  1. Seems a bit judgmental to dismiss other's visual/auditory phenomena as just mental illness. I wouldn't say much of it is cause for concern unless someone is hearing voice, or more so hearing voicing and making decisions based on these perceived voices. Taking psychedelics or even getting into meditative states shows there are many layers to our relative perception of reality that we can become aware of. Though, regardless of what someone is or can perceive. Our beliefs on said perceptions our what determines if it's a healthy or toxic relationship with the phenomena. A very common one is tinnitus, as others have mentioned in this thread. People are not mentally ill for having, or being aware of these sounds. ( I do feel like everyone has this to some degree it's just a matter of being aware of it or not). But, some people aren't bothered by tinnitus and some people suffer from crippling anxiety/depression because they can't unhear it.
  2. "Free from desire, you realize the mystery. Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations" ~Tao Te Ching Ching Chapter: 1
  3. This is still one of the greatest mysteries to me. I would label it as "consciousness" but I could label anything with that. I personally became aware of this after I started to trip, but now I can always see it. It seems alive and intelligent. It seems to exist between the spaces of physical reality. It seems completely aware of me and yet seems somewhat attached to me. Though, I do understand it has to be me since there is no separation between myself and it. My original theory on it was it's literally what the backdrop of reality is perceived on, like a screen that's producing the illusion. But, after further investigation I try not to hold too many beliefs like that. Though, I would like to hear other's experiences, ideas, or possibly explanations given just to have food for thought. It's shape is much like octopus tentacles that have no beginning or ending, fractals.
  4. What type of "nice guys" are we talking about here? People who are genuinely nice, but lack the confidence or social skills to get a girlfriend? Nice guys that are just being fake nice to manipulate women then turn into an ass after they get rejected? Nice guys who are pretty much borderline incels?
  5. I would say outside of daily heaving drinking or having some type of dependency on the substance, the worse effect it can have on you is the guilt you may feel after for drinking it. Guilt itself can be a very low consciousness emotion and can/will lead to further suffering or more low conscious actions. So if you wish to drink with moderation or in a social setting, go for it. Just try not to feel bad about it after and things will return back to normal fairly quickly. If you want to never drink again go for it. But, to stop something yet always have the thought of wanting to do it can be counter-intuitive and cause other issues to rise to the surface. If you can not drink and also not really give drinking much thought then this is a much more healthy way of going about it.
  6. That's pretty much the Wu Wei you mentioned earlier. Even though it may seem a bit shocking or dare I say damning to your ego. Eventually, you will integrate this insight enough to sit pleasantly with it. Then the damnation turns into liberation. "Destruction breeds creation." Even if both of those concepts are overall illusionary and one in the same.
  7. Bet it's riddled with microtransactions.
  8. That is really awesome, good work. I really enjoy looking at artwork such as this while tripping.
  9. As quoted by Alan Watts: "Before I had studied Zen for thirty years, I saw mountains as mountains, and waters as waters. When I arrived at a more intimate knowledge, I came to the point where I saw that mountains are not mountains, and waters are not waters. But now that I have got its very substance I am at rest. For it's just that I see mountains once again as mountains, and waters once again as waters." ~Alan Watts (The Way of Zen)
  10. If you wish to play games, play games. I wouldn't do it under the guise of being relatable, but rather those being personally enjoyable. Too many people in the spiritual community set these guidelines or restrictions of who we are to be. This is, in my view, very counter-productive and can only get you so far. It's good for establishing a base, but once one realizes the nature of reality is much like a dream. What is better/worse for us on an overall spiritual level fades away. I'd personally say the issue isn't doing these things, but rather believing you need to do anything. To believe you need to meditate to chase awakening will then put your "now", which is everlasting, in the idea of forever chasing instead of just being. To be what you seek is to release the idea you need to be anything at all to find it. You are already there and always have been and over the years you have been doing nothing more than removing the perceived barriers of being "it" rather than fulling yourself with "it" from the outside. So if you wish to play games and watch anime, go for it. It's not a trap or should I say it's only a trap if you see it as a trap. But, it's mentally unhealthy to demonize aspects of reality. I understand seeing reality different once we awaken where what we once enjoyed can be offputting. But, once you get over the hill completely things generally go back to normal. Not because we go back in progress, but because reality is much more simple than the mind wishes to make it out to be. At least from the ego/human perspective. Here is a quote by Alan Watts: "Before I had studied Zen for thirty years, I saw mountains as mountains, and waters as waters.
