people can trust his words. Because he doesn't know who he is, people recognize themselves in him. Because he has no goad in mind, everything he does succeeds." ~Tao Te Ching - Chapter 22 Though the irony is when the work is done even if one becomes more attractive they will have no care/feelings towards this new found attraction.

That's a pretty interesting insight on it. I could see this a solid conclusion. It's not like anything is really being thrown around since we always pop back into our beds like nothing happened. -

Thanks <3 But, I understand where you are coming from. God realization is a bit tricky when it comes to verifying another's experience with it. There is a lot of "X" wouldn't do "Y" if they were realized, but I'm not sure if that is the case. At least to certain degrees. I mentioned earlier how I highly disagree with Leo's views on relationship and part of me questions how the hell someone could ever view women in such a way who saw God / Infinite Love. But, I have to remember my own belief system is not a requirement for others as well to experience God. Though there are others who most defiantly bs'ing or fooling themselves on this whole topic. Regardless, it's always important to state how we feel. That's part of the experience of this forum and there is nothing inherently wrong with your original comments and I know they came from a good place. I can't say what OP is or is not, but rather I was only speculating a possibility of what could be. -

If you would have asked questions instead of making these statements I would have said nothing. I say this all in good faith, nothing against yourself you are cool in my eyes. Not that I'm the bearer of who is cool or not lol. -

@Gregory1You are doing the same thing Leo is criticized for. Why do you assume that @Rilles hasn't had God realization and has somehow had a "deeper" understanding than the plateau Leo is standing on at the moment? -

Uses non-dual gaslighting This is probably my biggest issue with the forum in a general sense. I've been guilty of it before though I wouldn't always consider it gaslighting. My issue with it more stems from people who are clearly somewhat new in their journey and half the answers they get is "there is no you doing anything" as if they would ever truly realize that just by someone telling them. It could do more harm than good and cause some type of derealization in someone's life if they don't have a direct experience of this idea. I also firmly believe now constantly stating the Nothingness of reality as a means to an end for all questions is not non-duality, but a strong polarization of what "is". I'll add what is attempting to be said is difficult to conceptualize through language due to the limitations of it. Though, it's just a belief and I fully could be wrong about what I'm saying. -

There is a phrase that states "Never meet your hero" and though I'm not saying Leo is the hero to anyone. But after spending time on this forum I realize more and more how this statement holds true. People will always be people no matter how much drugs they have taken, how much meditation they have done, how many books they have read, and ect. I never expected Leo to be more than just a human, but it is an interesting case study indeed to see how someone has created so many concrete traps for themselves. At least from my perspective, there is no room for growth within that paradigm of beliefs. The rebuttal to what I'm saying could be "You are not awake, go further" but the thing is I rarely talk about what I have experienced in public because I just don't find it necessary. To say such an answer to anyone who threatens one's own belief system is not hurts the self, but hurts others. Though I would say in some cases it may be true. Considering the nature of reality, or at least how I see it, everyone's opinion on it is valid to some degree. For this reason I really don't have too much of an issue with the teachings or at least nothing that is going to have any radial impact. Again I find it interesting to observe lol. My real issue stems from Leo's advice on dating and how he sees the dynamics of men and (especially) women. Besides some "in general" person help advice that can be applied to everyone. I personally think he has some of the most horrible dating advice and the way he sees women is not just ignorant it's borderline sexist. I shouldn't assume, but I'll speculate, that there is some deep deep rooted insecurity that is attempting to compensate for the way he sees women, him being in pick up, and how he wants to be the most awake of all. Again, we are all human no matter what we have experienced so we all have flaws. The only real difference is Leo is a teacher and what he says/does can impact others for better/worse. Spiritually I went through a similar phase as him, but after about a year I was out of it. Though I didn't have thousands and thousands of people validating my existence and opinion online telling me how great I am and how much I know. I feel like that would be a hell of a trap to be apart of. A friend of mine became a spiritual teacher online with a modest following and the same thing happened to him by his own admittance. He became very very arrogant and it was only his way as the ultimate truth. The more he believed this, the more deluded he became, and the further away from actual truth he was. -

I wouldn't say it's an early onset of psychosis. As someone who experienced this very heavily for about two years of my life my conclusion was the shadow figures or whatever may manifest in sleep paralysis / astral projection is a direct projection of your own shadow self. It can not directly harm you, though they do seem to be able to interact with your astral body. They use to throw me around the room while in sleep paralysis which wasn't fun, but doesn't hurt. Anyway, the realization they couldn't hurt me and it was just me doing it to me caused them to disappear ever since. It seems as though to me the concept of it is some sort of projected test of fear to help you overcome your shadow self and fear of the unknown in a general sense. @mandyjwIf you never experienced it then it's difficult to have any real opinion on it. I seen some crazy shit in my waking life and even on psychedelics and no fear was given towards it. But, sleep paralysis / the astral plane is much much different in the sense of emotions one can feel. We have a lot less control there and it's much like a dark reflection of our own current reality. I can't talk too much about what it is or what is actually happening since is largely unknown and speculation. But, fear incarnate exists there and I would guess few people would ever be immune to these feelings in the first encounters. This is where the original idea of nightmares stem from. Demons who paralyze a person at night and feed off the fear the person has while paralyzed, or so the story goes. Just the idea of being paralyzed is unsettling enough, but after frequent times happening the worry of it starts to disappear. -
@PurpleTreeThose are incredible!

