  1. @Star Net @Star Net How do you know? Just because a few people sit here all of the time that doesn't apply to the rest. Perhaps you are projecting based on your own life?
  2. Nice man. I threw my gaming pc away 3 weeks ago and sold my PS4 last week. Trying to sell my 65" flatscreen as well. It's been strange with all the time i have on my hands now, but it needed to happen. Procrastinating with video games has probably been my biggest way of distracting myself all my life. Anyways, good luck going forward!
  3. @Sopot The free videoes should be more than enough to motivate you. If they can't, the problem with motivaiton wont be solved by watching more videoes. Yes, the purpose course can probably add motivation but go back and look at the free foundational videos and actually apply the information. if you actually did that you probably wouldnt even care about the life purpose course. i'm not trying to be harsh but ive been in the same situiation where i thought more and more videos will solve my problems and help me instead it can only turn into another mental masturbatory distraction.
  4. All the free content Leo has out is more than enough for most people, if you actually apply just 10% of the content in the free videos you wouldn't need the life purpose course. I have the course and it's great but you really don't need it if you actually use the information you already have availiable.
  5. This is a great implementation and i think it will remove a lot of posts people make just in order to get some kind of acknowledgement, and leave room for posts that people make without thinking about gathering points. Removing the point system removes a pointless distraction the mind has an easy way of getting addicted to. I see a lot of resistance to this change here based on an assumption that high points being some sort of automatic sign of quality. This is a very limited view in my opinion, a lot of high point posts i've seen have been horrible. A consensus is not an automatic sign of quality, just look at how our world works.
  6. I'd try ayahuasca if i were you. It's not as extreme as iboga, yet pretty hardcore. To my knowledge it's a lot safer than iboga. Just came back from a three week ayahuasca retreat in the peruvian jungle, i'd say my anxiety levels are the lowest in about 10 years. I'll probably make a seperate post about it later but i'd give ayahuasca a shot if shrooms/lsd haven't done it for you. There's no reason to start with the most extreme option.
  7. Depends how you define spacing out. My definition of spacing out is the opposite of meditation. What you're doing sounds like meditation.
  8. I just reached level 23 enlightenment and spent my points on leveling up my telekinetic abilities!
  9. This is literally the opposite of true. How you view a situation is dependent on several factors which are beyond "your"(lol) control. You don't choose the thoughts that affect how you view a situation. You dont choose the neurochemistry that affects your state of mind. You dont choose if your brain(which is what you observe reality through) understand how to handle a situation properly. All these are factors which control how you view a situation and look at life. There is no "you" that controls how you view the world. Just look at society, you really think people control how they view the world? Everyones brain is affected by millions of years of evolutionary psychology that affects every little decision you take. Even the most enlightened masters don't have this myth of free will, if they even become enlightened is a stroke of luck which is beyond their control. And giving up this false sense of control is what you have to do to move forward, not try to reinforce it. I didn't choose the thoughts or state of mind that made me write these exact sentences, it's a result of millions of different factors coming together at once. And if you actually managed to use some supernatural abilities to choose the thoughts that made you write this text, then how did that happen? These are all good things to believe, because a growth mindset will help you in the long run. It doesnt make it true though. I agree that bringing a higher state of consciousness into your vessel will give you a sense of more power and free will, but it will still be an illusion. What is the one thing that actually makes someone able to bring this consciousness into themselves versus someone who doesnt? Is it this free will, or is it just a different kind of circumstance along with a different person? My bet is on the latter.
  10. @Uberverse No free will is a limiting belief if you identify yourself as a seperate person with your own thoughts, feelings etc that you are in control of. Although 99% of people live like this, a little bit of meditation proves how wrong this is pretty fast. The times i've been able to truly give up the illusion of control and free will, i've felt extremely free and liberated. You still won't have free will though, but you'll just embrace the journey as an observer and this gives a tremendous feeling of freedom, at least it does for me the times i've actually accomplished it.
  11. Having no free will isn't necessarily a limiting belief. Also, it's one of the things that become so abundantly clear after self inquiry and introspection, at least for me. This may sound paradoxical, but when you truly give up your clinging to the illusion of free will, you somehow become very free.
