@Zweistein Well if you were to follow the ideas of consciousness VR, then everyone is already outside of the VR, because everyone is consciousness. Tom Campbell and others have said that they can unplug from this "console and tv" and "plug into another console and tv." I have experienced glimpses of this. Currently, I am still dealing with the echoes of my religious and cultural upbringing so the idea of doing this still kind of scares me on a gut level. Ha. But, I am improving every day +1 at a time. -

I think there is a lot of value in subconscious programming such as with affirmations. It may seem like a lie, but you can act in congruence with the affirmation to make them true statement and repeat listening to create neural pathways and habit of thinking. I think a lot of people, me included, believe and have believed a lot of arbitrary negative things, so why not decide to believe arbitrary positive things and act on them to see where your life goes? -

I think this is a misinterpretation of what he meant. He meant the whole video game You have the tv and the console powering it. You have mario in the world of the game, he can jump around, he can look up, down, he can crouch make expressions, power up, save people, fly, do flips, but he can't point to the fact that he is a collection of pixels on a screen flickering and changing colors based on a set of 1s and 0 that a team of programmers designed to be read by the console. He wouldn't even begin to imagine that he could do that. And he can do some pretty wild and amazing things. -

@Torkys Thank you, I laughed unreasonably hard at this image. as promised on my end of the bargain. Although if I had my way I would replace angry leo with elon musk. And ladies and gentlemen this is what happens when I stay on the internet when I should be taking a nap. off to snoozland. -
Nah, but seriously Welcome back Leo, it was a welcome surprise to see you pop up on youtube today. I watched the video from beginning to end, your voice is a valued contribution to the collective knowledge space. Thanks! Also, Tom Campell would approve of your latest video. So would Mario

If someone wants to photoshop Tom Campbells and Leo's faces on to the star people, I will give you an internet high five. It will also give me a good chuckle -

Thank you salvijus, that is a great tip! I will use that now. I can add that there is some high-quality Japanese incense that contains very few, and quite pure ingredients, that smell divine. Try shoyeido -

You're gonna take diet advice from this guy? Are you fucking kidding me? -

Just remember Solace, nothing he said in the video is incompatible with eating chocolate, masturbating, and playing video games -
Also this, one of my faves

@Ether I do this daily to boost my levels of dopamine. - sunlight or artificial light box exposure. - drink coffee - take tyrosine - Listen to my favorite music (even better, dance) If you are anything like me this will allow you to reliably reach levels of happiness that you likely have not experienced in years if ever. Some possible side effects - sunlight/ lightbox can trigger a bipolar reaction if your circadian rhythm is out of wack - Coffee can interfere with sleep and cause anxiety. Take countermeasures to these, or cease caffeine intake - Tyrosine will work great at first at 500mg, then the effect will wear off. Then you need to double it. Then you will need to increase the dose again still. It also needs to be taken at least twice a day. If you suddenly stop taking tyrosine you will experience the symptoms you are describing your first post. Anhedonia. Things that used to give you pleasure will stop giving you pleasure, motivation will stop etc. - Music, try to avoid excessively sad, angry, or pessimistic music. Even music that will trigger you to think about things that make you uncomfortable. Also, combine with some positive affirmations and you have a recipe for some pretty positive emotions.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Prabhaker for linking me to a study on B6 and dreams recall. While it didn't (weirdly) help me recall my dreams, It did give me some pretty great sleep and helped me hit some pretty high states of happiness. B6 is an absolutely vital cofactor to building GABA. the counterpart to the most abundant neurotransmitter in the brain, glutamate. I stopped taking it for a few days and really noticed a difference. More information about glutamate in this article. https://bebrainfit.com/glutamate-neurotransmitter/

@Solace Your last dialogue reminds me a lot of Lincoln Gergar. You would be surprised if you knew just how many of his video I have watched in the last several years.

@Prabhaker I vehemently disagree. Ignorance is the worst possible fate for both the individual and humanity at large. Your comment is a sign of ignorance. -
He contradicted himself in the first 50 seconds. He doesn't know what the fuck he is talking about when it comes to diet.

There is nothing wrong with chocolate, in fact, there is a lot right with chocolate. https://bebrainfit.com/brain-benefits-dark-chocolate/

Hey, I've got an insight for ya from a book I am reading called "the as if principle". Since you are naturally drawn to video games. THere is research that has been done that doing empowered things as an avatar in a video game can make you feel more empowered and assertive in the real world. You would want to play a game that you can create the avatar to sort of look like your self but taller (there is reason for this). Also, a game where you can make lots of choices. Do what you want, where you want, when you want in the game. Video games have come a long way since kingdom hearts. I want to suggest final fantasy xiv. It checks all of the boxes. It is staggeringly beautiful. It has a light vs dark theme. There is a free trial you could play for months without paying a dime. You could even do this. Now if you have an addictive personality, don't want play video games, or take your in-game accomplishments seriously then stay away. Also based on research from the same book. Don't play crouched over on a handheld, and don't play looking down at whatever screen you are looking at.
