I have a feeling that the problems that psychedelics can help a person with, like depression, addiction, lack of motivation, trauma release etc, are a bit coincidential. I bet you could get the same benefits out of any intense experience in life. Just take sky diving, for example, I bet doing sky diving would solve most people's depression, lack of motivation, some compulsive addiction and the rest of it. Sky diving could even transform your life in some very deep way, it could permemnantly change you and your view on life and that's good. But that's all child's stuff really when it comes to consciouness work, these changes may improve your life, but they're not of much spiritual significance. And really one should try to solve such basic problems like depression through natural means like meditation and healthy concious lifestyle, not by popping pills all the time. These days people are really crazy with these pills. Want health? pills. Want energy? pills. Can't concentrate? pills. Anxiety? pills. Depression? pills. Can't sleep? pills. Enlightenment? pills. Seriously... this is such a sloppy mindset for me... it smells like a disaster from miles away. If a person is really serious about consciouness work, it would be wiser to adopt a valid spiritual discipline and lifestyle that takes ones consciousness higher on a daily basis. And not to think that you can just skip 40years of work with this "new" technology. Tho yes there are some paths that include external substances to their spiritual practice but those are done exclusively, with very serious studends, under very specific conditions, with right guidence, practices and lifestyle along with it. Just doing drugs with no spiritual dicipline leads to nowhere, in fact people become degraded and dumb this way after a while. The only reason psychedelic users grow is because they have a meditation practice going along with it. To promote psychedelics for bare beginners who are just looking for exitement and an escape from their problems is just foolish. Even if psychedelics can be used for spiritual work potentially, they should not be promoted to masses because all the wrong people will take on it first, for all the wrong reasons, and abuse them in all the wrong ways. You need to have some sense not to give a gun to an ape. Sorry, if this triggers someone's nerve because it's a very sensitive subject around here ? Much love,

I have a feeling nobody understands this subject properly enough to comment about it here. It takes enourmous level of understanding of human system and mechanics of enlightenment and life to have something significant to say on this. But I'll just share my limited perspective on this. What I see is that usually people who are most impatient and compulsive and have no clarity of mind who are the most attracted to these substances. It's a very understandable desire, to sit on couch, masturbate, play video games, take some drugs and become Jesus Christ. Who wouldn't want that? But I have a feeling life doesn't work like that. In this life you only get what you deserve. Whether it's fortune or misfortune, freedom or bondage, in some way it is your karma. All those people who got enlightened by luck like ramana maharshi or sadhguru simply did their share of sadhana and hard work in their previous lifetimes. That's how things work here. You don't get anything for free out of nowhere just by playing video games. For everything you have to pay and earn it one way or another. A wise man understands these principles and aligns himself with them to reach the goal. That's why buddha's teaching is called dhamma. It means laws and principles of nature. Psychedelics can be used to assist to process of growth of you understand the laws of these substances. Otherwise you'll just slow yourself down by damaging yourself to varying degrees. But people like to take the chance while having wishful thinking that they will come out of the psychedelic experience untouched, undamaged which is a very childish attitude that stems out of impatience and compulsiveness and certain sense of desperatness not out of wisdom or awareness or peace. If you observe, it is usually the beginners that are most drawn to it not the sages or wise people. I used to feel very passionate about psychedelics first time I heard about it, like it was some super smart thing to do, as the time went on and I sticked to my practice and just rised my baseline sufficiently I came to the point where the idea of doing psychedelics started to make little to no sense to me. I bet if people could come out of their initial stages into states of presence and peace, the desire for such things would evaporate. You'd simply be content with the way things are unfolding in its natural way, in its own perfect timing. The way it is meant to be. "Nature is never in the rush, but always accomplishes its work" ~Tao Te Jing. Wise man is one who follows the natural laws and is not trying to force things to happen before its right moment. In the end everybody comes to their own conclusion about this topic according to their own inteligence and awareness. Non of us have a full picture understanding of this matter. But for what is worth, I feel there are much wiser, safer, better, more systematic and in the end faster ways of working on your consciouness than psychedelics. Not that I'm against psychedelics I just don't see them as great as they're being promoted here. Not to mention all the side effects and dangers assosiated with it. That's just how I see it today. I may change my mind someday. It's just a perspective in the end. Regards,

Christians don't like paganism and deity worship but their religion is exacly that. Christ worship is no different than deity worship. It's the same science and method. To tune in and absorb a higher energy and become one with that energy is the essence of christianity and deity worship that christians are so against of. I find this to be very funny and paradoxical. -

Yield and overcome, Bend and be straight, Empty and be full, Have little and gain, Have much and be confused. Therefore the wise embrice the One and set an example to all. Not putting on a display, they shine forth. Not justifying themselfs, they are distinguished. Not boasting, they receive recognition. Not bragging, they never falter. They never quarrel, so no one quarrels with them. Therefore the ancients say. "Yield and overcome". Is that an empty saying? Be really whole, and all things will come to you. Lao tzu -

That's a great way of doing the inquiry mentioned by Shambhu. Question who am I can be used to scan and find the psychic image or identity that you're holding in your head. As you're becoming more and more aware of the subtle layers of your identity, naturally an increasing distance arises between you and your person, you and your ego. This gives you freedom and fills you with intense love. I did this method for a long time and still do. It's my #1 practice. It's also called "I watching" sometimes. Or "establish your identity" is what Mooji would say. Classic example, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EBzdyuv7LvM Love, -

Yes because often to follow you need receptivity and devotion, it comes easy for a woman. Man are too arrogant usually to follow anything or bow down to anyone. So they have to grind it by themselves. Either you generate energy from within by yourself, or you're open enough to receive the grace in cascades from above. Those are the two ways I think. Sorry, I know that question was not directed at me ? -
Salvijus replied to Sunmaster14's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I actually have another theory on this. I think male body is energetically better suited to do transmitting. Female body is much more better for receptivity. You can see that principle of life in the sexual organs even. Females can simply receive knowledge without any sadhana unlike men who have to grind all the time. That's why so many great teachers usually take male body because male body allows them to do powerful transmitions that you need if you want to transmit knowledge and grace. Of course a guru is beyond body, but body is an instrument that can be used for different purposes. You don't see a woman carrying a man on her shoulders, don't you? Because that's not the women's role. It is a man's role to be underneath and carry people through the river of samsara. For what it's worth, I think being on top is way more enjoyable than carrying people. To play the role of a carrieer is really hard work, not that woman cannot do it, it's just that female body is less suited by nature for the job. Female body is better at other things like supportive role(gaming terminology), I heard that the the way energy is functioning in a woman is different, it moves in a spherical manner(AoE), male body energy behaves in a more concentrated way (Single target dmg) so woman tend to be more intuitive becauce this energy picks up a lot of information from the outside and gets filtered through her system. They are more sensitive and better at doing some psychic or healing type of work. These are just my ideas mixed with what I heard from other teachers, don't take this seriously, it could be totally wrong Regards ?