  11. From my own perspective not everyone is meant to be healed, but rather shows a polarizing manifestation to what isn't virtuous in our life. How could we personally be put off of murder and never wish to do it ourselves if murder never happened in reality? It not only shows us what we don't want to be, but also what we have potential to become. There would be much limitation in reality if there was no perceived "evil". I understand it's not easy to accept the nature of loss of life or other tragedy which was brought on by one human to another. But, at the same time aspects of consciousness are multi-faceted in their usage. It's not for us to change that with is perceived outside of us, but for us to change ourselves internally using that which we perceive outside of ourselves. In turn, reality itself will evolve outwardly to our current perceived "now". But, in truth there is no inside or outside and this change happens in tandem as a whole.
  12. I believe this is where it becomes a slippery slope. Many times over speaking out about injustice just causes another form of injustice. Though, I do agree there are points in life where we should speak out against what is happing to us or others. But, at the same time this reasoning can be easily warped to suit one's own biased narrative. "The road to hell is paved in good intentions."
  13. @Zigzag IdiotI'm in agreeance to pretty much everything you are saying on the topic. Personally, I realized just how much complaining affects other people. There is some type of transferred karma that can cause negativity in another person's life we complain to. I can't say if these are meta-physical consequences or if it's a psychological concept that causes another to make mico-negative decisions eventually manifesting something more severe. But, to put it simply if I am aware that burdening others with my own issues can cause them suffering. Then I'm in the wrong for doing so and I should always make sure to uplift rather than bring down others. Though, as social media has grew over the years this sense of entitlement that comes with complain has entered our collective. That we have the right to complain and express ourselves and because we have that right we should in turn do it. If we do not express ourselves it will bubble up inside of us and turn into something more toxic. But, I firmly believe this is a very low quality view point on our own internal struggles and only comes from the perspective of those that can't transmute their own negative emotions internally and those that have a hard time detaching for many of these concepts that have almost no relevant factors to the self. Many can't see they are the own issue even if others point it out to them, victim mentality is very strong or their own issues are petty and can easily be ignored. I don't except everyone to have emotional mastery and it's important to have a sense of understanding for those fall into their own mental traps.
  14. I'm a firm believer the more connected we become through concepts such as the internet the more exponential human consciousness is perceived to rise. I have full faith that this evolution of connectivity is always for the greater good.
  15. The way you described it is pure spiritual ego. To believe yourself superior just because you imagined inside your mind your "self" is tethered to another self is complete delusion of grandeur. You are not this, you are not that. Yet you are all things. Though, I do feel as if someone wishes to identify themselves as some divine figure that supposedly existed in the past there is nothing wrong with doing that as long as it remains a stage or stepping stone in life. But, many get stuck within a self created paradigm where they make connections to stories or heard beliefs in their lives and tether these ideologies to their own self, mistaking their own essence to be that of something rather than that of nothing/everything. The ego desperately wants a reason to exist here and to understand said existence. Even if it has to delude itself into believing it's a God from past mythos. All the experiences no matter how divine or profound you may have, all have the same equal value to this present moment. The mind has a hard time accepting this at first. Striping away our perceived human identity we are much more than the Gods from the past. I suppose people can believe what they wish, there is nothing wrong with it. Even if they have a superiority complex out of it, it's not inherently wrong to believe anything really. But, confliction occurs the moment someone doesn't believe you are that incarnation. What part of your self is right? What part of yourself is wrong? I can point to my finger and call it a finger. Someone could say I am wrong and tell me I'm pointing to Nos7algiK. Both are right, but one contains more of the truth. My finger can only contain what's inside of it. But, Nos7algiK contains my whole body and I can name numerous parts inside of it. Even "Nos7algiK' is very limiting in definition. Though, someone could make the argument even my finger contains the whole in a meta-physical sense, but I digress.
  16. I won't say her name, but my partner's best friend. She strived to be able to work with mentally challenged children as a teacher. She loves her job and the children love her as well. She's a very lovely person and I'm happy for her.
