@bejapuskas makes sense, glad that you have managed to identify it awareness is the key

Just a speculation but it could be that your stomach is sensitive to certain food combinations. There is a concept called "Food Combining" in the nutrition, more the alternative than the western nutritional science though as it has been proclaimed BS by many studies. The argument is that protein, carb and fats need different PH, different organs, ensymes for digestion and mixing them up confuses the digestive tract. Most people have no issue with this but still, it may be something worth looking into. There are few rules of incorrect food combinations which include: Heavy (animal) protein and heavy starchy carbs - think rice and chicken / fish and chips / a popular czech "pork, dumpling, sauerkraut Heavy (animal) protein and heavy fat - think steak on butter / chicken and avocado Fruit and protein (any) - think smoothie with protein shake or steak with jam Melons - eat alone or leave alone Fruits and Veg Sweet fruits with acidic fruits As I said, most people do not react to this, I have been blessed with very strong digestion and could probably combine all of them in single meal and not have a problem and someone else will throw up and get a diarrhoea. Just my suggestion to you, perhaps try to look into the ones in bold first and see if it changes. Chances are your stomach is just too sensitive. No guarantees but if you feel like you've tried everything, this may give some help ++ Another suggestion would be to see a gastroenterologist and have your stomach checked for gastritis or an ulcer.

What is your key skill in pursuing your life purpose? If you can spend 60 minutes mastering it every day that will make a huge difference in time.

@SgtPepper some of those are very legit studies, for example I wasn't aware of the impact of high fibre on serum vitamin D...will look more into that. Many of the links though are misleading, misunderstood or quite outdated. I could now spend 5 hours browsing through pubmed and producing a list of studies that demonstrate why plant based diets are superior to omnivore diets in so many aspects...but that's not the point. I was addressing that silly picture you posted that pretty much said that non-meat diets are deficient in half of the known nutrients which is nonsense. You copypasted bunch of links from a person that is making their living on 99% carnivore diet, ofcourse they will have their own arsenal of pubmed studies confirming the bias...inherently there is no difference between Sv3ridge and Vegan gains. I see two arogant pricks who are insecure in their own beliefs and bash on everybody not following their ideology....they both have their own degree of truth however perhaps both are taking it bit too far.

Are you eating enough protein? I know this may be kinda barbaric advice as we keep hearing this all over the orange culture but your body needs very specific amounts of essential amino acids to produce things like serotonin, dopamine, various hormones etc... Serotonin is produced from 5HTP which is produced from L-Tryptophan, an essential amino acid. I'd suggest tracking your food intake in cronometer.com and see how much protein are you hitting. Ideally try to aim for 1g/kg of bodyweight. Don't go supplementing 5-HTP, rather focus on getting what you need from food. Best of luck !

@AMS thanks for the counter arguments and fair points made. I agree that the bioavailability and convertibility per individual vary largely but lot of knowledge we have today in nutrition comes from large observational studies and simply from clinical experiences made over decades and decades of medical research and practice. Where I mean "produced internally" means that all these amino acids like creatine and carnitine are produced from other amino acids, we don't really know the exact amounts but we do know what amino acids and we can tell if person is defficient. For example if you were lacking carnitine, you would know pretty quickly as it plays role in fat metabolism i.e. beta oxidation and kreb's cycle (and other scientific blah blah...) and it would mess up your energy levels to chronic levels. Yeah, when saying omnivores and carnivores I was pretty much talking about the same type of person, the one that eats meat although there are massive differences in the amounts of meat people eat which makes hellofa difference in everything. I didn't want to direct this topic to veganism and non veganism as quite frankly that horse has been beaten way too much on this forum and nobody gives a f.. anyways, my arguments were positioned against the silly picture above that was clearly made by someone who hasn't studied nutrition properly. Agreed that vitamins A,D,E,K are lipophilic and require fat to be properly absorbed but when you look at it most people do have some sort of fat with nearly each meal. Be it olive oil on salad, nuts in breakfast, seeds in smoothies etc..so that would only be a concern in severely malnourished or super high carb individual..or maybe someone with liver/galbladder dysfunction. Granted, there is evidence demonstrating benefits in Multiple Sclerosis and Epileptic Seizures have been reduced quite massively with keto diets. On the other hand , neither of these comes even close to the destruction that heart disease causes and high carb plant based diet has been shown to be the number 1 prevention against those. Again, not looking to spark an argument here, just stating some facts. I do not have experience with high fat diet but definitely belive that many people thrive on it, lose weight and build muscle but it should not be said that we need animal products to get basic nutrients besides vitamin B12 and vitamin D which both get from sun anyways.
-
does that include fish and mussels? Here is a list from the video I posted before. and an online source: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/7-nutrients-you-cant-get-from-plants#section2 your experience in blood values is exactly why I don't believe in the anti-nutrients rhetoric. aaargh...this picture is so riddiculous on so many different levels. Wanted to stay away from this flamewar but this just needs to be addressed as it is pure BS, no offence. Vitamin A precursor called beta carotene that is easily converted to retinol (active A). Single carrot contains so much beta carotene that you cant even utilise all of it. B6 - not true found in variety of nuts, fruits and greens vitamin D - true very poor in plants but the sun provides you all you need or supplements. Many omnivores and carnivores still dont get enough as deficiency is rampant across the world. B12 - fair enough, you need supplement for that. F - fluoride is toxic and it is found in tiny amounts in many foods. You need very little of it. K2 - produced by gut bacteria in sufficient amounts. Creatine - produced internally from amino acids in food Taurine - produced internally from amino acids in food Carnitine - produced internally from amino acids in food. You need to have a severe metabolic disorder to be low on this. Carnosine - don't know much about this but also produced from available amino acids. Cholesterol - produced by the liver at 1000mg/day saturated animal fat - same as saturated plant fat, you need very little and you get that from nuts and seeds. Heme iron - not found in plants true but contributes to colorectal cancer. Plant iron is less absorbed but in most people sufficient unless there is some other issue like GIT bleeding. Body is very savy with iron and it gets easily stored in liver if needed later. Too much is very harmful. CLA - metabolised from PUFAs Coq10 - produced by liver, pointless to supplement unless on statins. enzymes - found in many fruits such as papaya, pineapple, mango... hormones - produced internally and should not be taken from outside, may support growth of tumours (IGF1)

