  1. Because they are YOUR distinctions. The acts are temporary. Unless you are awakened you do not know and never will know actions that are egoic vs actions that are spontaneous. Yes, even people who transcend their egos have a ton of shit to deal with. Ego is the problem you are right about that. But no ego doesn't mean perfect, it just means no ego. I challenge you to throw away the bullshit new age conception of ego and discover for yourself what your ego is. Here's an analogy: Ego is like a cork in a champagne bottle. That's why most people have one, they dare not let go incase they get accosted by moralistic little shits. I've had it with this forum, this is not a genuine self development forum
  2. @Natasha Thanks Natasha. With an attitude like yours you will go far in your path
  3. @MarkusR @MarkusR You will get over it. It's actually a function of your immaturity and ego that you even write such posts. (I hope this doesn't upset your ego too much Markus)
  4. @Huz Thanks for balancing out my comments. Yes self improvement is fine, I'm sure I'd still be stuck without it. It has its place.
  5. @Huz No Harri, It's not a helpful reminder. I'm saying that this self development path is a complete illusion. Just talk that gets us nowhere fast. Im done with it. "Self development" has absolutely nothing to do with being a human being. It's just baseless ideas being adopted to give one the feeling that they are in control, that goes against ones destiny and makes us more unhappy, locked in some ideological nonsense of improvement. Shifting ideas around in the dream keeping us locked in the dream and taking us away from any real opportunities for change. It's indeed a trap but something we all fall for. How many years wasted on trying to be something else when all that time we never had any real control over this? What a waste
  6. @MarkusR It looks like you have some idealistic and distorted views about some things. Angry, idealistic too. Let me ask you a question, if you really "don't know shit" then why did you create this topic? "Not knowing" means to stop imagining that what were seeing is what is "out there". This practice of taking back projections has a purpose, it affords us the opportunity to regulate emotions and heal the mind, so that one day we really CAN know "shit"! That's the main objective of "not knowing shit". I invite you to try this excersise for yourself and see in which ways you are attempting to control your own projected image with the conscious part of your identity. Mal
  7. @charlie2dogs Hi Charlie, as I read your words here I notice myself astonished how you are able to continue to wade through this brick wall of b.s, lies, resistance, projections, insults and disrespect. I would have given up by now, in fact I HAVE given up, because I cannot continue to read any more of this nonsense on here and at the same time dismantle my belief system. I cannot believe people are buying into this stuff they are reading. I have lost faith in everything I've learned because I know now that it only made me worse and kept me locked in my head.
  8. @Extreme Z7 That's how Ken Wilber describes how your ego hides out in 2nd tier. I won't tell him you said his worldview is "cartoonish"
  9. @Extreme Z7 "You're fucked up, and I "know" how you're fucked up. Here, listen, I can show you some information and methods so that you can be less fucked up (like me) and then you can recruit more fucked up people so that I don't have to walk around in a world feeling it's full of so many fucked up people"
  10. Hi, thanks for your inquiry. 'Truth' means there is no longer a conceptual barrier between the apparent subject and the apparent object world. Truth is not a thought or a philosophy, it's a direct experience of "what is" This only becomes an idea, a memory, when one comes out of that experience and identifies as a conceptual identity again. This is what I'm doing here, talking about an experience I had, but the experience was that I had seen things are they "really are". What I'm assuming is that your personal definition of Absolute Truth is something along the lines of "there is only one way". But that's not what we're talking about here. We are talking about reality and what reality really is. Reality is not a product of the human mind, reality is everything. In reality there are no divisions between you, me and a slice of cheesecake. These "divisions" are mental constructs created by language and beliefs - a story which is built over a number of years since early infancy. The baby in the cot bites her thumb and notices that there is a "me" and a "thumb" and some pain/pleasure. This is the genesis of the story of our dream that takes us away from experiencing the truth and puts us into a state of imagined separation in order to master life as an "individual". Technically, we don't access Truth. Truth is all there is, but we just don't experience it because we think there is a "me". For example, when we crave for cheesecake, we automatically assume that the "I" want's some cheesecake. But the reality is that the craving just happens without "I" being involved. What does your brain say when you want cheesecake? "I fancy some cheesecake!!" ?? But the real sequence is: "Fancy some cheesecake..... "I" The "I" is the last thing to 'happen'. But the problem is the "I" imagines itself to be in control, has free will and has a choice. But this is an illusion, and when the I imagines these concepts of free will, control and choice are real this is when suffering happens, because this "I" thinks that it can change reality in some way. Which is complete nonsense. Seeing through the illusion of this "I" is to know Truth. But be careful, the "I" can never access Truth, because trying to access truth means that the "I" is already striving. What needs to happen is the "I" collapses. When that happens all the conceptual barriers it created collapse too.
  11. @Zephyr Not sure why you have summoned me to this?
  12. "Hurts more, bothers you less" - Ken Wilber
  13. @dboyle Read the book by Joseph Campbell - The Hero With A Thousand Faces
  14. It means (for me) that Ayla knows everything is just appearance, there is nothing there to take offense at any of this, it's just "light" dancing.
  15. I'd like some insight into what you guys have learned about, realized about the phenomena of projection.
  16. @Ayla It's OK Ayla. I don't want to be a crab in the bucket for you. I had a whole response lined up, but I don't want to rob you of your state. I see you're in the zone
  17. There is a big difference between judgement and discernment.
  18. @Ayla No comment
  19. What do you mean?
  20. @Teags Hi Teags, You came here looking for answers, like all of us. Because there may be some dissatisfaction in us and deep down we know that something isn't right and that materialism doesn't seem to really improve our situation. So, yes this is good, but that's where it ends. As far as awareness is concerendd of course, try to understand it. That's all we can do is try. But it's ultimately a path that leads to nowhere, because the person can never understand awareness. Awareness is an energetic shift when the person and it's concepts collapse and all there is left is awareness. There is a cliché: You won't know what a strawberry tastes like until you have tasted a strawberry. Asking to define awareness is akin to asking somebody what a stawberry tastes like, pointless. But that's the life of the human being, to strive for things that it will never get. Neurosis does not go away while the identity is present. The identity IS neurosis, a contraction against reality, a delusion of a subject and object dichotomy. So, is it not better to just eat the stawberry instead of think about the stawberry? Mal
  21. The idea that an enlightened person would not call themselves enlightened is true, but it's also false if none of us know what this statement means. For example, we heard our teacher say this statement and misunderstand what the teacher really means when they say an enlightened person would never call themselves 'enlightened'. A person who is not identified with the illusion will not think they are "enlightened" because they merely live in reality. It's nothing special. Reality, and liberation is most normal thing there is. But a person liberated from the dream CAN say they are self-realized when they are communicating their reality to others. Self-realized teachers indirectly proclaim they are enlightened purely by the fact that they are teaching. We need to understand what this means when our teachers say: "enlightened persons never proclaim they are "enlightened".
