  1. 1. Contemplation: ( This is Leo's defenition of contemplation). Openly pondering questions that you are interested in with focus and without bias in order to inquire into the nature of a thing. The truth or the essence of something. In contemplation, we ask the question " What is it?" Contemplation also helps in deconstracting the ego. If you ever feel it's very hard to stay focus with your enlightenment work is because you have not comtaplated questions related to your prior beliefs, assumptions, and views on life. Thus, to the formation of your ego. What is a name? Am I my name.... What is another? Who are the other people I live with? What are my brother, my mother, etc. What is my mind? Do I really have a mind? Where is my mind located, etc. What is Karma? What is language? What is government? What is a race? What is birth? Was I born? How do I know I was born? What is time? What is dogma?
  2. Hi guys When I sit down to meditate, I feeel I am entering a new phase or stage of meditation. I think it is time to use psychedelics to more forward. I can't acquire psychedelics, though, so I want to ask wether it is possible to use Hash( it is very easy to acquire it where I live) Will it help? Any idea?
  3. @Elisabeth " While the part change, the whole always remains the same. For every thief who departs this world, a new one is born. And every descent person who passes away is replaced by a new one. In this way not only does nothing remain the same but also nothing ever really changes. For every Sufi (mystic) who dies, another is born somewhere."- shams of tabriz
  4. Why is a projection of your mind. There is no why in being.
  5. @Blue is the sea Masterying the core teaching of the Buddha is one of the best books I have read about spirituality so far, although I have not practiced very well.
  6. @Angelique I think most people communicate in an unconscious way. In other words, they communicate based on Self-agenda, self-survival, and self- interest. The more aware you become, the more you realise how this is true.
  7. hi guys Meditating for 1 or 2 hours a day will not do you any favor in this work. You have to go intense. INTENSITY It is only through intensity that one arrives. When all your desires, when all your passions become one flame, it is intensity. When there is only one desire left inside you and your total being supports that one, it is intensity. It is exactly what the word says: in-tensity. The opposite word is ex-tensity. You are spread out, you have a thousand and one desires, many fragmentary desires - one going to the north, one going to the south. You are being pulled apart. You are not one, you are a crowd. And if you are a crowd you will be miserable. If you are a crowd you will never feel any fulfillment. You don´t have any center. Intensity means creating a center in yourself. When all the arrows are coming towards the center, when all the fragments are joined together, integration arises. Becoming centered, concentrated inwards, that is the meaning of intensity. Sometimes you have known moments, in some danger when all your thought disappear, the crowd will become one. In that moment you will be one single individual, indivisible. You will be undivided, one unity. The death facing you has created the intensity. Or in love sometimes there is intensity. All else becomes irrelevant, peripheral. Only the love is all and the whole of your heart. When such intensity arises in meditation, it brings you to the ultimate. You arrive home. Osho, The Wisdom of the Sands, Vol. 1, Talk #2
  8. @Leo Gura What is, in your experience, the alternative of war and of people fighting over their identity and culture?
  9. @Little Plant People would rather kill each other than admit they are wrong!!
  10. Thank you all guys for your answers. Very much appreciated
  11. That's the exact reason why people have been marching, because the Berber people are descriminated by the Arab regime.
  12. Morocco. The tension is so high. People have been marching already. It seems that things are getting worse and worse. As a self-actualizer, I just want to know what I should be doing!!
  13. @Mondsee I see. It's very hard and takes time to build a conscious life. Maybe, you should start to build a conscious lifestyle. Try ahead to live in a rural, isolated place, where there is no disctraction. Strategize NOW. Life is so precious.
  14. @Mondsee Why do you find it hard to keep on track with your meditation practice?!
  15. The Journal is over! Yesterday, I came back from a 10 day Sufi retreat. It's a spiritual retreat based on: Fasting, Prayers, Meditation (mantra meditation), and all other spiritual stuff. I had some strong insight....... Ignorance is a bliss. I need to move somewhere else: it becomes very strong after this retreat. I waste a lot of time online.
