Search the history. This topic has been opened many times. There was a good thread created not long ago with lots of cool tips.

I don't believe that CFS is a disease. Too many people seem to be suffering from it in the west. It is a disbalance to our body's homeostasis caused by the terrible lifestyle we lead, stress, lack of movement, sunshine and general nutrient deficiency. Before you sell your ass to the medical industry see if there is something you can do. Fix your diet, cut out everything that is processed, fizzy rinks, sweets, pastries, cornflakes, dairy, all sources of white sugar and heavy animal foods. Don't drink anything but water and herbal tea, everything else should go. Get in as much natural food as possible (fruits, veggies, beans, lentils, wholegrains, more water, if you like add some Omega 3 eggs (that's their name) from clean sources and a fish couple times a week if you'd like (sardines , salmon, anchovies and mackrel seem to be the best, forget tuna that's a toxic mercury dump). Eat 3 times a day regularly, make sure to eat your breakfast, and have 2 snacks in between. Consider including magnesium (up to 300mg) and B-complex into your diet. These two together are key elements for production of ATP, your main energy unit. This alone is cause for many CFSs in people, simple nutrient lack. Get outside and move every day, take a break in the afternoon and go out. Your retina needs to be exposed to sunlight to reduce production of adenosin and melatonin that both make you lethargic and sleepy. cut all stimulants (coffee, redbulls, taurine drinks etc..) get at least 20 min of sunshine if possible Drink enough water (2l a day) Find a healthy sleep routine devoid of any electronics 2 hours prior to yoru bed time, ensure your room is pitch black and dont eat straight before bed time. There is a loooot you can try yourself, just don't give up, these issues can definitelly be fixed in 90% cases. Sometimes there is a deep rooted issue.

Most carbohydrates are not bad. Your cells run on glucose (sugar) which they use to produce core units of energy called ATP, this keep you alive, keeps your heart beating, your nervous system running, muscle working, keeps brain from dying ...this can also be done from fatty acids (fats) but most of us don't follow that pathway very often unless starving or fasting or doing keto. Sugar/glucose (the same thing) is getting incredibly bad rep because people just throw all carbs into the same bucket as sucrose (white processed sugar). Eating a lot of sucrose from junk and fizzy drinks is terrible, nobody can dispute that...it contributes to rapid weight gain, increases risk of diabetes and metabolic syndrome, scratches your arteries and causes a lot of oxidative damage. On the other hand, eating complex carbohydrates such as starches and fibre are beneficial. They feed the microbiota, the billions of bacteria in your gut that impact majority of processes in the body. Disbalance in microbiata is linked to anything from authism, asthma, obesity, cancer, diabetes, mental disease (read "10% human" if that seems interesting). These would be your wholegrains, sweet potatoes as well as regular potatoes, beans, lentils, chickpeas and such. Most of them also contain essential minerals and vitamins. And finally I feel like fruit needs to be mentioned. Although it contains fructose a simple monosacharide that spikes insulin rapidly when eaten in isolation, fruit also contains fibre that slows down fructose absorbtion as well as complex carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and various phytochemicals, antioxidants, ensymes etc that are all beneficial for health and microbiota. Berries are probably ruling the fruit kingdom as being the healthies with the lowest insulin spike. So if you want to help your body, stay away from rapidly absorbing carbiohydrate such as sucrose in fizzy drinks and sweets as well as sources of processed starches such as breads, croissants etc..the flour has been stripped of all the good stuff. Instead get as close as possible to natural sources and you'll be fine

Lovely, thanks for sharing Charlotte ! Also hiked Monseratt few years ago and it was the best part of Barcelona for us . Seems like you had a great time

Some of us are genetically more prone to be better at early wake ups and early starts while other are better and getting up late and staying up later. Evolutionary, this would ensure that there were only minimal hours where the entire tribe was sleeping and otherwise one or the other group was awake protecting the group....or so does the guy in "Why we sleep" say..could be bollocks

nutritionfacts.org released several videos in cannabis in recent past all based on published research papers. Might be worth your time The toxic effects wouldn't necessary be from plant oils, free radicals are not toxic they simply steal electrons and turn other molecules into free radicals until they start clawing on DNA molecules that's where trouble starts. I think that's more related to other compounds hiding in these vaping liquids. Pure plant oils, it's probably ok. @Lisa2525 soz for hijacking your topic, will shut up now

@SgtPepper you'd best read about it yourself. Few interesting studies I found. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5435699/ potential link to growth of tumours https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4154203/ the accumulative toxic effects https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5954153/ formaldehyde content and implications

For some men it has to do something with a condition called Phimosis (foreskin not fully retractable) or the frenulum being too short. But mostly this is a psychological and stress-related issue and has been discussed here many times, check the forum history.

