Decide for yourself what sport you like. Does tennis cause head injury? Soccer, basketball, etc.

Might be enlightened, doubt it, not interested. You'd be better off studying Ramana's material. Why not study the best material? -
@StarStruck That's probably why it doesn't let you make pictures of people. I've found Copilot to be a bit more restrictive.

What do you mean? You seem to be essentially asking: Can I lie my way into what's true? We may understand something intellectually but fail to experientially reproduce the insight. There are also degrees of understanding. It is common for us to pretend to be honest in order to serve one's self-agenda, which is basically a form of lying. So, contemplate what being honest is. Tell the truth, mostly to yourself. For example, why did you ask such a question? Do you feel constrained by honesty, where lying could more easily provide you with what you want? Which social lies? You could also ask: What is social? -
Looks like him but it's supposed to be Carl Jung.

While contemplating, answers are irrelevant; what we're after is insight. People confuse similar expressions with shared experience – with the expression being sourced by the same experience or insight. However, parroting hearsay is in reality the popular approach. I may share some profound axiom or truism such as "form is emptiness, emptiness is form", however, without the direct consciousness that sourced the creation of such communication in the first place, I might as well jerk off. Are you communicating something real or passing down hearsay while trying to convince yourself of its validity? This is a subtle form of self-deception. Make the work yours, that is, be the one in the driver's seat, generating insights independent of study, opinion and belief. This is the only way it's going to work.

@StarStruck Did you use Copilot? It seems to be more restrictive. GPT came up with this:

Should pay for the plus version which offers DALL-E 3 and/or try Copilot for free.

Good question. Me, firstly. It is the case that it is generated by you, not circumstances. Then, certain activities assist me in feeling happy -- meditating, reading, contemplating some profound question, walking my dog, writing down insights, understanding something. -

Is attachment a function of identification? Does one become attached to whatever one identifies with? Why does the need for attachment exist?

I think so, yes.

Some of the downsides of technology. Socrates criticized the invention of writing, thinking that it'd stifle people's memory. You can of course find upsides to any tech as well.

UnbornTao replied to AerisVahnEphelia's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@AerisVahnEphelia Didn't claim to be. If I pointed a gun at you, you'd have to concede that you're self-deceived, likely conflating concepts with direct understanding. Do not try to lie your way into the truth. Not being conscious of one's nature (enlightened) is OK. If you've had one or a few enlightenment experiences -- not small ifs -- don't rest on your laurels. There's a bunch of stuff to look into. If you do understand everything there is to understand, you'd be in the same "place" as Gautama. Hard to believe that claim is accurate. -

You came here to be acknowledged and validated. You might have had an enlightenment experience or two, but you're fooling yourself about your claim. You're likely conflating beliefs with consciousness of truth.