  12. Perhaps it is because you are forcing it? Force will only get you so far. Reprogramming your subconscious is a lengthy task but it can make things you had to force flow authentically if you are able to do it. An example of this is that i personally hated to make food before, saw it as a bore and something that just had to be done in order to not starve. After a year my outlook on this has completely changed. I take my time making food, do it mindfully and i am much healthier. How did i do this? I can't point down a single thing but its a combination of seeing the bigger picture of what good nutrition can do for you and trying to find joy in things i previously despised because of laziness. I had to ask myself why i always resisted getting up and cooking. It took time, but now its easier for me to make better and more complex dishes, while at the same time enjoying it. Food isnt the same as homework, but the same principles apply. Try to see your studies in a bigger perspective. Ask yourself questions. Why are you actually learning this? Why is this a part of human knowledge? What do we need this for? How does this information connect to my own existence? Mindlessly doing homework without asking yourself questions about the subject will make you burnt out. Mindfully doing anything with seeing a bigger picture will make you go all the way. And it wont be hard, it'll just flow. Last thing, slow and steady wins the race. Don't do the trap and try to force this information either. Just have faith in the process and let time make the knowledge grow into your brain. There is no rush. Rushing will just make things go slower in the long run and even if it doesn't it will probably make you miserable.
  13. The only reason you and I are not one of them are certain circumstances and random events brought us here. If they had the same events happen perhaps they would sit here whining about you. My point is, you're incredibly lucky if you're here, and starting to see through all this hollow stuff. So instead of being disgusted by them and their behavior, show some understanding and realise its just random that you're not one of them. It's not a choice you made, and neither did they. Be grateful for that and your hate will probably subside.
  14. Perhaps you should ask yourself where the need for more videos comes from. The content of his videos, if practiced thourougly is already enough for several lifetimes. If you actually commit to what they say there wouldnt be need for more. If you watch the videos just for entertainments sake i can see why you'd want more.
  15. Leo has said over and over again in his videos that you should practice skepticism even at everything he says and think for yourself. If people still fall in to the trap of following him blindly, thats too bad. But that's not something he can control and when he's reiterated time and time again that people shouldnt blindly follow him he's done what he can. The rest is up to the viewer. Sadly, there will always be people that won't get that, even if you tell them 100 times. So, IMO he's done his part, so why should he take responsibility if people can't understand something that has been said countless times? Also, in reality no one really is responsible for anything, i know that might be hard to swallow but it's true. Inquire more and you will probably at a certain point figure out that free will is just imaginary. Therefore trying to keep people responsible for things that are out of their control will just lead to more suffering.
  16. In my experience, things usually get worse before they get better when you're working on yourself and your issues
  17. Stop trying to achieve anything is a good start
  18. I am struggling with the same. I know intellectually there is a lot of stuff i cant control, yet i try to all the time. Just be aware that you will never be able to force acceptance, either it happens or it wont. Just be mindful of this and it might happen someday. If you try to force it, it will just become harder in my experience. True acceptance is effortless.
  19. The human brain is wired to find patterns, one of the disadvantages aboutthis is that we see patterns where there are none. This can easily create conspiracy theories. Also, they serve as a great distraction from people with personal problems and boring lives. I remember many years ago when i was totally into conspiracy theories and swallowed most of them, at the same point my personal life was a total mess. But it served it's purpose as a distraction. And last, there is the satisfaction the ego gets by thinking that it knows something that other people don't. Here conspiracy theories can provide a feeling of superiority, which is appealing to many.
  20. Don't worry, and don't try to force it. Just realise that there's nothing to do, and nothing to know, and it'll probably come after a while. Personally i've been noticing it more and more the last months when i've just let go instead of forcing and controlling it.
  21. In my experience, when you don't struggle at all. When it just flows like a river without any resistance. The more egoic/neurotic my actions and desires are, the more resistance i encounter and it's harder succeed. If you encounter this state of being, you'll probably know.
  22. I would definitely have insurance, not having to worry about your health and money problems if you became sick is worth a lot in itself. Also, if you got really sick, 1000 bucks wouldn't cover anything.
  23. As someone who frequents the gym as well, consciousness work has had the opposite effect. I've become much more accepting towards this kind of behaviour because its just how it is and i can see the underlying processes that fuel this behaviour. Perhaps it's just a stage, if you progress enough you'll probably realise that its nothing to be annoyed at. I was like this a while ago though, now i just laugh inside me in a playful way because it doesnt offend me any longer. Dont be judgmental at yourself though, just be mindful of these thoughts and judgements and it will probably pass on after a while.
