  1. Lol. You're right. I completely dismiss a statement like that.
  2. And how do u know what things are placebo and what are absolutely true and scientific? U don't. You're just guessing most of the time and labeling things left and right as placebo without any arguments to back it up. That's the point im trying to make. It's so simple and obvious if you're honest to look at it.
  3. Some things are true even if u don't believe at all in them. You're dismissing a lot of spiritual phenomena without any basis.
  4. Even if we go by your definition of what chakras are (my definition is a bit different). U're still admitting that they exist. So... what was the point in writing that?
  5. Your theory is valid. But u are using this theory to explain what was sayed in the video when what was actually sayed had nothing in common with your theory. That doesn't mean your theory is not valid tho.
  6. Yea but you're impling that sadhguru is spreading total bs but it still works. And then u say chakras and mantras are total bs too but it works by the same principle. And i say that's all just name calling without any back up arguments. Truly u don't know if it's bs or not. You're just guessing. Those are just empty statements without any substance.
  7. @Gesundheit2 oh okey, i see your point now. U think it's too fairy-talish to be true. That's fair enough. But i don't understand what's so fairy talish to say that different times of the day are more condusive for different tasks. It's true for plants, animals, insects. Might as well be true for human beings and meditation. When it comes to such matters, it depends how credible is the source of information i guess.
  8. @Nilsi @Michal__ lol, just how hard it is to understand the argument that at different times of the day the system functions differently and is more condusive for different tasks. It's so simple. How do u even come up with such weird interpretations lol. Calling chakras and mantras superstitions is just a label without any real back up. How do u know it's all fake? U don't. You're just guessing, im guessing ?
  9. This seems to imply that sadhguru is a fraud teaching just for money and makes up lies to make his audience bigger. If u chose to make statements like that, at least back it up with some arguments. So far it's just name calling without any substance.
  10. @axiom yea i heard his awakening story. it goes a bit different actually. First awakening was for 4hours and the second time it happened it was for 12days or so. He didn't change his story once really. It's always the same. I think u confused something, that's all.
  11. That's actually the first decent criticism i heard on this thread so far. I was thinking the same thing that 3.40 in summer is very different then 3.40in winter. And what about all the time changes etc. All this rises many questions. But at the same time im not quick to dismiss it bc there could be some truth to it imo. I just think he wouldn't bother making up lies just to get sick pleasure out of it. Plus his explanation is convincing enough that there could be some truth to it. At least for me.
  12. Yea yea, he's so evil, deceiving people is his highest pleasure, he can't get enough of it. Very smart perspective indeed ?
  13. @SOUL i have no idea what that has to do with anything ? sorry i have a hard time understanding u. But i don't think what u sayed disproves the statement: "to be able to see the truth of buddha's teachings, it takes a certain maturity in conciousness" i think it's a fair statement but u seem to dislike it and then write smth about it that i don't understand ? my bad.
  14. @How to be wise what's so obviously nonsencial about it? I don't get it. All he sayed was that human system functions differently at different times of the day. Which is an obvious fact known to everybody and easily provable. Even plants and insects behave different at different times of the day. And second thing he sayed that a particular time is most useful for initiated practitioners because of that reason. How are u so sure that all of it is bs? I bet u have no argument at all. U just didn't like it. That's your only argument probably lol.
  15. @Loba In acim it is sayed the qualification for entering heaven is to be able to maintain holy instant throughout the day. The presence of love that Jesus can teach u, if u can maintain that 24/7. U become eligible for heaven. But probably by the time u reach that place, all your thoughts about suicide will be long gone, as it should ?
  16. Aaa, okey. Now i got what u were trying to say. But this is also just your opinion. My opinion is different. I think there are some things that are universally true to everyone. Like everyone seeks freedom. I think that's a universal statement applicable to everyone. Some are concious of this fact and some are not. And that it takes a certain maturity and wisdom to recognize the authenticity of buddha's teaching. I think that's a fair statement too that could be universally true. It is definitely hard to see for a beginner why dissolution is the most liberating thing. I never would've understood it few years ago. Was too dumb.
  17. @Raptorsin7 yea opinions are sometimes very close to being true and sometimes super far away from being true. We don't know how close tj revees's opinion was to truth but my personal opinion is very different then his.
  18. @SOUL i didn't get any of that. "not smart enough to recognize the wisdom" is just my sloppy framing of what was really sayed.
  19. He forgot to mention that it's just his opinion and he doesn't fully understand neither budhhism nor christianity
  20. @Raptorsin7 you're trying so bad to put christianity above buddhism lol. In the end u don't know. And i don't know. Better not to take sides. Just be open, grow and enjoy both perspectives until u become wise enough to see that they are both equally valid. (I assume that's what happens when u become really concious, debatable)
  21. @SOUL Christians say if u don't believe me you'll go to hell. Buddhism says, there is a stage of development where all doubts in dharma wanish. Until that point u need little bit of faith bc you're not smart enough to see the truth of it yet. That's very different then christianity imo. I think it's pretty fair also.
  22. ? Daoists preach immortallity. A strange religion aswell.
  23. at least in christianity i can drink grape juice ?
