@Dunnel are you taking any medication? There is no harm in asking to be put on antidepressants for a while while you can work on the root cause just so that you can feel normal. Don't give up on yourself mate. You have so much to live and fight for. Never stop seeking help. We have a lot of highly conscious individuals on this forum who offer coaching, reach out to some of them. Take care !

this is actually really interesting and I'd absolutely love to get a perspective of an anthropologist on this to find out whether this is true or not. Some time ago I did look into 3-4 studies specifically looking at remains of hominins and sort of an analysis of their diet. What they all agreed on was that it was not the cooking or meat per se but the adaptation to hunting from foraging, development of hunting strategies, crafting weapons, learning how to cook food better, how to track animals etc. Hunting a wild animal would take a lot of collaborative effort and its not like you would pull out a rifle 20,000 years ago and snap a deer. It would take an entire tribe easily a full day to track down and kill a wild animal. This was an extremely energy-demanding activity and there is risk that if you fail, members of the tribe would starve to death -> the stress would adapt your brain even further. But in times of winter or scarcity, meat would naturally be more dominant simply because the ground was frozen and nothing was growing not because somehow the hominins realised "oh this is so good for me", it was all survival.

try this ibsdiets.org/fodmap-diet/fodmap-food-list/ There are also apps for phone that help you get a quick check if you're up and about. Regarding berberine, I would try something that also has some goldenseal combined with berberine in it, for more complex antimicrobial effect. Oregano oil, usually 2-3 drops with a lot of water before meals 3 times a day. If it burns your mouth too much, stay at 1 drop.

Start here and see if this helps. If SIBO is present, LF diet will reduce the bloating. Consider cutting out gluten as well,. It is important that LF diet is 100%, complete eradication for these 2 weeks. Even small amount of high F carbohydrates or polyols can trigger methane production and give you symptoms. I would test out 2 weeks and see if that makes any difference. If it does, you may consider adding a 1-2 weeks of berberine combined with oregano oil along with some extra psyllium husk (up to 6g/day) to mop up the LPS bodies. Alternatively you can try it all together -> low fodmap + berberine + oregano + psyllium for 2-4 weeks. If you see that being effective, let us know and we can help you with going forward

raw fruitarians with severe eating disorder and mental disease caused by complete protein starvation and malnutrition. Sv3rige is an expert in giving these extreme cases of sick people to try to create an image that this is what a vegan looks like. This is not what healthy vegan does to you. Don't forget this guys has built a channel on being a critic of veganism. For the same reason, I would not watch someone as toxic as vegan gains or frank Tufano. You are unlikely to get anything but cherrypicking and personal bias. Veganism or Plant Based eating can be as healthy as you want it to be but can also be toxic and unhealthy for those who don't know what they are doing

Hey @Bogdan can you share a bit more about your lifestyle, diet, activity, sleep etc? have you formally been diagnosed with SIBO? Have you had a methane/hydrogen breath test or lactulose test or stool test to confirm medically that this is happening?

@Twega With any autoimmunity, there is nearly always a gut health problem. Increased gut permeability is a common issue. Once antigens of different foods start falling through, they trigger an immune reaction and because we have now manipulated food to sometimes appears similar to our own tissue (by accident) a haywire immune reaction to a protein from food may resemble a tissue of our own (e..g thyroid tissue) and so the immune system goes a bit bonkers. At least this is one of the theories behind autoimmunity. Anyways, so gut health probably plays a role here. Intolerances and sensitivities would give you an indication of leaky gut as well. Poor balance of fatty acids may cause deficiency of Resolvins (they are dependant on eicosanoids derived from alpha-linolenic acid and DHA) . Is she omega 6 dominant? Prolonged chronic stress is another one Vitamin D deficiency especially a one that has been going on for long time is common especially if she was not exposed to maternal vitamin D in abundance, for example in MS being born to a mother deficient in vitamin D is a great risk factor. Other things are proinflammatory diets (heavy in animal foods, deficient in plants) Get her diet as close to plant-based, reduce her saturated fats, consider shot-term reduction of dairy and see if that helps and definitely get her see a specialist in gut healing (if that's the cause). A functional medicine doctor or ND may help her more than an endocrinologist unless she wants to remain on meds which is also an option for some people. Bear in mind that she HAS TO take thyroid medication if her thyroid is slow until she can fix it because unmanaged hypothyroidism is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease
-
bear in mind we are not talking about members of the forum (mostly), this applies to your regular Joe who doesn't exercise, who doesn't eat fibre and who eats excessive amounts of SFA and processed carbohydrates. Now imagine this dude hears "saturated fats is not a problem" for him this translates into: eat all the bacon and beef you'd like. You can say "saturated fats are fine" to people who eat 50 grams of fibre per day but not to people who get the majority of their calories from shitfood. We can discuss amongst us where the cutoff point for SFA is and why different meta analyses produce different risk ratios and what they did and didn't control for and whether linoleic acid or arachidonic acid plays a role in heart disease but in the end the important thing is, what is average person with close to zero nutritional knowledge going to do. The advice these people are getting these days is extremely conflicting and for 80% of these people eating fewer animal products and eating more vegetables, nuts and legumes are beneficial. That is unless they have an eating disorder but here you once again enter the region of oversaturation with information rather than lack therof.

