Build momentum in the day. First do the simpelest task to get the snowball rolling. Then do harder and harder tasks until you are steam rolling.

I think jealousy and revenge are emotions, passion is more of a state of mind. They are not personality traits. Maybe people with Dark Triad personality traits are more likely to experience such emotions. The whole thing to me though it's like this: The word "Dark" already indicates a form of judgement. But maybe it's just better to acknowledge those personality traits for what they are. Like I said before in the end a human is just a highly advanced monkey. The more primitive parts of the human brain are still very much monkey like. That's where people 'drives' come from. Well what is a monkey? A monkey is a social creature that lives in a social group and within that group there is an established hiearchy. And the monkey tries to fit into that hiearchy. Of course it's more advantageous to be at the top of the hiearchy then at the bottom of the hiearchy. The 'Dark Triad monkey' is more adapt to make that rise to the top of the hiearchy. Survival of the fittest. Now if you see a tiger kill a deer, you are not going to say "bad bad tiger", no that's just what a tiger does. The same goes for a monkey. Don't judge a monkey for being power hungry and wanting to sit on top of the monkey rock. That's just what a monkey is/does. It's the same for people. If you are able to embrace your 'Dark side' that's just survival of the fittest.

Dark Triad personality traits are often found in succesful people. Also in people with succesful careers. Narcissism, Machiavellianism, and Psychopathy are the three Dark Triad personality traits. Those traits lead to a willingness/need to dominate over others. Since we are all just highly advanced Apes the most dominant people will have better mating options.

"Experience is the name we give to our mistakes" So a person with a lot of experience is also a person who fucked up a lot.

Anyone else ever reaches the point where you are just bored of chasing and getting girls. Like I can easily get them if I want to but I really don't want to waste my time and headspace on it. Just really bored with it. I much rather would just go hiking, or to the gym, or work on my career, or fix some food or something. It just really hit me suddenly.

Then he needs to find another job. Environment is a big issue when one tries to get rid of drug abuse. I would just go with Uber and then you can figure out another career path for him together. Landscaping is a dead end job anyways.

@zoey101 I am just making a guess and it's his colleagues that got him involved in those drugs. So he better quit that job. (Make sure first that's actually the case.)

I don't think you have much to consider. It seems like he only just started using. So not too much damage has been done to him yet. I really get the impression that this guy has been pulling the cart for a while and he started doing meth for the fun of it. Because he (you) really didn't have much else going on. I could have gone bang a bunch of girls but he got a wife and kid so he started doing drugs, those are really the only two things a guy can do (and drink) if you are bungling down the food chain. What work does he do? Because one thing with drugs is environment. If he is doing drugs with his colleagues he is better off driving Uber or something.

@zoey101 if you both work then where are the money problems from? There are several problems he is having I read. His friends death, his grandpa's death, your sister living in the house. If you want him to get off the drugs I would tell your sister to leave. It is just adding to it all.

This is probably not really the moment to do this, but I feel sorry for your husband. It's the political correct thing to do, to bash him after the dickhead things he has done, but I got to say I get the impression that a lot is weighing on him, and he is really not getting much help from anywhere. Just telling him don't do meth is not a winning action plan.