I know you didn't ask but the fact that vaping is a booming epidemic could one day bite us in the ass really bad. .....there is still not a lot of research but it is picking up over time. There is some evidence of DNA damage, formaldehyde, Acetaldehyde and Toluen toxicity and heavy metal deposition. Some of these particules are being deposited in lungs and arteries. Other than that, heating oils generates free radicals that behave like a furious hornet stuck in a glass container, this can be verified in basic chemistry where double-bonds among the carbon chain are easy to break apart and oxidise. But it depends on the temperature generated I guess. Its prob better than regular cigarettes, that's for sure but maybe the damage is so subtle and slow that it will only be implicated once we pass on our damaged genes to the offspring....not something most people are concerned about though.....

@How to be wise yes, if you stop eating processed grains and sugar and replace them with wholegrains fruits and vegetables it will indeed be more difficult to gain weight. But even good diet can make you fatter if you go overboard with your calories. Although some foods make it more difficult to gain weight from then others, it all comes down to health of your microbiota, fibre content, absorbtion ability and other... Calories are not everything. You can eat 2000 dirty calories such as big macs and french fries and you can eat clean calories. Diet is not only about macros as some dumb bodubuilding.com posts would have you believe. You can get diabetes even on 2000 calorie diet if they come from burgers and chips.

I'd probably try Anthony Williams' - Thyroid Healing book. The guy seems to be onto something although I only read the Medical Medium.

if I tell you that jumping from the edge of the cliff will kill you it doesn't mean that jumping under a rushing train is safe. - slap across the face - stop thinking in absolutes and read between the lines

@Leo Gura welcome back sir !! -
Metro 2033 while listening on Audible was one giant fantasy ride for me. Don't read fictional books a lot anymore but I really enjoyed that one.

Well done ! Did that at Stansted couple months ago but I was to shy to take the whole meditative posture so just calmly sat with eyes closed. still...it is amazing how fast it calms down the stressed mind & body in the place where you can smell & taste the tension and anxiety just seeping from everyone.

this book was quite helpful for me https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ki-Quest-Method-Awakening-Health/dp/1717755437/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1553083052&sr=8-1&keywords=nicola+zanetti The guy is a not a big author, he is one of the teachers in our naturopathic college but he is extremely knowledgeable and spiritual which is why many people find him a bit weird. The book is easy to ready and gives a lot of very practical tip on how to be able to tap in your Yin (Celestial Qi) and Yang (Primal QI) constitution and in a sense helps you to be more grounded but also more fired up if need be. He also gives a lot of tips on herbs, foods, practical exercises and some stones that can help you achieve what you are looking for. This is a UK author so if you are abroad there is probably some shippin you'd have to pay

You can absolutely skip the pickup game and get into an amazing relationship that will last you a lifetime. I personally don't agree with the idea that in order for you to be in fulfilling relationship on day you need to bang at least 20 girls just to prove something to yourself. For me personally skipping this step and getting into a fulfilling relationship worked very well. I probably have very shitty pick-up skills but its not on my radar anymore...I can still be very social and confident around people, just don't have to force it to get in girl's panties. You don't have to experience every stage of Orange in order to move on and quite frankly I get the feeling that there is a lot of yellow in you already

Seems to me like you focus too much on "what else do I need to do". Instead focus on this one book and think "how can I extract the most powerful insights out of this and what is really worth putting down and remembering?" Think of it like a juice extractor, extracting the liquid part and removing all the cellulose. Honestly by focusing on what you "need to do" you will drive yourself mad. "now" is all there is. Give it your 100% of your focus and once you finish the book and extract everything there is to extract, listen to your intuition when picking next book, I always go for the one that kinda resonates with me the most at that point of time. You will know it when you see it, can't really explain.

sorry, not related to the supplement, I should have structured the response more comprehensively just coffee generally.

@Charlotte yop, this shit is good! We just talked about this particular one at school yesterday, has a great blend of nootropics, adaptogenic herbs, magnesium and L-theanine. I think this can definitely help. Careful with caffeine though as it will go against what these caps are trying to achieve by stimulating you. Could be months up to years before your tissues are completely clean..depends on strenght and number of fags a day, duration of smoking, liver health, nutrient availability for Phase I&II detoxification, presence of some enzymes clearing out all the crap.
-
Adaptogenic herbs like @pluto suggested help you balance overly stimulated nervous system and excess stimulatory neurotransmitters in ADHD. Stop by at your local Chinese herbalist and have a chat with them, these people are often decendants of incredible healers back in their countries who have been trained in the ancient practice of Chinese Medicine but are hiding because they are afraid of big Pharma and the corrupted legal system in States. They may be able to recommend a herbal blend or a tincture to balance your nervous systems....at least that's what I'd do and it is usually relatively cheap way.