no evidence of harm whatsoever. Fear of antinutrients is based on some silly invitro science, nothing to do with real life. Consuming foods containing lectins and phytates is associated with reduced all-cause mortality from all sources. Btw did you know that even meat can contain antinutrients? Oh and so can dairy and eggs. you need to consume Omega 6s as well as Omega 3s. Let's not vilify all fats. Would you rather we consume lard and tallow? I know your opinion on nutritional science is that it is load of rubbish but otherwise we are pulling stuff out of our assess If you take 100 people, put them in lab, feed them high saturated fat, low-fibre diet for 3 months you will see a rapid acceleration of cardiovascular disease marker and markers of systemic inflammation. Naturally, we don't have such studies because who would survive locked in lab... Have you ever seen a walnut tree? It is fucking huge. How are you gonna spray that through the year? Walnut takes 10-15 years to grow before it gives you first nuts. You can spray blueberry bushes ofcourse but most trees are not sprayed that heavily simply because of their sheer size. Same for cherries, the cherry tree can grow to be 15 meters big ass gigantic tree. Once the tree achieves a certain age, the berries just grow every year (unless something happens). My grandparents have an orchard, I've seen those trees blossom my whole life giving a shit load of cherries, walnuts, hazelnuts, plums, pears, apples. You can grow IMMENSE amount of fruits & nuts without needing to use fertilisers. I mean really really immense. Enough to feed a small village (from single orchard).

I did talked with Rap so I knew. I also knew he has that agressivness and seriousness. I love it. Masculine frame. Love it. Not Matt Kahn not Matt Kahn. Will start chanting this. Dream come True baby, Dream come true. Ok but be careful what you wish for in certain cases. @zeroISinfinity what the actual f**k you talking bout bruh?
-
I dunno man this sounds like one of these things where mechanistic data are not a representation of real situation. Consumption of nuts is associated with a reduction of all causes of mortality, reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer and improve brain function, fertility etc. The argument against PUFAs due to thyroid hormone conversion is probably based on some invitro studies, I'd love to see some systemic analysis of hypothyroid patients linking their thyroid condition to excessive PUFA consumption

I've always imagined you as something between Gandalf and Dumbledore. A wise master. Less beard and without the cloaks maybe ? Such a pleasure to meet the man behind the name ?

Yes, learn shadow boxing, get a punching bag or find a sparing partner for boxing pads. Unleash your anger in the boxing gym

@kray try this https://athleanx.com/xero Beware thou, he will put you through hell and back but you will become strong as an ox using only your body. @BlackMaze can testify