  16. 25/May/2017 Hi guys What Is Ramadan? the ninth month of the Muslim year, during which strict fasting is observed from sunrise to sunset. I have been fasting in Ramadan for years now since I was very young, but I always did in a traditional way. This year would be the first one where I will force myself to fast in a wise way, for enlightenment of course. What am I looking for after Ramadan? Some new insights. Expanding my awareness. Reading two new books Becoming a meditation master. What is the plan? 8 hours of meditation daily. 1 am to 7 am. ( More if I can ) Contemplating, what are values? where do values and ethics come from? Practicing Mindfulness meditation; See, Feel Label. And of course fasting from sunrise to sunset.
  17. 3/05/2017 Clear Being I honor those who try to rid themselves of lying, who empty the self and have only clear being there. Longing Longing is the core of mystery. Longing itself brings the cure. The only rule is, Suffer the pain. Your desire must be disciplined, and what you want to happen in time, sacrificed.
  18. 2/05/2017 Something I have learnt Normative expectation: A belief a person holds on how other people should behave. Empirical expectation: What I believe people do. Personal normative belief: It is what I believe I should do, or what I believe people , in general, should do. Yesterday, I was able to meditate for 4 hours, but in a separate way. There is a lot going on in my country, marching, protesting, ect. I had an amazing insight about society. I realized that people hardly change. Culture is like a phenomenon that happens in nature. You can hardly break. In other words, you can hardly change people's mindset. That's what Shams said to Rumi. "The midwife knows that when there is no pain, the way for the baby cannot be opened and the mother cannot give birth. Likewise, for a new self to be born, hardship is necessary. Just as clay needs to go through intense heat to become strong, Love can only be perfected in pain"- Shams
  19. You said one day in the forum that values are ego-transcendent?? Can you elaborate on this, please? what are values? and how are they ego-transcendent or ego driven?
  20. 30/05/2017 Denial Of Suffering suffering is something we usually do not want to know. We just want to get rid of it. As soon as there is any inconvenience or annoyance, the tendency of an unawakened human being is to get rid of it or suppress it. One can see why modern society is so caught up in seeking pleasure and delight and what is new, exciting and romantic. We tend to emphasize the beauties and pleasures of youth whilst the ugly side of life- old age, sickness, death, and boredom, despair and depression, are pushed aside. When we find ourselves with something we don't like, we try to to get away from it to something we do not like. If we feel frightened, we try to find safety. This is a perfectly natural thing to do. This is how human being denies their suffering...
  21. 28/05/2017 The Basket Of Frech Bread If you want to learn theory, talk with theoreticians. That way is oral. When you learn a craft, practice it. That learning comes through the hands. If you want dervishhood, spiritual poverty and emptiness, you must be friends with a teacher. Talking about it, reading books, and doing practices don’t help. Soul receives from soul that knowing. The mystery of absence may be living in your pilgrim heart, and yet the knowing of it may not yet be yours. Wait for the illuminated openness, as though your chest were filling with light, as when God said, Did we not expand you? (Qur’an 57:4) Don’t look for it outside yourself. You are the source of milk. Don’t milk others! There is a fountain inside you. Don’t walk around with an empty bucket. You have a channel into the ocean, yet you ask for water from a little pool. Beg for the love expansion. Meditate only on THAT. The Qur’an says, And he is with you. (57:4) There is a basket of fresh bread on your head, yet you go door to door asking for crusts. Knock on the inner door, no other. Sloshing knee-deep in fresh riverwater, yet you keep asking for other people’s waterbags. Water is everywhere around you, but you see only barriers that keep you from water. The horse is beneath the rider’s thighs, and still you ask, “Where’s my horse?” Right there, My Plans I meditated only for 1 hour today. I was not able to follow my journal because of distraction.
  22. @electroBeam lol This is actually a serious question to contemplate? What is Orange? How orange becomes orange? why is it that orange countries are always in the front? and of course, why did we call it orange?
  23. @Loreena Ok I see. They are all orange, though!!
