Ego death is a myth and a self deception if anyone has claimed to have it. It can be made really small...but ego death is impossible unless someone is in a vegetable state in a hospital. If you disagree, Im curious... name one person who claims to have had a full ego death or it is said about him.

And no one cannot love unconditionally when not enlightened. To love unconditionally means Im completely all about the other person, because in essence I see him/her as myself. If Im not enlightened then Im separate from the whole world and all people and I only care about myself so if someone does something against me then I stop loving them. Its easy to say Im ONE with the whole world and every person and I'm enlightened blah blah (talk the talk) A relationship is a opportunity to walk the walk. And practice being one with some one.

"...Baby dont hurt me...dont hurt me...no more" Relationships with anyone is one way to achieve enlightenment. How? Well since we are all one. So whats the best way to realize you are one with someone..(by hanging out on the forums??? NO) by being in a real relationship with some. A relationship is like a sandbox for achieving enlightenment The real test if someone is enlightened or not is how you act around other people. Do you get angry at them? Are you easily annoyed at little things they do. If so you must see yourself as separate from them. Marriage or any relationship is practice for enlightenment. If I can see myself as ONE with one other person so then I have exercised my enlightenment muscle (so to speak) and now I can more easily see my self as one with other people. These are my thoughts

At the end of the day there is an appearence of multiplicity in the world. It might not be real and there might not be other beings and my assumtion that there are other beings are wrong and its all one etc etc and thats are true essence etc etc. BUT at the end of the day there is a fake appearence of multiplicity and that my friend is WEIRD. My whole point is that the fact that there is such a thing as the human experience is weird IM NOT ASKING FOR RATIONALIZATION OR ASKING WHY IM JUST POINTING OUT THAT ITS WEIRD!

(I dont exactly know what your asking but Ill play along) Umm...I guess I don't...so Ill add a couple words to my comment: @Leo Gura So isn't it weird that this infinite awareness has (in lack of better words) split up into (what appears to the physical eyeballs in my sockets to be) different humans. Theres got to be more to whats going on than Leo is saying.

That each human has the ability to be that same awareness if he works hard and overcomes the addiction of the human mind to think in terms of visual objects? I personally think this requires more explanation. Maybe your just way smarter than me and can grasp this easier.

@Leo Gura When I say hidden. I mean whatever the path to enlightenment involves. Meaning, for example that we naturally think we are this body and that the thoughts we have are ours and that we are our thoughts and the ego feels so real. When I say hidden, I mean the fact that it's hard to be conscience of our true self (which according to you is just pure empty infinite consciencenous). Meaning the fact that our true self is something counter intuitive, and involves years of work and may be a once in a life time experience, is weird. If it's are true self and thats the whole story and we really are infinite so why are we trapped inside these minds and bodies. I'm not trying to bash what your saying. I envy your quest to understand and I also want to fully understand and if something doesnt settle for me...no matter how many people make fun of my truthseeker name...Im not ganna give in and pretend things make sense. The fact in general that it takes Work to be enlightened and Be our true highest self that is unfathomable by the human brain is just weird and I think if someone makes such a claim there needs to be more explanation. I think you have the ability to understand more of whats going on and explain it better.

Hey Leo...I'm curious if you still agree with all of the stuff you said in the video cause and purpose? And to everyone else Im curious what you guys would die for. i.e. think if someone were threatening to take my life if I didnt do or did do XYZ what I would do. For example someone might say. "If someone were threatening to make me cheat on my wife I would rather him take my life than cheat on him" Or "if someone were threatening to kill me if I painted one more time in my life...I would paint anyway and give my life up" Meaning what would you literally die for?

I was trying to make a point. That according to the way you explained things (before this last video) that we don't exist, then there is no point in trying to realize and live with the fact that that is true...we might as well enjoy the illusion. Well now that youve changed your story and that we actually do exist. Or you're "re-explaining" what you meant, so now I don't want to be a chimp anymore ! I appreciate your clarification in this latest video because I really thought you meant we don't exist! I thought you meant it literally and from peoples responses to me it confirmed that they also understood it literally.

Kini...You are asking a good question. Leo's understanding of things does not answer your question. There is more to the picture than he thinks or if he knows he's not saying. What Leo said in this latest video is almost there but not 100%. By the way most people here wont agree with what Im saying. But your question is TOO good and Leos view of things doesn't explain it. I believe that Leo's amazing ability to do research and go through different traditions and sort of pick out what makes sense to him is great. I believe one day he will get a more accurate view of the world and the truth! Just know that theres still a missing piece of the puzzle according to his explanation and that missing piece will answer your question. But have respect for Leo's sincere quest for the truth. He will get there one day

My point exactly...life is empty of meaning...nothing exists...I might as well just enjoy this awesome candy shop of the world! Why spend my life trying to realize and live with the fact fact that I don't exist and nothing exists...Meaning...IF thats true then seems better to me just to enjoy the pleasures of life. (Of course knowing that nothing really exists and its all an illusion and its not really "ME" who's enjoying those things because who I think is "me" isnt really me, its just the thoughts in my head making me think this body is really me...according to leo)
