There is always another doctor that will take you on. Definitely get that checked! Good luck

might be worth adding to your list of "topics to explore" https://www.amazon.com/Toxin-Solution-Products-Destroying-Health/dp/0062427466/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=toxin+solution&qid=1599895733&sr=8-2 in the future

I think you'd benefit from Pizzorno's Toxin Sollution, in case this one doesn't just do it The tricky thing with aggressive detox is that you first need to ensure that your gut is ready to take that shitstorm otherwise lot of that stuff can be reabsorbed and recycled into liver especially if there is a bit of gut permeability. He starts from the gut to the liver and to the kidneys, seems he's had some good results and all of it is 100% evidence-based. The guy is one of the founders of Bastyr University for Naturopathic Doctors so seems like he knows his shit

Because that is selfish. You can be endlessly loving and enlightenment and still be sharing your talents with the world. I mean....what else are you gonna do with your life?

Btw this is complete and utter nonsense, sorry. The person who shares this sort of stuff and are a doctor should have their license taken away. The ONLY people who need to stay away from gluten are coeliacs. Even people who are intollerant to it are usually not allergic, they just need to have their gut healed. That being said there are ofcourse better alternatives but gluten DOES NOT give you cancer.

You really need to get this investigated properly. IBS does not bleed in most cases, IBD (Crohn's or Ulcerative Collitis) does. I'm afraid you may need a colonoscopy but seriously blood in stool is a red flag regardless of who you speak to. If your doctors ignores it, find a new doctor. Because it is red and not black, it means it is either somewhere in small intestines (most likely terminal ileum) or a colon which could indicate IBD, ulcer, polyps or something like that. This can DEFINITELY be driving your fatigue if you keep losing blood, you will be losing iron amongst other. Please go get checked and request a proper assessment which will include things like CRP, ESR, calprotectin and full IBD assessment including antibodies (they'll know what needs to be done) Happy to have a chat if you'd like some additional tips around getting this investigated

Is it visible red blood or does it appear more black? Like coffee granules in your stool?

You may need to get checked for sleep apnea. But this is hard to do without medical assessment.

Even worse than that, it is pure showmanship and posing. You see this all over social media, people making Instagram stories of that. It's a bit sad -
You know your shit bruh! I heard about the thiol group being able to replace the mineral in their centre (is it magnesium?) with the metal but never knew how this really works. Thanks for clarifying

Thanks, I'll add this to my "to research" list. I'd say adding NAC to the potential free radical aftermath to increase glutathione could be helpful and a short term supplementation of powerful multivitamin and Zinc to mop-up any damage as that stuff is being moved around.

@Leo Gura Good point! Seems DMSA definitely has the largest amount of evidence behind it. I wonder about chlorella and other "so called" chelators. Shame we don't have many studies on those.
-
Haha let's just agree that we need to protect ourselves from all possible (large or small) sources. Yah tuna ain't good for ya.
-
@Leo Gura this is the source I believe https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4724159/ In 2012, the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) reported on the exposure contribution rate by medium in different age groups, based on the data on mercury concentrations in food. According to the report, the exposure contribution rate of inhalation from the air was 0.47–0.83 %, ingestion of drinking water (tap water) was 0.01–0.02 %, and ingestion of soil, 0.03–0.32 %; all of them were highest in infants and toddlers. The study also reported that the major medium of mercury exposure was food, as shown by the fact that mercury exposure by ingestion of food accounted for 98.85–99.48 % You were right that elemental mercury crosses BBB and methyl does not. But it seems they are both widely distributed and stored across brain (more elemental) and kidneys (both). Just the absorption and transportation methods wary. The problem also is that urine, hair and blood are NOT trustworthy markers of tissue concentration and you actually need to sample biological tissue (e.g. kidney or brain biopsy) but who would do that . The general laboratory tests to evaluate mercury intoxication include complete blood cell count, electrolyte assays, and renal and hepatic function tests. Electrocardiography (ECG), pulmonary function test (PFT), cardiovascular monitoring, electroneuromyography, and neuropsychological tests are also used for the evaluation. <-- this shows that simply basing information on bunch of hair or urine test is just not reliable.
-
@Leo Gura agreed but it is about how much you absorb in terms of nano-grams mercury. I can't recall the source anymore but from a can of tuna, you get like 200% over the daily limit where from each filling there is less than 0.1% of maximum recommended allowance (not sure if that included the fumes thou). If I find the source, I will share it.

Coffee offers lots of benefits to the body but at the same time it is an addictive drug so you gotta balance it right. Don't use coffee as a means to get your hydration goals or just to escape from a boring job for half an hour. Use it strategically to boost your productivity, mood and mindfulness. Most of all don't have it straight away in the morning where your cortisol is naturally at the peak. You'll have much better results drinking coffee around the afternoon as the cortisol levels are on the decline. Best to keep it to 1-2 cups per day. If you suffer from GERD, ulcers, any sort of liver disease or sensitive digestion, I'd suggest eliminating it completely. Also if you are taking bunch of medication, I'd also be careful around time when you take them as coffee and medical drugs may be competing for some of the liver enzymes (CYP450, CYP1A1, 1A2 and many other) that help detoxify them. Same with grapefruit juice. Green tea or Yerba Matte are great alternatives to coffee if you are looking to cut down on your caffeine intake.

