Why do you think they're here?

Re the topic of debating

What I find maybe even more compelling is group corroborated eyewitness accounts, such as the school UFO landing sightings in Victoria Australia in the 60s or Zimbabwe in 1997 Literally like 60 children all have the very similar accounts of alien life landing outside the same school, and can confirm the details decades later. I’m not saying it’s 100% conclusive, but these stories wouldn’t exist for no reason and I’m all ears if there’s a better explanation

This might explain why I feel so ADD when I meditate. Tuna was my go to growing up. Do you recommend tests? -
Don’t discount the non looks values with females too. Whilst it might not increase sexual attractiveness, most guys don’t want some boring hot chick. Good personality traits can help a lot

@Denial yeah I’d say he’s one of the least ideological people in that YouTube/twitch political scene. He genuinely just wants the best society that helps overall wellbeing and doesn’t really have an attachment to how to get there. If he’s arguing against socialism it’s a pragmatic approach about how would it actually work in practice, not stupid conservative talking points about how it’s evil and redistribution being immoral. When he’s doing a legit research stream or trying to get to the bottom of a deep issue non ideologically is when he’s at his best
-
@Denial he is probably too left brained and too overly edgy sometimes. having said that if you look past that stuff he’s actually a pretty sophisticated thinker

Isn’t it better to actually engage with the arguments, otherwise you’re ceding ground. I feel like some on the left shun engagingly with the points which often makes them look like they “can’t handle the facts and logic” or some shit. That’s why people like Vaush etc are effective at de-converting right wing gamer bros

So true. But we all understand America because it's 90% of western pop culture, but most Americans don't understand Australians, British etc Yeah same in Aus too. Silver coins up to 50c, and $1 & $2 gold coins

Coming from you guys who use the bizzare imperial system ? (feet, inches, pounds etc makes no intuitive sense). When I went to America I found it weird to deal with notes for such small amounts

In general, ideological socialists have a poor understanding (or desire to understand) economics, finance or how capital markets work.
-
Capitalism definitely has it's issues, but people shouldn't discuss these things in a vacuum in such a moralistic fashion, what are the alternatives? I'm yet to hear a convincing case for socialism rather over a well regulated social democracy.

Lol, I literally think most wars and striving by men throughout all of history is to have access to the hottest women. It's that strong a motivator. Imagine a world where the nicest guys were rewarded with the most sex....
-
Lol I forgot about that. But everybody except the fringe fucking hates her in Australia. That’d be a good example for the stage blue mega thread

In Australia the US is generally considered right

I consider myself a fairly empathetic person, and it can be a burden sometimes. Like you have to stop yourself from getting super sad or feeling sympathy to the point where it hurts for other people who have misfortune.

I agree 100% that nothing Obama did compared to the Iraq invasion, which was primarily a Republican led neoconservative effort. But why did 58% of Senate Democrats vote for the invasion. Maybe some drones and foreign interventions are necessary for world order. I’ve somewhat moderated my view from full blown non-interventionism. I’m agnostic on how much the US should do overseas. But the truth lies somewhere in between invasions like Iraq and isolationism.

I agree. The Rs are 100% worse than Ds on policy, but doesn’t give Ds a free pass when they do bad stuff.
-
@Leo Gura Obama did 10x more drone strikes than Bush. Biden also voted for the Iraq war. Why can’t we call out both sides?

He’s technically not a baby boomer, he’s part of the silent generation

@Leo Gura Safe bet by the seems of it

Green is usually against retributive justice, unless it comes to right wingers -
Yikes that’s kinda insane if even he isn’t that great. He’s done it non stop for like 20 years...
