You have seen the void that shallow materialism creates. Congratulations on this realisation in 18! Man, I wish I had this epiphany it in your age. Perhaps you are not ready to go into spirituality yet so look for ways the material world can provide you with relief first. 1. Clean up your diet Get rid of dairy, highly processed meats, sugary, heavy starchy foods and vegetable oils. Increase your intake of vegetables (the more colour the better), fruits (no limits), add more nuts, seeds and legumes. Chug mangoes, berries and lemons down your throat like there is no tomorrow. Your gut and your brain are connected by Enteric Nervous System. Your gut is also the factory for the neurotransmitter serotonin, clean it and you will feel the difference in your mind clarity. The less cooked food, the better. 2. Start exercising Exercise also stimulates the production of neurotransmitters. Your lymphatic system (the body's sewer) system is very likely stagnated which could be contributing to your depression. Unlike the blood having the heart, this system does not have a pump, you need to get it moving using your skeletal muscles. Exercise is one of the fastest way to feel better about life, the effects are immediate! Read "Spark" bY J.J.Ratey if you are curious about more intot his topic. 3. Start looking for something meaningful in life Perhaps you don't see that yet but there's bound to be something. If you have the money, consider buying Leo's life purpose course. I can't say how much that has been transitioning my life throughout past 2 years. You find a true calling ion your life and you will become a new human. 4. Realise that your thoughts are shaping your reality. Words and thoughts are powerful and the more you think about something, the more it starts manifesting. Stop saying things like "my life sucks, I hate life, I am suicidal and nothing makes sense". Replace it with "life aint that bad, theres gotta be a place for me out there and I will find it". At the end of each day, find 1 thing you are grateful for, note it down until you have a massive list of things you like about life. As cliches as this is, it will make a difference. You are alive godammit, isn't that enough? Get out there and change the world. Stop robbing the world of your gifts, your intelect and creativity. Find your cause and pursue it as if your life depended on it , give it all you have.

@Samra well written and yes I quite agree with your post! Oh boy, the chip mind is so strong, so so strong and constantly making sure it is not threatened. Sometimes it feels like for every single bit of orange peeled-off, two more grow back Seeing this with a lot of ego backlash on meditation, healthy/unhealthy eating and spontaneous victim thinking sometimes. Good breakdown, thanks for the input!

@Leo Gura what would be the yellow's reaction then?
-
@Charlotte glad you found it useful. It has helped me to push my last fast for further 12 hours by imaging all the "rebuilding " that is going on How's your fasting schedule going?

Psychiatry is still a medicine and hence the "treatments" (I hesitate to use this word) is equally destructible. "let me pretend I care about your problems for 55 minutes and than give you acids to numb down your body's response. Same as mouth-taping a child that is crying because its belly hurts...fixes the problem right? Madness...complete madness and ignorance.

@Slade this is a great answer dude! and so true

we won't agree on that but let's not go as far as to argue about it

look around you, everything is designed to appeal to unconscious masses. The easy-meals, get rich quick schemes, netflix, stupid youtube adverts. Everything is designed to appeal to human laziness, low conscious chimp mind and ego. Porn is no different. Look at those girls, the makeup, the way they speak and behave, it's all pure chimpdom. That being said, you can still find beautiful porn, stripped of all the disgusting elements that is actually appealing to watch, ....although I've only seen handful of those tbh.

Leo is bound to close this one soon folks , too much distraction going on here

I'm with @pluto on this one. Fruit is probably the best way to break a fast. Especially one of those like mango / papaya that just massage your intestines and digest quickly. If you have a juicer, you could start with a green celery/cucumber juice though. The fructose in sugar does not metabolise as the typical isolated white sugar does and there is a heck of a nutrition packed into fruit.... there is some hippie stuff going on but the fruit will not kick your insulin the way regular white sugar will, most likely this is related to the fiber that slows it down. And if you are just breaking a fast, it means that your glycogen stores in liver and skeletal muscles have been severely depleted so these are the first place the glucose will be directed to. Don't you worry about fruit girl, eat it like you mean it !

well, same way you can't take all the work of someone like Greger and call it a biased science. The guy has helped thousands of people across the globe. Biased or not, he is making the world better place. Anyways, let's cut it here, we should be self-actualizing not arguing. Point taken on my dairy argument, it was an exaggeration, there is more to disease than that that's for sure.