Hi fellow Londoner, it seems like a struggle that many people on this forum and outside of it currently have. I'd say continue with the uni course if you paid it already but do the Life Purpose course as well at the same time..at least until you figure out what is meaningful to you. Once you figure that shit out and can identify initial steps to start transitioning, then decide whats the best cause of action. ...at least that's what I'd do

I peg myself into orange/green with fingertips in yellow currently based in one of 2 top corporate areas in London so heavy orange all around. There is no such thing as having a conscious conversation with 99% ppl here, there are few exceptions. To give you an example one of my colleagues sees winning a lottery and going to Ibiza ,banging bunch of girls and party 2 weeks in a row as the ultimate life goal...similar aims are shared around the company....not judging (ok maybe a little :D) just saying the values systems are on a very different level. There is no climbing the spiral tree in this environment as there are no role models, all my role models are people on youtube and books. I am in a process of transitioning to what I consider meaningful life purpose which is a naturopathic healing and helping people take their health and life back without medication and surgeries. This requires me to read lot of orange health studies and conduct a lot of academic papers at the same time a lot of the naturopathic content is green with hint of yellow so there is a lot of clashing and tug-of-war. I think I am getting better at being able to interact with Orange at work without being sucked back and sensing people in yellow if I meet any on very rare occasions and picking their brains about life. Like Leo said in the last video, our society will not make it easy for you but you absolutely can if you can find couple extraordinary people like the man himself and let them be your example. I think you need a life purpose to be able to do that. It gives you financial stability and frees more time to do what is important, also you cannot pursue higher values from a place of working your ass for some orange guy who just wants to enrich himself and retire to Maldives. It will also serve as a rebound point towards higher values by removing you from a lot of Orange/Blue influence

@Nahm you should start a youtube channel just talking about random stuff, I love reading your comments, its always so eyeopening and makes heck lot of a sense !

@Nahm very interesting regarding the reiki class. Would you be able to share any good newbie resource to look into this?

Just a personal anecdote here but in my opinion probiotics are overrated and sometimes can cause more harm than good. Some people have conditions like SIBO (overgrowth of bacteria in small intestine where they shouldn't be) which is often a cause of IBS. So chugging down more bacteria while risking that this will also overpopulate small intestine even more and make the condition even worse....I dunno..there is something about probiotics that rubs me the wrong way. Absolutely agree with the serotonin thing, that is a major component of depression in many people. One the best ways to feed your gut bacteria residing in the large intesine are fiber rich foods. Humans cannot digest fiber, however our gut bacteria and it also helps to move faeces outside of the body much much faster. Think of it as a gastro intestinal broom. Fiber also ensures there is no overpopulation of disease causing pathogens in the colon causing things like candida. Foods richest in fiber are all legumes, mushrooms, vegetables and fruits. Ideally aim for at least 50 grams per day, more is not going to harm either.....sorry I went kinda out of topic but imo there is other ways to treat ones gut besides chugging probiotics that are not necessarily always helpful. Where they will definitely play a role is post-antibiotics where your gut microbiome has been whipped out and you want to repopulate the colon with "good bacteria" as fast as possible to limit pathogen populations. This is time to do probiotic course followed by massive doses of fibre to feed the little guys. The thing about alage oil is that for people who do not eat fish, this is the only way to get pre-formed long chain fatty acids EPA and DHA. Fish do this as well thats why they are considered healthy. Our body can make these from the ALA (Omega3) we consume in things like flaxseeds however the conversion rate is extremely poor and the importance of EPA and DHA for the brain and central nervous system cannot be overstated. I'd say though that it is not necessary as long as you have sufficient intake of Omega 3s (chia, flax, hemp, walnuts, some oils). A tablespoon of ground or chia will give you a very decent amount of Omega 3 and enough to be left for EPA/DHA conversion... sorry for the long post, hope something in there will be helpful