I would say no due to the reason he burned himself was a strong reaction to what was going on in the pollical climate at the time. But, all we know is a picture (and I believe video) of a burning monk with a supposed story behind it. There is nor ever was an actual monk burning. What the image portray is strictly relative to what you wish to believe. As for enduring pain correlation is not causation in the terms of enlightenment. No matter how much pain he could endure, he could not endure the suffering of what was emotionally happening to him and his people. -
Understandable as I mentioned before nothing wrong with being trendy long as you honestly enjoy it. It is difficult and takes a lot of patience, introspection, and faith. But, once it's accomplished it's like riding a bike and it's very difficult to not be authentic after. @Terell Kirby The site name is Actualized.org.... Everything "can" be seen through the lens of this potential actualization. There is nothing wrong with doing so, but you are free to take a more practical approach also. Nothing wrong with that as well. I personally believe both sides should be taken into consideration.
-
There is no fooling yourself to think one is above anything. But, this is a self-actualization forum. Part of this process is the realization that we are not "that". To realize that we are choosing to identify with what we perceive to be outside ourselves rather than there being some type of quantum algorithm that controls us like puppets called the social matrix. I'm not telling OP he shouldn't try to attract others. I'm stating to OP that finding who you are inside and expressing your own authentic self with out feeling the need to impress others due to certain variables society is expressing is indeed the most attractive quality out there. There is more than just becoming attractive that being authentic comes with as well. But, that isn't relevant here. This issue is being authentic threatens this whole attractive game that so many play. It could never be so simple, eh? As someone who's been on both sides of what we are talking about. It is indeed that simple and people who say this aren't just bs'ing you. But, becoming that authentic person is the difficult part. Again, this is a self-actualization forum and becoming this is part of that process.
-
What are you on? Attacking who? This is literally my advice I'd give anyone on the topic. Neither of us can state what is authentic to OP. Only you are calling it shallow. "Be yourself" is universally applied to almost all subjects. But, there is a great philosophical ideology on what being authentic actually means. My personal view on it is something much deeper inside of us outside of what the social matrix has created for us. But, on the other end it's impossible to not be ourselves in any situation. If you want me to say it in a more practical way. My advice is don't allow the social matrix to control who you are, how you dress, or how you act (to a reasonable extent). Not because this is shallow, but because this can cause unneeded stress on the self and could potentially lead to us making decisions we feel uncomfortable with which in turn could manifest negative results in our life.
-
Yes, yes it will attract women lol. Do not underestimate the power of being authentic. Once achieved attracting others becomes child's play. It's as easy as breathing.
-
Wear what you personally find attractive, not what you believe other's will find attractive. Being authentic is one of the most attractive qualities we can express. You will feel more comfortable while wearing clothes you enjoy and so you will feel more confident as well, thus making you more attractive naturally. By following trends (unless you honestly really enjoy the trend) you fall into the trap of becoming someone you aren't. You will only attract others who enjoy the mask you are wearing and not the "real" you. Though I will say there is a baseline we all should try to follow of just being hygienic, clean, and within the legal constraints of what we are able to wear but none of those qualities take much thought to achieve.

"There are no threads" "There is no one to go round and round." "Sages are imaginary" "The window is you" "There is no you" "Nothing is everything" " void noises " The silliness of the non-duality wars makes me laugh. -
@tsuki I agree with everything you are saying. It's one thing to have personal preferences, but the position Leo is in and the way he gives advice is just a projection of his own biases that could lead to potential harm towards others. I honestly don't understand how someone could have so many awakening experiences. Cry on camera about how it's all infinite love. Preach about selflessness and how we should share this love. Then make one of the most apathetic statements towards relationships and sexuality I've heard in sometime. Not just as a personal opinion but as general advice we all should be following. Anyway...to the OP. Don't give up on your relationship because Leo said something foolish. The love you two share and what it could grow into is worth the effort it may take to get over this hurdle. Make sure to not vocally stress about it too much because if she does have some type of sexual trauma it may make her feel shameful she can't live up to your expectations. But, at the same time it's not a topic that should be fully avoided.

Osmosis of consciousness gives the appearance something is moving the body.