Cut out all electronics 90 minutes prior to bedtime. Light a candle, grab a journal or drawing books, brew a lavander or chamomile tea and spend the last waking hours drawing or journalling or planning the next day. You'll see an immediate difference in your sleep quality. Short meditation before bedtime will do a huge difference. If you have the option, you can also switch off your wifi at night, wear comfortable clothing and keep your room slightly cool if possible.

Metal fillings contain elemental mercury. Poorly absorbed, mostly excreted and the daily dose you get is absolutely negligible compared to things like canned tuna containing high amounts of methyl-mercury. This form is readily absorbed, may even cross the blood-brain barrier and wreak havoc in your brain. Additionally, there is a huge trend of eating bone-broth these days ever since Kylie Jenner made her ridiculous nutrition video. Bone broth is pretty much just a lead-filled disgusting goup. (source) Careful with the most obvious toxic sources. Dental fillings are not good but even if half your mouth has mercury, you are getting nowhere near what you get from eating big fish and many typical bottom-dwellers. That being said it is still a good idea to get them removed at some point. Just don't do it all at once and make sure you see a holistic dentist who will protect both you and him/herself. They need to take extreme precautions otherwise you can ingest a lot of it in a single go. Don't let untrained dentist remove your mercury fillings, make sure to ask about their training in this.

I wrote a 30 line response but then remembered I promised myself to stop participating in these arguments so I'll just say that we have a polarity of opinions

Careful that you don't fall prey to biohacking scammers. Many of these guys are basically supplement pushers and you'll end up having to consume 200$ worth of supplements a month, many of them having literally zero evidence base. Most of the other advice will revolve around mix of Wim Hoff, keto, fasting and exercise all of which you probably already do Nothing beats a balanced diet and lifestyle.

If people start avoiding essential fatty acids, they will have more problems than slowing thyroid to worry about. Every cell in your body requires them to create a balance and fluidity in their phospholipid bilayer. This is a KEY factor in how effectively a cell can communicate with its environment. Feeding people saturated fats creates a state of cellular resistance, and hardening of phospholipid layer. This is precursor to brain fog , dementia and heart disease. I don't know where this information is coming from by PUFAS are NOT damaging to your thyroid. You just have to consume them in a way that does not oxidise them. So rather than frying your fish, bake it or cook it in water, eat the nuts and seeds raw, avoid roasted nut butters and consume flax seeds and flax oil from dark glass bottles. Also, what's wrong with legumes?

@Preety_India It's not necessarily about carbohydrates being evil but more about glycemic index and glycemic load meaning how much pure glucose (sugar) are you ingesting with each meal and how fast does it absorb. You can get diabetes even on ketogenic diet if all you eat will be steaks and bacon. Carbohydrates are actually extremely protective against diabetes but you have to choose the right ones Such as wholegrains and legumes. Fruit is also protective against diabetes and heart disease and the sugar content is negligent. Cereals, white bread and other similar breakfasts will destroy your energy levels by sending your pancreas into hyperdrive. They are rapidly absorbable and cause quick hunger that usually pushes people to grab something sweet or coffee. It's a bit of a vicious cycle. You'd benefit greatly from introducing breakfast consisting of wholegrains (e.g. oatmeal, buckwheat, spelt) with a decent source of protein and essential fats (nuts, seeds) and some berries and fruit Simple, tasty, warm, highly nutritious and energising.

Some good books that can help you shift perspective Anxiety: Panicking About Panic By Joshua Fletcher is more of a practical manual on how to deal with anxieties but talks about depression as well David R Hawkins has a lot of spiritual material that relates to emotional mastery and letting go. "The Art of Saying No" might be relevant if you feel like your boundaries are constantly being squeezed but other people's agendas "Healing the Shame that Binds you" has few powerful techniques "Universe Has Your Back" is more about trusting your intuition and releasing worries "When the Body Says No" - is more about consequences and environmental causes of stress but Gabor Matte overall has some pretty deep material on this topic Radical Honest by Brand Blanton is slightly controversial and requires open mind but can help shift perspectives The Chimp Paradox is a good blueprint on how to not let the lizard brain and the primitive part of our mind to run our lives. Can be extremely relevant for people who suffer from more of the fear and phobia-triggered depression Health & Depression In some people, depression has a physiological trigger. Usually, this comes down to bad diet, stress, lack of sleep, gut problems, thyroid problems or heavy metal toxicity. Most people with depression also have a degree of dysbiosis so this may definitely be worth exploring. To investigate these, it is a good idea to work with a health specialist like a naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist, traditional Chinese medicine doctor, ayurvedic practitioner, herbalist, homeopath and so on...whatever seems like the best way to go. The book Toxin Solution is pretty damn good manual for self-help as well. * Joe Dispenza talks about the connection between the energetic body & depression * if you want to learn more about the physiological & biochemical processes of depression, some mechanistic studies on National Institute of Health could be useful. Something like this https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3181668/ This study talks about different potential causes including the monoamine theory, synaptic connections, reuptake inhibitors but also current pharmacological treatments. It is helpful to understand how these work to understand how you can help yourself with natural therapies. * If you are looking to explore some natural therapies look into researching: St John's Wort, 5-HTP, different herbs (ashwagandha, magnolia, Gotu Kola, Lemon Balm and Siberian Ginseng) There is so much more but I feel like I've overwhelmed you already