@White if you need science for everything that is pretty much intuitive, you will get stuck in life many times. This is the problem of these days, anything that is not on the research paper is a conspiracy, a myth, non existing. We have just gone so astray from the intuitive living , eating garbage, meat 3 times a day and bathing everything in hormones from dairy...complete madness. And than people say things like "i dont eat fruit because fruits is just sugar." Dr Greger is biased indeed, but biased with 20 years of nutritional science that he and his team have researched. They pretty much go through every research paper that comes out. Then you have people like all these crazy paleo guys, Robert Atkins diet or paleo blue print who are just killing people , don't even quote any damn research yet people follow them and do all this crazy shit like avoiding plants and eating oxidised cholesterol 3 times a day. Consistently vegan diets are scoring highest on cardiovascular disease prevention, cancer preventions and diabetes prevention. The evidence is out there in studies like China Study, Fremingham Heart study or Harvard Nurses study...all done on hundreds of thousands of people... if that's not enough to admit the people should get at least as close as possible to it, than I don't know what.....but then it is all just vegan propaganda ..what do we know
-
@Lorcan seems you are way ahead of me then. I think there was also a second part of the series that he wrote. Well, you can add things like weighted vest, hand and arm weights to make the bodywork a bit harder or as you said, go into the nature lift logs and rocks. Get crazy and get creative.

Oh boy, do I have a book for you, my friend. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Convict-Conditioning-Weakness-Using-Survival-Strength-ebook/dp/B004XIZN5M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1529501950&sr=8-1&keywords=convict+conditioning this is UK amazon so not sure where you live, it might be harder to get. Find one place where you can do pull-ups once in a while and you are all set, no weights, no fancy equipment, 20 minute workout a day that is hard as f**k. I have been doing this a lot in the past and got good improvements not only in strength but also flexibility. You will not grow as fast as with gym though but you will get really strong and agile.

@White vegan propaganda? lovely. No I do't have one particular paper that concludes this. There is no research on all diseases, just different individual papers focusing on one at a time. If you don't find Dr Greger convincing enough I am not sure if there are many other people who dig up in medical research as much as he does. Mostly a common sense brother but you may try chugging 1 liter of cow milk and see how it makes you feel in couple years. I admit though that saying "single most common" was an overstatement...there are definitely other factors, I just felt like bashing on dairy
-
@White if you dig up on pubmed.gov dairy relation to osteoporosis, prostate cancer /BPH (massive link to raising IGF-1 levels), pancreatic cancer, breast cancer , testicular cancer, colorectal cancer and other....you are bound to find an abstract of many research papers along with result and conclusion. Results may vary depending on sponsorship of the research, many of them have been funded by the corporate interest. There was also one great paper on acne that proved that meat and dairy activate an enzyme called mTORC-1 that contributes massively to acne development in teenage and adult men, i think it was even published whole for free, you can definitely find it on google. Other than that if you want actual science laid down for you in a nice 10 minute videos, look up nutritionfacts.org and type in dairy

@pluto I am actually more and more inclined to this and have been increasing the ratio of fruit while reducing the ratio of cooked food. Stinging nettle tincture is the best thing I have found so far. I know it will go away, just a matter of time

