Best thing is not to have any identification. If that's not passible yet, then the second best thing is to have one pointed identity with your teacher or guru. Also I heard that if you have strong identification with the body you will be much more about sex and pleasure. It's better to be identified with your mind. When you're identified with mind you become more about your future and what to do in life. If you want to know where your identification is dominant. Sit silent for a few minutes and see if thoughts are comimg about people and relationships, then your body identification is stronger. If thoughts come about your future and plans in life, then identity is with the mind -

So one person thinks wow her personality is so amazing and you start feeling positive emotions. But still the emotions are happening from within you. You're just using external means to make yourself loving. It's like you're on the push-start. Now you think without some reason you can't be loving. You need another person otherwise it's not possible. That's not true. You can make yourself loving without any reason at all. Simply, nothing is happening, but inside you're sweet and loving. It's very much possible. The need for another person is there only because one is not capeable to be loving without extarnal stimuli, if you know how to be loving from within you would see, the need for a partner is gone. But the beauty of relationship multiplies many times because you no longer extracting happyness from another person. Now You're a source of happyness by yourself to everybody. ? -

When you say reciprocal love, do you mean like two people in a relationship stimulating each other, stimulating sweet emotions? There're two ways to be loving. You use other person to stimulate your emotions. Or you're on self-start. That means you generate love from within. That means you sit here in a total love affair with a whole cosmos, everything is under your love, not just a specific girlfriend. And there are methods to do that in two to three months. It's simpler then simple. If you're truly on self-start you'd not have any problems in any relationship at all. -

Depression and negative emotions are numbing. It's a slow death in some sense, poison for your soul. Love exhilarates life. It's intense, it's vibrant it's alive and blossoming, it food for your soul, it's the opposite of numbness. And it's always full of awereness and no ego or very little ego. -

If you see some beautiful quality in a person. Like wow he's so loving, wow he's so joyful, so detached, so peaceful, all inclusive or whatever. And you want to inherit that quality. Then you ask them and follow their advise as to how do I become loving like you, joyful like you, detached, equanimous, all inclusive, whatever. Then anyways you don't need to know if he's enlightened. This knowledge if someone is enlightened doesn't bring you anything in the end. -

That's not true. There's something valuable to learn even from a begger on the street. It's much smarter approach to life when you don't care who's enlightened and who is. Just wanting to become free from suffering and looking for answers from everywhere is a smart way to be. Then even an ant can be your guru. Whoever is of some help to you to grow - use them. Who cares if they're enlightened. -
Salvijus replied to SoonHei's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@SoonHei If by enlightened being you mean someone who has no identification with the body and mind, who is free from suffering, who's free of the fear of death. Who has zero personal agenda. Who's in a constant state of infinity or zero. Whom you could literally call a god.?! Who's presence could literally make you fall down on your knees and cry?! I'd say not single being is here like this. If by enlightened you mean someone who understands nonduality intelectually and has had an experience of oneness. Then i'd say every smart guy with some psychedelics is enlightened -

Yes humans struggle with it because they never payed any attention to know how to make the chemistry of joy and love within themselfs. There is a science and technology to take charge of yourself and make yourself blissful or loving all the time. It's more simple then you know. Actually being loving and joyful is not even an atchievement, it's most basic first step. But humans struggle with it all their lives. That's indeed, a funny situation goin on -

Love is just a sweetness of your emotion. Don't make it into complicated, heavenly spiritual thing. Even dogs are capable of love. -
It could also be that you don't feel comfortable with some particular person in the group

Also when Jesus was nailed to the cross you think he was suffering? No. He remained in total love and compassion to all the beings. When they were nailing him he was not a bit angry, frustrated, or any negative emotion.. He said I forgive.you all. And I love you all. That's why we hold him an awakened being. A devine being And it's not a yogic discipline it's what every authentic sage can do. -

That's what I'm saying. He's not afraid of pain. I never said he can't feel pain. Pleasure or pain doesn't mean anything to him. And it's not about mastering to stop the mind. It's about being conscious of your true nature, witch is not the body and not the mind that allows this detachment from pain in the body. -

Ofcourse he doesn't mean litteraly hell and heaven. -
Salvijus replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
He means that he has no fear of pain. Even being tortured in hell means nothing to him because he trancended his ego. He's no longer identified with his body or mind. Nothing can touch him and he knows.that..not intelectually but with his whole beingness -

Bhuddha said "I don't want to go to heaven, I want to go to hell because anyways I can't suffer, at least there I can help others." This is a liberated being. A true authentic being. Tell me can you go to hell joyfully? Without any suffering? Without any hesitation, without any fear of pain? -

The difference between enlightened and unenlightened is the embodiment of truth. When your actions clearly say you have no identification with your body and mind. That's the embodiment. Everyone can say I'm enlightened because that is the Truth. But not everyone can smile when getting stabbed. That's the only way to know fake from real -
Salvijus replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Enlightened being would be at total peace and equanimity during their stabbing. Would you agree or no? Please don't ingnore. I'm dying to know. That's what you came here isn't to help my with my confusion and questions -
Salvijus replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
He didn't respond once as far as I'm concerned. He thinks quoting scriptures is what I'm asking. i'm asking what is the state of his mind during pain. -
Salvijus replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You're clearly expressing some emotions here in every answer that you give. Is it so hard to tell me what emotions would happen during stabbing? Just tell me if your mind be peaceful or suffering. No advaita BS. -
Salvijus replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
What kind of emotions do you feel in this answer to PsiloPutty question? And what emotions would you feel during your stabbing.? Sorry to ask you this again. -
Salvijus replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
There's no stabbing, no stabber, no stabbee How do you function in the world if you can't see a difference between a stabber and stabee? -
