  1. @Outer That sounds like an awesome combination! I have a similar background story with the work. I Studied it extensively, read all the books on it, watched many videos, but wasn't able to make it effective for me. Maybe when I go back and try it again I will be able to get more success with it. I have yet to try Ramana Maharshi self inquiry.
  2. @LRyan You might want to look into something known as emdr This guy is the foremost expert on PTSD
  3. @Callum A The shinzen young mindfulness technique that Leo teaches in his mindfulness video was really powerful for me. I would like to become better at it in time.
  4. @Robert66 It is weird, I learned this method a few years ago and extensively studied it. I read the book , watched the movie and took the course, though I didn't do most of the work book. And for some reason the effectiveness slipped past me. But, I am doing it now. and am having multiple powerful releases. I guess I wasn't ready at the time. And I have learned a lot since then. Cool to hear that there are others getting use out of it!
  5. @vikisss1 I am playing a game right now called "The Witness". I think it is an interesting example of a constructive video game because I feel like it forces you to use your intuition and not rely so much on your logical mind. If you rely on your logical mind then the puzzles are overwhelmingly hard and you will give up. But if you just observe and let a deeper part of your mind do the processing, then you will find yourself solving puzzles that seemed impossible. I wasn't going to post this here, but then I strait up ran into a quote in the game about infinity and god. So I felt like I had to post this here.
  6. @AstralProjection You may have heard of this before, but there a is a technique known as Induced After Death Communication. Where you use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to bring about spontaneous after death communication often with therapeutic effect. Your account reminds me a lot of this. If you are brave enough, or disciplined enough, or have the resources to work with someone trained in this technique. Let me know if you have any success
  7. @AstralProjection Not saying that I would dogmatically apply either things all of the time. There is a balance to be found and a nuance to be acted with.
  8. @AstralProjection This reminds me of a study that said that if you go around telling people your goals you are more likely to fail at them. Because the act of telling people, and the social rewards you get from doing this, trick your brain into thinking that you have already attained the goal. The reward centers and such go off. So if you really care about achieving something, keep it to yourself! Counter intuitively.
  9. I can see myself in your post. I have been on both sides of this situation. I can see some possibilities. 1. He likes you, but is afraid to let his guard down. Afraid to love and be vulnerable. 2. He is not interested in you romantically, but would enjoy being your friend. 3. He is committed to someone else. 4. He is homosexual Those are just some of them. If you really feel this strongly, the only way to move forward is to be as direct and clear in your communication as you possibly can. Let him know exactly how you feel in a concise and clear way. Especially over text it is easy, because he can carefully form his thoughts in response. It is a pretty non threatening way to communicate. If he ends up rejecting you at least you will know that you tried and you will have no regrets moving forward. Make it quick and to the point. Be creative in your approach. Don't try to force anything. You may end up winning him over. If not, you will learn something about yourself. There are many many great fish in the sea. Good luck! Stay Strong! Stay on the Journey!
  10. @CreativeInertia Thanks I love this community feedback. I read the book years ago and was fascinated by it, but felt clumsy applying it. I really just needed someone to bounce ideas off of. I'll give it a go again soon. And In the context of Leo's "Awareness alone is curative" video it makes sense that even if you answer "no, no, never" if you pay attention to that fact that this is what your mind thinks, that awareness is enough to correct the unwanted thought behavior over time. Thanks again.
  11. @CreativeInertia Do you answer the questions honestly, or do you feel like you have to say the "right" answers? Thanks for the insights.
  12. @CreativeInertia This is the sedona method. I love the idea of it, but how were you able to integrate it into your life?
  13. @Peace and Love I know it is sad. There are people from all different perspectives and places here. Don't lump us all together. Body image issues are a legitimate epidemic in our society. And mental health issues are on the rise for young girls. It really is a giant issue. You are not over reacting. Don't leave us peace and love! Or at least tell me what forum you migrate to and I'll tag along.
  14. @Saba This is literally all you need. No need to spend money on a therapist unless you are in a very very serious situation (or you just want to) (turn off audio)
  15. @Saba something that I have heard about for performance anxiety, but haven't used myself, is EMDR. Might be worth looking into. I think you can apply it yourself. If you research it online you may run into some information that cautions against using it yourself. But it is literally just moving your eyes back and forth and imprinting new emotions and beliefs (affirmation/positive cognitions) It is a legit therapy. Good luck! I wish you the best!
  16. Just watched this video and had a pretty powerful shift. It wasn't apparent at first. I started using Leo's Contemplation exercise in conjunction with the exercise in this video, then I had the breakthrough experience of realizing that soooooooo many things bother me. So many things that it was almost a fog. paraphrase: "When you say something bothers you, you think you are in a place of power and righteousness. In reality you in a place of weakness and are being controlled. You are giving your power over to the external world and letting these things control you."
  17. "If it's not your experience, it's not your truth. If it is your experience it is your truth." - Tom Campbell
  18. to me the most attractive thing in the world is a genuine smile
  19. Leo's just released inquiry video and his lies video are great compliments to this topic.
  20. @Callum A I love the way you communicate to reality in your posts, and reality communicates back. It tends to work that way in my experience. I don't do it enough.
  21. @Prabhaker He literally was a drug addict. He was addicted to meth.
  22. @Natasha I was raised catholic and took it seriously as a child. I was a smart child and thought deeply about hell, the ten commandments, Noah, etc. My grandmother was devoutly catholic that reinforced it as well. Then at a relatively young age I fully embraced scientific materialism and skepticism. I threw out all religious and spiritual ideas. Then this experience happened and I slowly went from being atheist, to being agnostic, to being a full blown mystic. I've seen plenty of "miracles" along the way to reinforce this path. And my ego has gone kicking and screaming. I can't say what is right for anyone else. but, for me I'm really glad I'm not a catholic and I'm really glad that I am not an atheist. This divine love was what I never knew I always wanted. It filled me in a way nothing else ever had. How is it that an atheist got into the kingdom of heaven?
  23. @Natasha Ok you are going to laugh at me for not thinking it was Jesus, but the being looked almost exactly like this video freeze framed at the 1:45 mark. The head was bowed and the eyes were closed exactly like the man in this video. Except there was no human skin tone. The whole being was radiating light. He was wearing white too.