Then experiment with the following (note that none of these will fix the root cause, they numb symptoms without side effects to allow you to work on the root cause by the following advice from Nahm, Mandy or Mu_ above and working on your diet and exercise. * Lemon Balm (Melissa Officinalis) - good evidence in anxiety, mildly sedative and mildly adaptogenicFor dosages, follow what is on the bottle * Chamomile - Excelent agonist of GABA (relaxing neurotransmitter). Commonly found in teas * Valerian Root Extract (Valeriana Officinalis) - somewhat sedative so best taken away from when you have to drive or work with heavy machinery. This is a great sleep aid. You can find extract in capsules, tinctures or a tea. Valerian is like your natural Valium without taking all the toxic stuff in. * St John's Wort (Hypericum Perforatum) - this MUST NOT at any cost be mixed with SSRIs or 5HTP or Tryptophan. SJW has the best evidence of effect by far by some people expect nausea with it. * Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera) - this is an adaptogen more than a sedative so this helps you push over the first adaptation level. Again, it does not fix the root cause but a lot of people feel great on this. It would however not be my first go to. * Ginkgo Biloba- ginkgo is an excellent supporter of BDNF and neuroplasticity so this may be effective in later stages once you start working on everything else. TRY TO APPROACH THIS AS FOLLOWING * Stay away from caffeine & all energy drinks * Get a tea from either Chamomile or Lemon Balm and drink that throughout the day * Alongside that consider getting a capsulated extract of either Valerian Root or St John's Wort * If you have time, practice some light yoga, or find a local pullup bar and get the blood flowing * also consider getting your vitamin D checked as @mandyjw suggested, this could indeed make a profound difference if your levels low * and finally if there is a deep trauma or emotional scars, those need to be healed otherwise the anxiety may not go away completely, I think Nahm and Mu have a lot to say about that Good luck! Drop me a line if you have any Qs

Are you currently on any SSRI/SNRIs/TCAs? Or any other pharmaceuticals?

Actually running will be very counterproductive in this. What you are looking for is strength training. As you increase your muscle mass, your metabolic activity will increase through rise of testosterone and irisine. The more muscle you have the higher your resting metabolic rate and the easier it is to burn that excess fat. Consuming at least 1.4 grams of protein per 1kg of bodyweight will also help. You may temporarily go as high as 2g / kg but I would stay away from things such as whey protein or any concentrated animal protein powders if you value your health Making sure you eat regular meals, no skipping, no fasting. Start with proper large breakfast made of a good amount of complex carbs, fruits, good fats and some protein. Make sure you put regular mechanical pressure on your muscles (e.g. weights or bodyweight, calisthenics) that sot of stuff. Sleep is also essential. If the sleep is insufficient, fat loss is impossible because your stress hormones will override everything else when you are fatigued from lack of sleep
-
couple things I see here that may help. 1. if you're eating a lot of simple carbs you'll be riding an insulin rollercoaster which has a direct impact on your stress hormones -> anxiety rises 2. lack of exercise also has profound negative effects on mood -> exercise stimulates BDNF your main stimulator of neroplasticity -> basically exercise helps your brain to adapt and rewire, this is essential in anxiety 3. cigarettes will absolutely destroy your mood and energy Anyways, these are the 3 areas that if you put work into your anxiety will reduce at least by 50-70%. Happy to help you in that if you'd like.

@Someone here on the top of what guys many times wiser than me already advised, I would be curious what is the current state of your health: * what's your diet like? * sleep? * exercise routine? * any addictions? * stressors in life? * digestive problems? * any mold, toxins in house? * any medication? * any ongoing health condition?

I agree with @Twega why not empower seekers on the forum to look for natural ways as well. Natural sulforaphane is an incredibly powerful promoter of the glucuronidation phase of liver detoxification. DMSA + ALA are kinda like treating illness with pharmaceuticals, it gets the job done but creates no change in behaviour, we are once again back to "magic pill solution".

@seeking_brilliance thank you, I will check this out.

Seems like the stress is coming from being at too many places at the same time (mentally) and multitasking on too many different fronts. Has your daughter been investigated by a gastroenterologist? Have they done any tests? Have they ruled out intolerances or allergies? Also things like IBS are common and if she is little, colic are a very likely possibility. Get her tested properly, make sure her stool is investigated for markers of inflammation and intolerances. Most of all don't let them stuff her with antibiotics without reason. Also regarding your personal situation, what are other work options? Less stressful. Are there any recruitment companies you could speak to. Does the ministry of work offer any things? To manage the anxiety attacks a session of deep abdominal breathing can help you calm down but I think there are some changes you may need to do in your life to fully eradicate that stress. Also it seems to me like maybe your life would be better back in Russia? Migration is not always beneficial, a lot of people migrate and end up hating their jobs and their lives.

Interesting, I believe Gabby Bernstein describes something similar in Universe Has Your Back. Thanks, please do share if you find anything helpful

i'd be curious to learn more about how to do this

@Lyubov why not snap a few selfies. Give us, trashy dressers, few ideas
