  1. I haven't really studied his stuff yet but from a few of his quotes it's clear to me that he was enlightened. Appreciated the quotes!
  2. I find myself continuously revisiting the practice of mindfulness and its power. Just being able to maintain one's focus and sensitivity towards something increases effectiveness and makes space for powerful observations to take place. The difference is jarring compared to the more common experience of being overwhelmed, distracted and stressed. There's beauty to any activity when it is carried out mindfully. There's a richness to life that's easily taken for granted unless full attention is given to our present experience. Apply this principle of "one thing at a time with all your focus" into everyday life. After ecstasy, the laundry, right? Then you might as well learn to master the laundry.
  3. Yep. Are they toxic? What about canned legumes like beans? I mean the "fast food" ones with tomate sauce and all that. They may contain some harmful compounds, I've read somewhere.
  4. Soundtracks included? Epic music: Faded by Alan Walker Chopin.
  5. No. Enlightenment is independent of experience. Neither is it an experience or set thereof, no matter how grand and dramatic. The absolute is already the case whether one is angry, blissful, hungry or bored.
  6. Vernon Howard strikes me as a "real" man and a mature person. Some of his videos:
  7. Recognize and eliminate beliefs and assumptions you have about yourself, life, the world and reality. Now you can truly question what anything is.
  8. He can go out of his way!
  9. As I was looking into what intention is, I realized something: prior to being cognizant of the decision, I already know what I'm going to decide. That is to say, intent is present without having to go through the process of figuring out what decision to take. Check it out! On a related note, I've also been using confusion as a pretext to feeling justified in putting things off, even though the intent was there all along! I just was unaware or playing coy so that I could go on procrastinating.
  10. Grounded. Able to stand on its own feet. Able to pursue something independent of, and beyond, himself.
  11. Not a movie, but Until Dawn is even more disturbing as it has an interactive component. In terms of movies I don't think I have anything to offer.
  12. Go to notap.com where you'll find a supportive anti-water community.
  13. I only know three or four in this list
  14. Primary: 1.7 Secondary: 2.3
  15. There's a physiological need, as when holding in your pee or wanting to sneeze. An important reaction after doing it is relief!
  16. Nice. Also many seemed to conflate their hatred and disgust at Joel's death with a bad story. Neil also confirmed that Naughty Dog is done with Uncharted. Oh well.
  17. What does this mean? Is it seriously just 1? Oh man, the perfect score for a narcissist.
  18. I've been observing this in my own experience and interactions: we as a society don't feel like we can be truly authentic. Why? What prevents you from being fully, authentically you? Some interesting food for contemplation.
  19. @Osaid robot parrot.
  20. You're right. I was assuming that you'd pick one of the latest high-end ones. Personally, I'd just follow your advice and buy one from two or three years ago, especially if all I'm using it for is basic tasks.