Yellow environmentalist will understand that this is nobody's fault. He will go out there and try to understand all involved parties, he knows that you cannot just stop mining or stop dumping plastic into the sea because there is a colossal logistico-economical issue, lot of involved parties and stakeholders. Yellow will go and speak to all of them before making his decision. He will not waste time on bashing on cattle farmers because he understands that they are part of larger system. he knows that the guy who kills the animals sees himself as the "one who provides for his family" just like the accountant or walmart's store manager. I don't really have any example here because most of these people are in my opinion not that well known and probably work in research, spend weeks and months out in the field, collecting data and compelling reports. Check the Yellow megathread there might be some useful names.

what?

Yellow: Eat what resonates with your body. Eat when hungry and finish when satiated. Yellow will probably not giv in to dogma like veganism, paleo, carnivore however he will make sure to eat healthy to support his energy levels, mood and productivity,. Yellow will see food as a fuel not a plessure however he will enjoy good food every once in a while but will not let it rule his life. Bue: Eat what your culture tells you and do not eat what god forbids or what is not right. You need to have strong etiquette and you must not eat like a pig. Ramadan would be blue or any form of religious fasting. Halal is blue, or avoiding red meat in Hindu culture. Eating sushi with chopstick while avoiding cutlery or piercing of the food with chopstick in japan is blue. Thanksgiving turkey seems like a pretty blue thing or traditional christmas dinner. Christmas crackers and wearing the "queen's crown" in the UK ( @Charlotte is this still a thing?) seems is also a bit blue traidion in my opinion

Zinc and magnesium are depleted massively during cold and stress. Taking something like 20mg of zinc and 350mg of magnesium for a while can be helpful. Also Vitamin C has been shown to decrease the severity and duration of cold. . Depends on how bad it is you can go as far as 5*1000mg a day but I'd probably stay to 2*1,000 of ascorbic acid (synth.vit C). In case you want to avoid supplements, ginger tea with lemon and honey couple times a day, echinacea may have some cold fighting properties although there is not enough evidence backing this up. And than citrus fruits, if you have juicer, than vegetable juices with garlic and ginger (yummy). Avoid heavy meals with high protein and fat and keep it mostly raw. Don't take medications unless you have to, you have a cold for a reason, your body is fighting an infection by raising a temperature, sweating and geting rid of mucus, all these are immune defences. So make sure you support the body nutritionally but dont block the temperature or any of the processes. (As long as the temperature is below 38.5 degree celsius you are good )

Because it is easy to approach a woman online especially if she deliberately puts herself out there. Most guys generally, are terrified of rejection so they will not approach you even if they would love to. We live in a culture where it is expected from guys to approach women but why should it always be so? Do you ever feel a slight hint of chemistry with a guy? Maybe he does too but is shy to do anything about it..so be the first to take a step instead, you might be surprised how fast people can open up when they don't have to be the ones initiating the conversation. my office is on 40th floor in a busy building and quite often when being in an elevator with a single person I try to initiate a conversation and n many occasions by the time we got to 0, we could literally go for a beer and continue for another 2 hours...humans always have so much "mind baggage" carrying with us and often wish we could just tell someone our story even if it is a stranger you just met...whoever is willing to listen to us, we will like them very much without even realising why
-
hey, maybe we will create an AI that will realize that humans are a cancerous virus of this planet not even good as their slaves and will start wiping us out before we get to fatal climate change.
-
Not a female opinion here but just wondering, do you currently have a lot of stress in your life? Sometimes it may happen that your body stops(or limits) producing sex hormones in favour of cortisol or other steroids to counter stress, disease or any ongoing issue.

Yeah, that's the point. At the time being "me" is this physical thing in the present moment. I haven't done enough consciousness work to be able to perceive it any other way -
Michael569 replied to Fountainbleu's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura do you think a person can care about enlightenment even if they don't have some of the basic shit figured out. I want to be more interested in nonduality but my mind just keeps dragging me towards life purpose and financial independence and I just can't open my mind to this topic enough...just yet. Is there such thing as doing LP and raising one's level of consciousness at the same time or would they be clashing with each other?
