I was watching one of Leo's video's and I noticed that my attention was getting weak, so i intuitively remembered to turn my flux software more toward the orange and put and my blue light blocking glasses, and my attention became very lucid and easy. Common knowledge to some, but not common practice for me. Remember that blue light can stress the brain and eyes and put unnecessary strain on your attention. Some blue light is healthy, but too much is not. It was a neat discovery for me. Hope it helps someone.

@mitch311 Yeah uvex are proven to block almost 100 percent of blue light, that is what I use. They were 5 dollars not too long ago. I think the lens could be a little clearer, but they are 10 dollars and swannies are like 70. Uvex are a great starting point for sure.

@pluto He was actually the one who first exposed me to the concept, but I never found a resource that I liked for reprogramming the subconscious mind. He never explained in his books do exactly this and it will help you, he just linked to a bunch of various complex modalities, which are cool. But, I honestly find listening to these videos so effective and easy. His explanation of the problem was excellent, but ascribing a clear solution not so much. At least that is my experience

@Siim Land Ah I remember hearing about oura rings. Nice to know thanks for sharing.

The two main books that it comes from are Wheatbelly and Grain Brain. In Wheat Belly, the author describes the genetic altering overtime of wheat to something the human body can't recognize use properly. Many of the author's patients had seemingly miraculous recoveries when they removed wheat and a long list of other grains from their diets. In Grain Brain, the author describes the link between wheat and other grains and brain inflammation causing issues such as depression, attention deficit disorder, Alzheimer's, anxiety, dementia etc. There is a MASSIVE industry behind wheat remember. And if some of these things turn out to be true there will plenty of selective "research" saying "see wheat is fine, no problem here, carry on" especially around universities. -
@Toby Yes, when I first started wearing them, I would notice a pattern of having intensely realistic dreams and I would wake up surprised that what I had experienced wasn't real.

@Ilya personally I almost never drink, but check out this article. This is not the kind of perspective one hears every day. https://bebrainfit.com/effects-alcohol-brain-memory/

I just saw this the other day, it seems interesting. The best part about it is that there is no monetary incentive involved in the beneficial claims. And the beneficial claims are extremely positive and wide-ranging.

Colin replied to Iksander's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Iksander The only thing comparable I have to add is that one time I was meditating in a dark room and, not really meditating, but intuitively "flexing" my energy to the point where I was starting to sweat lightly and randomly a burst of "energy" shot up from the bottom of my spine and went in to the back of my head and I was catapulted to another "realm" briefly. It was a full-blown psychedelic space. I shut it down quickly though cause I was scared. -
Hey this is a great YouTube channel I have found recently. I really enjoy the presentation and the content. I watch almost everything he posts enjoy

@Sevi I meant more the inspiring hope part of the second video I posted. It seems like a conscious tactic Leo might use based on the information in that video.
-
@Sevi Yeah that is just one video, almost every single one of his other videos don't mention animal testing. Like this one Kind of reminds you of Leo's videos . He is very fond of instilling hope in people

@Charlotte This has been holding me over as of late. It is super passive, super easy, and super powerful. It is also connected to Leo's life purpose course in a way. I lay down and listen to one of these youtube videos daily. Best not to multitask while listening. Best to focus and to feel what is being said. Also best not to listen while upset if possible. Best to relax. It is reprogramming your subconscious mind! Listen as little or as much as you like. This will be a year long or multi year process. Daily repetition is key!

I was taking a shower, and remembered to try making it cold at the end. It is winter temperatures outside and at first the cold shock seemed way too intense. I was about to give up. Then I remembered Wim Hoff and took only two deep breaths and held it in. After that the cold became effortless to tolerate and I was flapping around like a kid in the rain. Don't forget to regulate your breathing if you are going to attempt cold showers!

I have been watching all videos and and listening to all audio books and 2x speed and I feel like it has blown open the doors for allowing me to learn more quickly and explore content I would shy away from because of length. A very cool trick. I used to be averse to listen at such speeds, but now I have found it to be quite an asset. I have heard myths of people listening at 3x speed, but that is a little too fast for me to keep track of what is being said. There is a great chrome extension that allows to easily change the speed on any video.

Hello I was looking up research on google about the benefits of submerging one's face in ice water and I came across a Reddit thread on its' connection to meditation. The idea is that it triggers "the diving reflex" Which slightly lowers your blood pressure and heart rate. A guy in the thread did a test on himself and the measurements came out that indeed submerging his face in ice water had this effect. I have been testing it for a couple of days and have noticed a nice benefit. I feel like meditation is easier to slide into. I go a little bit deeper a little bit more quickly. I feel a little bit more relaxed. Anyone else have any experience with this method? It is a nice little trick.

@Siim Land @InfinitePotential Yeah, I wake up in a better mood when I use the glasses at night. There is scientific research to back this up. I Also use them during the day when doing computer work. It makes a big difference . I could use a better quality pair though as the cheap ones i have muddy my vision a bit. Probably discouraging my use of them. Thanks for the suggestion.
-
@username Yeah that sounds wise and adaptable.@Star Net @Caterpillar Yes. I was thinking better to at least be exposed to the information. Then, if it catches root and develops into something, I will be all the better for it. But of course there is more to learning than just being exposed to the information.

I wonder what kind of meditation or mental training Leonardo was doing. I know that all the various creative works he persued could be considered mental training. But wonder what kind of old European style techniques he made use of. On a side note there is a new biography about Leonardo da Vinci coming out from the guy who wrote the famous Steve Jobs biography. It looks interesting. I think I'll be checking it out

Anyone else watching/ listening to one of Leo's videos everyday? I am pretty close at this point.

@Dodo I was getting the sense today that there are experiences and places available waiting for me to tap in to them . Like awe inspiring dream states and other dimensions.

I have not dove too deeply into her work, but I am now. I know I have been touched by many of the authors that she has published in her publishing house. I bet she was an incredibly happy person.

Hello. I may be overthinking it, but if one listens to music at the same time as using a brainwave entertainment program does it defeat the effectiveness of the program. This is not to be compared to actual meditation, but sometimes I like to use holosync while vegging out and listening to peaceful instrumental music. I was wandering if anyone here could tell me if this totally defeats the effectiveness of the program or if it is totally fine and doesn't take away from the effectiveness. Thanks