@TheSomeBody spirulina contains zero B12 (based on cronometer at least). So perhaps consider chlorella instead which is the much better source and generally better cultivated as spirulina has been grown on human poop in some countries. Sun Chlorella is one of the best quality brands out there, very pristine and very easily digestible. @pluto interesting article. There is sooo much controversy on this topic, it is really hard to know who to believe. Dr Morse says it is no necessary, Dr Clement and Greger say it is... I dunno anymore man Will keep on supplementing until I am convinced that I don't have to. Saw too many vegans get deficient on the internet but as she said, it may be a malabsorption issue.....still, there has to be a source from somewhere in order to have something to circulate.
-
the safest way is to take a supplement. You could also focus on fermented foods and foods fortified with B12 such as tempeh, saurkraut, nutritional yeast but I've seen vegans get deficient from that because it is not as rich and one can't eat tempeh every day. 500 - 1000 mcg a day is an ideal dose. Or 2500mcg once a week. btw, vegans don't eat fish, pescetarians do though

its all about encouraging you to do the thing that, in the back of your mind you always considered to be a"nice hobby" or a fantasy. As you progress with the course, you see a pattern emerging and more and more this distant thing starts becoming realistic, you visualise it and before you know it, you start taking few steps. For me, I was always interested in the body, fitness and lifestyle and now I'm in the second year of naturopathic medicine, learning anatomy, all sorts of pathologies, the nutrition, herbs and natural healing. 2 years ago, this was just a fantasy. I am still in a boring corporate job but believe that at some point I will have enough knowledge to move into this.....somehow.... althoughI haven't figured out the way yet So it sorta gives you this encouragement that whatever it is, you can decide to pursue it, regardless of how remote that things seem from where you currently are. And it does give you a lot of positive energy when you know that you are hopefully working towards something meaningful.

@pluto yes, it starts very early in life. Unfortunately, unless parents look out for this stuff and are only fed the mainstream information, they would not know any better. We've all been trapped in this at some point in our lives. Even after 2 years on vegan diet, my body is still congested with mucous from dairy which is giving me really shitty allergies. It may take years to get rid of all that...
-
Dairy is not and never was meant for humans. The fact that we are still consuming it shows the massive influence and lobbying of the dairy and meat industry. Perhaps if taken raw from a healthy animal and not more than once a week....perhaps not so bad... but the pasteurised one?...complete madness and poison. Dairy is the single most common cause of severe disease. It is acidic and causes mucus formation all over the body. Dairy stabs every organ in your body with a knife ( figuratively speaking). Asthma, IBDs, prostate, testicular, breast cancers..all mainly caused by dairy. Selling dairy is a criminal activity and should be seen as such, there is 0 benefit from it and every mineral it has could be received from plants. Some even advise on feeding it to newborns instead of breastmilk...these people should be deported to an isolated island.

Wondering it the clay is perhaps introducing some healthy bacteria to the gut? Interesting stuff, thanks for sharing. Glad you found something, IBS is a nasty one and so many people suffer from it these days....

Fasting is an incredible way of giving the body all it needs to heal & repair itself. One thing I would mention though. If you intend to fast more than 2 days, definitely chat with naturopath or detox specialist. During a fast, your body will rid itself of heavy metals (among other stuff) that have been accumulated throughout your whole life (food, fumes, cosmetics etc...). All this will go down to your kidneys to be filtered. The longer you fast the more rubbish comes out. ...The thing is if you go for too long and your body is not ready, you may damage your kidneys. So perhaps instead of one long fast, you may want to consider doing several of them up to 48 hrs max. Or you could also do a fruit detox like Dr Morse suggests. Whatever you decide, congratulations on this decision, your body will love you for allowing it to cleanse itself : )

perhaps you just failed to understand the process of Mastery. The simplest of them all which is that anything, no matter how exciting in the beginning will become difficult, dull, repetitive and discouraging. And if you are not ready for a ride of pain, you will not make it. This is what discourages 99% of people from any new endeavour they try to undertake....the fitness commitment is an excelent example. Get on that horse and dedicate your whole life to it and if you fail so what... try again the next day.
