Michio Kaku and Neil deGrasse Tyson are two of my favorite people. I'll need to watch these videos. Thanks for sharing.

While driving last night I was watching Leo's new video, "A Rant Against Moralising", and this video in particular left me with more questions than others. One of the main questions I had was about when Leo said the problem with Moralising is that it makes you have to hide flaws about yourself. I brought up to a friend that I believe you can moralise over something yet not have to be perfect yourself while not being a hypocrite as well as not having self destructive thoughts. I'll probably post other questions and thoughts as I think about but I'd love some insight and input from everyone.

The problem I have with astrology is that there are always super general statements about personalities that anyone can relate to which just reinforces the belief and I don't think birth time or how stars align have any scientific evidence that it affects you. However I am a Capricorn and Rat.

Personally I interpret morals and mortality as a gauge of our actions but not something we possess. However this is no such thing as a moral truth or absolute, only common moral beliefs. What is commonly believed to be morally good to people are what actions produce "good" outcomes to society overall. But most of these "good" behaviors are discovered at childhood then developed further. I do believe that some behaviors that are believed to be good are innate though, or at least the desire to do good. As a social/tribal species our own welfare and survival depends on that of the people surrounding us, so of course our brain would create a happy response from the happiness of others to reinforce behavior that ensures mutual benefit. (I may be confusing ethics and morals)

@kalter000 witness me! I believe the way that I would die would be similar to this, my hobbies include several life threatening activities and I would probably miscalculate a step and die in an accident. As far as I can tell from self examination I don't think I fear death and would probably be fine with this.

@Birdman after lurking for a bit I had to stop and make an account to compliment that this is a great way of explaining it.
