  1. Don't trust the all or nothing approach. Everything is unhealhy in excess. A good rule of thumb is to limit junk food to a maximum 20-30% of your daily food intake.
  2. @Annetta @AndreiC Thank you both for the input! I made sure not to come up with names I don't resonate with, so both of them are good. I'm gonna wait for a few more opinions until I make a decision though.
  3. For fans of metal music. Not really an original composition, but I've put a lot of work into it.
  4. @Lorcan If you don't have any tangible real life skills yet, dropping out will only backfire on you. If you do have tangible skills, drop out after you produce some results, not before. Run some experiments just so you don't fall flat on your face after you drop out. Also, what's the big deal? You can just half ass your assignments and get passing grades. That would free up at least 50% of your time dedicated to school and put it in a side hustle. That's what I'm doing right now in college. I ain't gonna do anything with my own degree, but it's a good time to do great foundational work in order to be succesful later, because no one can bother me and I can study and do whatever I want in my spare time (which is 90% of the time because I handle school work intelligently -and I still get A's with minimal work- and no, I'm not a genius in any way - I can recommend you some books if you want to figure out how to do that too). Your only problem is a lack of time management and smart work. You can make progress on a magnitudinal level in your self-development while also being in school and doing boring school work. Dropping out ain't gonna solve anything. Your problems are only going to take a different form. If you are smart, you're gonna play the system easily and figure out a way to do 3 hours schoolwork per week and 50-100 hours your own thing. The question is, are you actually willing to put in the work?
  5. @Dantas Thanks for the input! Happy to see encouraging people around here!
  6. @wavydude Thank you! I am soon to be 20 years old in August. Yea, I'm looking to validate the idea and see if people like it before starting. I've been playing for 8 years now. I've been in bands and I finished formal education in music theory. Also, I am 2 years in my philosophy degree (humble brag, haha). All of these I think would blend really well and bring in a fresh, new perspective. I am glad you like it!

  8. 1. You can be present when you are in a conversation with someone. 2. Make friends with whom you share interests. 3. If you frame it as painful, it will be. Ex: An oral exam in college can be either a drag or an opportunity to have a deep discussion with someone intelligent. 4. You may tend to be introverted, but humans are social creatures. You can't fool your body's evolutionary memory, although it can be artificially surpressed by things like bad habits, limiting beliefs and social conditioning. You don't need to find a way to eliminate introversion. You need to find a way to ENJOY interacting with people again. Also, your mood may play a big part in this. If you are unhappy and lethargic, not only will you not want to put an effort and talk to people, but they will also not want to hang out with you because you are unhappy.
  9. @alyra Watch Leo's video on the power of self acceptance. The exercise in there can make you cry if you process the full implications of what he says.
  10. @OnceMore That's just homeostasis. When you'll try to change anything, you will encounter resistance. The key is to push past the resistance (either from yourself/family/friends) until you escape it. Once you do the thing for a long enough time, the results will speak for themselves and you won't need to give explanations to anyone. Ex: Let's say your parents see you changing your diet entirely to put on muscle or lose fat. At first, they will try really hard to persuade you to go back to your old eating habits. The key is to push through. Once they see the actual results from that change, they won't say a word. On the contrary, they will ask you to help them do that too. I had that happen to me, not only with fitness. First they resist you going for the change and then they will beg for your help to show them how to do that too because they start to see the benefits first hand.
  11. @xXguitarsenXx He also commented that it might have changed in 4 years since he has done a lot of consciousness work.
  12. @xXguitarsenXx He said in a forum comment that he is an INTP.
  13. Combine the egg whites with some tuna in the skillet and add some garlic. You can also put a side of pickles in the plate. You can also try shakes or try intermittent fasting (meaning you skip breakfast)
  14. In Leo's video about magic mushrooms, he said that his 2 mushroom trips made him mode grounded into reality. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding the terms but wouldn't shrooms actually make you more ”airy fairy lost in being” ? How does it translate to clarity in practical life? Do you just become more at ease with the present moment and hence do your work better? I would much appreciate an answer. Thinking of doing 2g myself someday to get an intro into the realm of psychedelics.
  15. I have a lot more if you want, haha.
  16. @Martin123 Ooooh thank god. I just get really tired. I see a trend where everybody that starts getting into no-self, spirituality and nonduality suddenly start twisting all common language around and just see ”ego here”, ”ego there” like a sniper when you're just trying to use common goddamn language. Like, to some people, I just tell them that ”I ate a chocolate” and they just start blabbering : ”There's no you to eat a chocolate. It's an illusion” and stuff like that. It gets really obnoxious. You might have experienced it, haha.
  17. @Danielle I'll finish all the Headspace series first because I already have a lot of momentum and then I'm gonna try out Calm and Insight Timer.
  18. Pretty self-explanatory title. I've gone through Take 10, Take 15 and Take 20 and am now on the Discovery Series, Part 4, Day 3. I think it is the best way for people to get into meditation, and also has different series focusing on different things, getting you acquinted with a lot of aspects of your mind and emotions. 10/10 for me! Andy's voice is also very soothing, and makes me get rid of resistance a little easier. Have you tried it? How was your experience?
  19. @Martin123 I know what you mean and you know what was actually meant. Can't use anything but language on this forum. I know, there is no one to be open minded, no-self, no-mind yada yada. I was just showing openness to the idea, not trying to reinforce the ego as open minded etc. I can't formulate even the proposition previous to this one without an ”I”. It's just language, haha
  20. @Martin123 I don't think of it as negative. It's a natural process. I just refrained my judgement until I get some experiences. Nothing bad about it. Others, I don't know. I consider myself pretty open minded.
  21. @Martin123 If I feel heavy emotional energy I just do pranic breathing and it goes away in 2-5 minutes. I will refrain my judgement on vomiting to release emotional energy until I actually experience it, if I do, of course.
  22. I maybe just don't see the benefits of vomiting yet. If I would take shrooms, I would look forward to the experience, not to vomiting. I don't know about it yet. I haven't taken them. But it sure felt real good vomiting after 1 night of heavy drinking a few years ago, haha
  23. @Martin123 Vomiting may be ok, but I don't see why you would look forward to it. Shrooms are known to produce nausea anyway.
  24. @Girzo This is a great idea! Headspace has things like this : Sos Meditation for when are overwhelmed or having a panic attack, guided walking meditation and public transport meditation (when commuting to work). Of course, Headspace deals with meditation but this concept can be applied in a lot of other areas, like you said (dating or something to bring up your consciousness when you are in the middle or after a tough situation)!
