i'm currently undergoing the process of changing my environment, as in changing who i hang around. i've been doing this for almost a year now by attending church at a new thought spiritual center. but throughout the week i go to sleep at later and later times which doesn't seem like much night to night but over the course of the week it's significant. at least once a month (sometimes more ) i just don't sleep at all before church and just drink hella coffee. am i doing more harm than good here? is the lack of sleep going to lower my consciousness to them point where i'm getting no benefit from going to church with all the positive vibes and good people? i also watch MMA most Saturday nights which get's my adrenaline pumping and then i talk shit on forums to people that thought my guy was gonna lose. i could just record the fights and watch later but my friend might call me a fa* for not watching live and i can't have that. the main reason i started going was because of a lack of discipline/motivation to do consciousness work on my own so i figured i'd surround myself with people who are more into this stuff so i'll just naturally be motivated to do more over time.

@Schulzy would this program work if someone replaced 'logic' with 'love' or something more universal? or what if someone used it to attain a goal? what if my core value was "becoming enlightened"? i have a reaction against a lot of this stuff but it sure does seem like it's helping a lot of people. would be foolish to just dismiss the whole thing. >posted that on the thread you made the other day

@OBEler so you have a theory that taking a psychedelic in the astral realm will give you the same effect as in psychical reality so long as you've done that particular substance before? that sounds like some cunning edge research. good luck! -

funny story regarding Wayne Wirs. just before my friend picked me up from my house to go to a vipassana retreat i was looking at some of his photography. then i went on the retreat and experienced some cool synchronicities but one in particular was hella weird. we where on our way back from the retreat when i thought i saw a piece of street art that Wayne photographed but it wasn't it. then we drove a bit further down when my friend decided he had to go pee on the side of the road (this was in the mohave desert not in a city btw). i looked to my right and there it was, the street art that Wayne took a picture of. i didn't get a picture of it myself but here's the one Wayne took. -

wait does that work? you can just take 5meo once and then access it though OBEs without ever taking the substance again? i was also wondering about how it effects other psychedelics since @Leo Gura said his shroom trip turned 5meo. because i've done some research and shrooms are like way cheaper than 5meo so one could maybe just get one dose of 5meo and a bunch of shrooms that way you can attain liberation at a discount. -
since getting into personal development i constantly have been finding myself daydreaming, visualizing, and/or fantasizing about the Self-Actualized Life™ part of that life is obviously going to include intimate relationships and of course sex. i'm 19 so yeah i think about fucking some imaginary soul mate a lot and @Leo Gura's video on how to have amazing sex got me thinking about it in a way more in depth way than i ever have before. so much so that i constantly wonder if it's possible to design a life purpose around sex. like i imagine myself getting good with women, then mastering sex and relationships and then writing books on sex. but that seems like a shallow life purpose. so what about this? i become hella enlightened i develop psychic abilities i get really good at sex i study tantra sex practices/principles i buy an van or RV then i travel the US using my psychic abilities to attract women in desperate need of some rough, passionate, intimate enlightenment experiences. she feels compelled to ride along with me because of my magnetic charm and spiritually purified piece. she is now under an apprenticeship and doesn't even now it (the less she knows about enlightenment the better) give her deep tissue massages and take her to get reiki done as well as hypnotherapy for the sake of spiritual purification i slowly introduce her to meditation and self-inquiry after a few months of all this if she isn't fully liberated yet i'll introduce her to 5meo and blastoff now onto the next one what do all y'all fellow actualizers think? it's 100% surely not an egoic, testosterone fueled life purpose. it needs a bit of refining but i think this is a decent outline.

@Arman the psychic abilities are to make sure i don't attract a girl who'll be close minded and just get emotionally attached. the whole thing was tongue in cheek even though it is a real fantasy that i've had. @username is most likely right but i hope not. i hope i become enlightened and get a calling from my higher self to enlighten the world with my dick.

@Bob84 well on a logical level i get that i'm awareness but what i meant by "being aware" is being aware of the specific thing i'm doing in the present moment and why i'm doing it. as someone who identifies with the ego i need the illusion of progress. your advice did help me put awareness into perspective though so thank you. -
so when i meditate i like to put my focus all over the place as i see fit (everywhere but thoughts anyway) i'll maybe focus on the breath, then go into a little self inquiry or mindfulness. other types of meditation maybe as well but all with the intention to raise consciousness, become present and/or uncover Truth. is this a good way to do meditation or is it too unfocused? any input from anyone would be great but i'd also like to hear what @Leo Gura thinks considering he talked about intuition in a recent video. it really actually seems like the least neurotic way to do meditation if you ask me.