  17. There is nothing wrong or right about it. I would argue the bigger issue is attaching either a need or rejection to anything you post. It shouldn't matter, but lack of mattering doesn't mean don't do it nor does it mean do it. The desire to help others awaken may be noble, but I personally believe we should have faith in the aspects of consciousness we perceive as "outside" ourselves to understand what it personally best for them within. Their lack of or pursuit of enlightenment doesn't add nor substract anything from what truly "is" which is Infinite in nature already. Generally speaking all it really does is makes us personally feel more comfortable. Specially in the field of relating to others, not feeling lonely, and projecting our own personal biases of happiness onto another aspect of ourselves.
  18. I've only recently seen his artwork, but I consider him very talented. I have no distain for Hitler as a person. Consciousness is consciousness no matter what perceived form it takes.
  19. I was skeptical at first, but eventually ended up doing it. Mainly due to me being around my grandparents and they really worry about that type of stuff. I prefer not to worry them. But, overall I mainly just have faith in going with the flow. If the wind blows a pile of leaves in a certain direction, I won't force myself to flow differently. It simply is what it is.
  20. If nothing matters, then there is no comparison to it. Therefore everything matters absolutely. If all things matter absolutely then their very nature is conceived from the highest Good, meaning all things are perfectly perfect. If this is the case, then it doesn't matter that all things matter because their very nature is Good and can never be more or less of that. Let all aspects of reality to just "be" for that being, or awareness of the "now", is exactly what is willed by the Whole. Though, even this awareness of the illusion and acceptance that the illusion is exactly what is meant to be, is also an illusion itself. The "solution" is difficult to translate in language, but is found by holding both ends of the paradox, sitting in it's center, becoming it's whole, and realizing you are none of it as well.

  22. I would say instead of focusing what a potential narc is or is not on an individual scale. Realize what that aspect of reality means in relation to your own relativity. Meaning, use the manifestation of consciousness you label "narcissistic" to be a projection/reflection of your own self and qualities of the self you do not wish invoke in you. If you dislike their arrogance, or see how their selfishness is perceived as a trap and leads to suffering. Then use that as an example as to why to be humble and selfless. Though, don't demonize their actions nor dehumanize them as you find these examples. Just remember the importance of your own relativity and the understanding that comes with that. But, it is what it is. They are what they are. You are what they are and there is no you/they nor any separation between the two.
  23. The best fight against anything, specially mental interpersonal attachments, is to not think about it. I don't mean, push the thoughts away, but rather attempt to detach from the awareness that is laziness to the point where it doesn't even pop into your mind anymore. You will no longer be lazy then, because you don't perceive laziness. An issue arises when we try to combat that which opposes us. If you keep saying " I need to find a way to not be lazy" then your attempts will only cause you to suffer in the end. Alan Watts said it pretty great on the lines of something like "If you tell the devil you are going to get rid of him. Then he will find ways to trick you so you have him back in your life down the road". It's best not to say anything and best not to think anything. There is no award down the road you can acknowledged for if you acknowledged "I'm no longer lazy" you are still thinking about it. It will be completely absent from your mind and you won't even be aware you are eating the fruits of your labor. This is largely due to laziness itself is not a good/bad thing, but rather your thoughts about the subject matter. No thoughts = doesn't matter.
  24. I fully agree with you here. It will be interesting what happens to him and I do wish the best. But, personally it would seem especially damning to have a massive following of 3m+ so deeply connected to the self while going though an intense awakening. Then again, his mind is more built for that life-style than my mind ever could be so I'm sure if anyone could figure that aspect out it's someone who's already deep into it.
  25. The simplest way to prove infinite intelligence is to look at your own imagination/dreams. You are capable of imagining anything and everything in an infinite number of ways. No one fully understands the fundamentals of imagination, nor do you need understand how everything works within your dream reality in order to dream. Yet, it will work in any scenario you imagine up. That's because the very substance of your imagination is, in itself, intelligent and self aware. Your mind is not just the only self aware thing, but also the micro of your mind(and the macro). The same applies for where are current awareness is set. It does not need to be understood to be experienced. Actually, the very reason we don't fully understand it is how we experience it. To answer your question about someone taking psychedelics' and answer a complex math problem. Well, to be honest, if they could do something like that then intelligence itself would be limited, not infinite. If the so called "infinite mind" can only conclude the "correct" answer to the math problem. Then it is limited to that one answer by some unwritten law of the universe. But, if it's able to conclude any answer, even if it's "wrong", the intelligence is now open to infinite possibilities rather than it's one choice you are attempting to give it. To compress infinite intelligence down to rationality and logic is to severely limit it's potential.
